Jardins de Babel Hesperides

A lovely perfume. Very beautiful combination of fresh and sweet, mainly fruit, with a touch of vegetable crispness. Really enjoyable, especially on hot days. It lasts really well too, but it's great to re-spray during the day to get the fresh crisp beginning again. Very lovely flowers are there too, and a very nice teak wood smell. I like it a lot.

According to its name and color I expected a citrusy/refreshing fragrance, but actually it has a fruity/sweet smell,the raspberry and the blackcurrant notes are very intensive. It's a pleasant fragrance, maybe a little bit too sweet for me.

A surprisingly delicious fruity find! Jardins de Babel Hesperides is refreshingly sweet and green. The opening, to my nose, was a mixture of crisp green apple, a freshly mowed lawn and cucumber. The perfect Summer fragrance for a day like it is right now in Australia; hot, dry and sweltering. The heart changed rapidly to a sweet blend of lemon, apple, melon and fresh jasmine. Yet another delightful twist to this already unique and likable fragrance. Although sweet, this is not nauseatingly so. Woodsy accords prevent this fragrance from going overboard. The overall result is a scent that resembles tossed salad, both of the fruit and vegetable kind. Strangely crisp and refreshing. The price is just right for me, and it's a pleasure to know that it's not an overly well-known scent either. I hadn't heard of this brand up until now, so I'm glad I took the risk in testing this fragrance. An all-time Summer favourite, unique as well to boot.
