A Summer Breeze

A summer breeze is far from what this evokes; rather it comes off as some post-apocalyptic miasma. I am greeted with a horrendous blob of an aquatic base with lots of cucumber aldehyde verging the feel of freshly spilled petrol on a shore. Then there's a slough of dissonance that follows, which is the hallmark of an untrained perfumer that nonetheless still peddles their poorly conceived creations rather than patiently hone their craft (and credibility). There are elements that spike out so unpleasantly that I wanted to dispose of this immediately, but I waited until the dry down. What is truly terrifying about this is the flagrant disregard for perfumistic balance and what little skill there seems to be in how materials interact with each other; it isn't so simple as blending as you go along and have blind faith it will all come together in the end. A heaping amount of musks, fixatives, ambroxan, and Iso E Super won't do magic on their own. A deeper, more comprehensive understanding of how these materials and their fundamental purpose is critical for a perfumer in training. This is an absolute mess. My recommendation to the perfumer is to study and practice more, be open minded about structure and restraint, and over time, maybe they can reach a level where they have viable creations ready for the consumer.

This has a cringeworthy amber meets motor oil accord that I couldn't scrub off fast enough. I can see why someone threw this sample in with my purchase for free. I won't be passing this on, I'm going to give it the proper burial it deserves

I'm willing to bet by the sounds of some of these hateful comments that these people are haters from the perfume groups (one in particular) that continually bash start up perfumers like this guy. These aren't bad at all and definitely don't warrant the hate I'm seeing here
