Wild Forest

I wish I could smell a lot of cedar in this, as others do. Instead, it's a light iso e super dominant scent, so light it doesn't irritate but it also doesn't do much for me. There's a bit of a sparkling green quality, a touch of spice and wood, etc., but the only thing that dominants is what appears to be iso e super. Where is the vanilla? That might have helped this one a lot, unlike other scents that have way too much of it! The bottle is really nice - even the cap is wood, but then again I don't really want trees destroyed for this purpose. In any case, I can't see myself wearing this one again, unless my sensitivity goes up again, in which case I might be able to smell more (but then again, the iso e super could be too strong). I'd rather wear this than something like Stash, which has a note clash quality to it for me, but I'm thinking swap list with this one, since someone might be able to appreciate the scent, and the bottle will look nice - very niche type design.

Someone has already noticed that leather in fragrances wears best in summers. I'm finally enjoying this one! What I previously used to get from it was the nauseating violet leaf and pepper, something cucumber-ish combined with some gasoline. Pretty much like Dior Fahrenheit scented shampoo, if there ever was such product. Now we're talking! Leather all the way. Not like a warm, worn suede jacket; more like the inside of a new car. It is rather synthetic, yes, and absolutely masculine; yet being a girl, who loves her dandy car and the feeling of safety, freedom and general ability it gives me, I'm loving this scent.

I was given just a sample, but I was wearing it at home as it has that lovely earthy smell. When you live in a concrete jungle sometimes you crave smells like this one.

The opening of this is gorgeous, mellow, earthy and slightly damp. It evokes the mood of a stroll through an arboretum (not wild forest, it's too well groomed). Unfortunately the opening is very short lived and it quickly shifts to a heavy violet followed by a nondescript generic base, with overall weak longevity. A shame - this would be a favourite if it stayed closer to the opening. As it is - difficult to recommend this.

I use it as a more economical alternative to my Giorgio Armani Privé Bois D'encens. I love the frankincense note, really masculine.

The smell of a woodworking shop bottled up. We're not talking about luxurious, rare hardwoods, but rather the scent of ordinary timber—pine or spruce planks. It's linear, a one-dimensional fragrance. Wood. Nothing more, at least for me, despite all the notes listed. No one can accuse Armand Basi of false advertising: the bottle itself tells you exactly what you're getting. It's not bad, but I simply expected a little more magic, a hidden layer of complexity, but apparently there isn't one. I love the smell of wood, but I don't find anything particularly exciting about having my skin smell like a carpenter's workshop.

@Julie Billi, Haha it is a very attractive bottle, with a very attractive ad. And though I do love the smell of cedar as a wood, that's really all I can smell in this frag. There's no complexity at all. And yeah, maybe I had too many small animals as a kid, but when I smell cedar, I do think rodents ;)

All I can smell is cedar. If I wanted to cuddle with someone who smells like a hamster cage, I'd get myself a hamster.

One of the better pepper and cedar combinations I've yet to experience. Light incense and violet leaf is integrated into the composition beautifully, neither too prominent nor out of place - just blended extremely well. The leather is suede like, very transparent. This is what Graphite should have smelled like.

This smells like a watered down, sporty version of Marc Jacobs Bang. Very peppery, but it doesn't make an impression of a pepper-box because of a violet-citrusy background. Low longevity and sillage.

Jadelynn, this is one of the funniest reviews ever!!!!! :) :) I don't know how this perfume smells, but has a nice bottle! I would love my husband to have it only for the botte.....(pfff....women :p)

wonderful, too bad it's gone in an hour or less. basi should make it last longer.
