Heavenly Tobacco

So it appears that I am the first to give a review for this fragrance. Let me start by saying that I have over 400 bottles of cologne in my collection so I'm always looking for something different and unique. I believe that I have found that fragrance indeed. This is not your typical tobacco fragrance like Herod, Tobacco Vanille, or even Pure Havanne. No, this is completely different and I have to say, I really enjoy this quite a bit. So far, the melon note is staying throughout the fragrance and underneath that, the tobacco and castoreum are starting to peak their head through, mingled with a little smoke and honey (to my nose). It has an ever so slight but nice vintage vibe running through it as well, but nothing too dated. I really can't say that this smells like anything that I have, so Kuddos for that. Will this be a "crowd pleaser"? Probably not. But, those who can appreciate skilled perfumers who want to go against the grain and stand out, while still making a great smelling fragrance, then yes, this is for you. 4.5/5

A very dry, very earthy, slightly fruity, and woody experience. The blonde tobacco, melon, and elemi give a warm, fruity, and bright resinous opening. There’s that familiar jasmine note that runs through all three of these, mixing with the tobacco that hangs on all through the dry down. As it dries, the soil tincture becomes more present but we never loose the warmth from the opening. Love the aged and leathered nuance that the castoreum gives, and the resinous and funky earthy quality that is given by the oud. Overall, this is a very earthy wearing experience that is dry and aromatic. Surprisingly this is one that garnered me a lot of compliments when I wore it, so it seems to be a crowd pleaser as well.

My wife loves it, I’m happy with it. I have the unfortunate issue of going nose blind to this fairly quickly, which is rarely an issue for me so I couldn’t say why. However to my (apparently lacking) nose, this is a warm, almost fizzy tobacco, with plenty of patchouli with a dark oud backbone. It’s very nice, and keeps from getting too dark or animalic, despite its notes suggesting it may. It stays clean, warm, and rich. Definitely worth a sniff, maybe a bottle since my wife likes it. I just wish I was able to smell it as prominently!

A very enjoyable tobacco patchouli on a robust animalic balsamic base. Dense and powerful with great longevity!

This dries down amazingly, another unique niche scent worth trying!

I felt the need to shift to something more masculine before bed, so wrapping myself up to smell like a cigar sounds perfect. Before spraying I definitely get the root beer popping off the atomizer. On the initial spray the oud, castoreum, and tobacco come forward the most for me, creating the initial bitter root beer sensation others have mentioned. There's a burning wood embers nature to the open that almost smells like a campfire, but we're roasting licorice instead of smores. Progressing into the heart, I get a slight pissy honey layering over our campfire root beer, with a touch of white florals. In the base our beaver friend returns with a leathery balsamic grassy suede. It's too early to know if the beaver will be our friend or not. I was really hoping to smell more tobacco leaf, but it's still possible that it comes back much later in the dry down -- I'll update in the morning if that ends up being the case.

Sampling Aromas de Salazar Heavenly Tobacco, a tobacco-led fragrance launched in 2022 with an interesting ensemble of notes that leaves it a mix of spicy, floral, powdery, herbal, earthy, and even a little fresh. Featured notes include elemi, jasmine sambac, styrax, oud, castoreum, and hay. It’s definitely got a lot going on, a complex blend in which tobacco is the lead note but not by any means a dominant feature. It’s a robust blend prepared to tackle cooler weather, with a lot of the raw, spicy, resinous, borderline animalic aspects coming out through the opening and slight dry down. Overall, I quite like it but it’s a little challenging for me to decipher, and would probably take some more wearings to figure out. It’s priced at $175 for 50ml, roughly the average for the house, and performs excellently. 7 out of 10

At # 350 Glad a had a chance to sample this. Nice. Not great. But certainly good to have it in a collection. It is discontinued. I will not hunt down a bottle for exorbitant prices. So if you have it and don't want it, send it to me. Actually if you have any fragrance you don't want, just send it my way 😁. Just so I can give more reviews! Looks like there are bottles available. Get them while you can. You shouldn't sleep on this. This doesn't have the potency of TIMLL. About 7 hours of wear, little lighter projection. More animalic and leather added compared to TIMLL. Nice, wearable, and fun. Happy Hunting.

This is very well crafted and is one of the more "complete" scents from this house. Right from jump street I get melon mixed w/hay, elemi, and patchouli...oddly enough I don't actually get much tobacco. All very well mixed and it seems projects about 2 feet out. I also actually smell quite different when smelled up close as opposed to from a distance. My guess is it's a bit more pleasant from a distance. The longevity is 8 plus and up to 10 or 12 as a skin scent. Very weighty juice indeed! If you are into darker, different, and dense fragrances....this is a winner!

First impressions: Opening is like fruity and sticky(resinous) pipe tobacco. With the combination of melon is creating for my nose somehow fresh blue smell (what i really didnt expect), i can feel ocean/marine tones there like if the ambergris is the part of composition, it doesnt make too much sense i know, maybe its the castoreum with combination of other ingredient creating somehow this “blue” slightly vintage “oceanic” smell? There is also hint of smoke what reminds me the tobacco what should be main actor more. Im now confused, i dont like too much the blue thing there, at the dry down the perfume is more in the brown teritory where it should be, but the blue opening is confusing me. Maybe its just minty tobacco with “aquatic” melon creating this blue impression? I cant get over it somehow, because my overall feeling is more like smell of rain and it reminds me somehow Pioggia series from Filippo Sorcinelli, but Heavenly tobacco is absolutely in other territorium. Maybe just need more time to understand it. Overall its nice perfume with great longevity, but struggling with the melon, not sure if need to be there, maybe apple will fit my taste more. Will prefer more when it will be more on dark side than fresh side. But if im looking on it like summer scent, then its absolutely ok. Somehow like it more like clothing perfume than skin, will see if the perfume settles down if the melon will be less visible. Update: So after 2 weeks the melon thing there settled down and its not so bright, the oud started to be more prominent, also feel really nice honey and resin, starting to like it more. The sticky vibe of this perfume is really original. Similar sticky tobacco sweet smell you can find in Tabacaurum from Sultan Pasha. But at the end im thinking that the melon its too loud, it doesnt fit very well in this composition, my personal opinion is that it is ruining this composition. At the end im not really satisfied with this perfume, despite the fact that combination of other ingredients are nice.

I have the following on order and will update the comment with my review: Oh Tabac, Oud Vanille, and Heavenly Tobacco. Super stoked! Update: This is real perfumery. The aesthetic and persona of these fragrances are of a real element, very bright with the note breakdown hovering into itself, unlike another similar house having a similar base among other items in the line. This one has each item unique and particular with nuances in and of itself for the individual item -- none of them are similar with the base, etc. Super impressed.

Not sure what's going on in the opening on this one, but it reminds me too much of diaper rash cream. I'd like to know what note does that for me, because I run into it every once in a while... :/ The dry down, on the other hand, is wonderful. I'm not getting tobacco necessarily, but the oud is the delicious kind. The burnt caramel type. It reminds me of a cross between Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors Twilight Shimmer.

This is a great green tobacco scent. Tobacco by its nature is harsh. Salazar utilizes melon to offset that harshness to create a well balanced long lasting masculine leaning scent. Salazar's creations are usually high concentrations so a good value. Some people love to trash his creations. I'd say those people like mass appealing scents and salazar's creations don't aim for that audience.
