Cafe Oud Intense

I call it 'smoky.' This fragrance will be a treat for birch tar lovers. It's smoky, and it has some nuances of coffee and, of course, captivating agar oud. It's visible that work is balanced so many times to fine-tune ratios. All fragrances of Aromas de Salazar are bold, impressive, and loud. This is not your typical cologne. It's full of natural ingredients that are so complex and perfumes on their own. Michael put them together very well as a whole.

Splendid tar-smoky opening, more cade than birch tar to my nose. Coffee and spices become noticeable after a while. Overall a pleasant experience, but only for the smoke lovers.

Aromas de Salazar Café Oud Intense, which I believe was discontinued last year, though Café Oud remains, is a fittingly a more extreme, sharper version of Café Oud, itself already a bit sharp with more oud than most similar such crossovers that I’ve seen. Intense has a sharpness that refrains from leaning animalic, more like an wood varnish that flirts with being petrol-like while never really crossing that threshold. Birch Tar probably best sums this up, the blend being one of birth, coffee, florals, woods, and oud. Very nicely done, a little less wearable than Café Oud while being expectedly more provocative. I get why the original remained and this got the ax, but am glad to have a bit of it. 7 out of 10
