Carnal Desire

Not really an expert on oud fragrances, quite the opposite actually. First influencer frag I bought cause I got curious about the note breakdown and I enjoy what French Avenue recently put out. And I wanted to find out if I have maybe changed my opinion on finding Oud fragrances somewhat challenging, especially on my own skin. First off: this is way better than what you usually get for the 60cents per ml you spend for a bottle at Sephora or Douglas or whereever. In terms of scent profile and in terms of performance. The smell: it's actually sharper than I expected. You got cotton candy, orris, rasperry, vanilla and patchouli and you can detect those in the sense that without these accords the perfume would be an even more straight forward oud. At no point of the wearing experience would I describe Carnal Desire as a sweet fragrance. YouTube reviews are all over the place when it comes to CD - some say its photo realistic cotton candy, some say it's vanilla forward, some say its leathery first, some say its really floral. Scent is very subjective but I can't agree. These accords sure exist but this is oud forward. There are hints of sweetness and florals, but they are in no way defining any stage of the perfume. Aromatix talks of this as a flashy and loud oud and he's correct imo - its not barnyard, not pissy but it's loud, especially compared to the sweet, gourmand, vanillic DNAs that are so prevalent atm. Carnal Desire is quite linear, too. The opening is more juicy and tart but you can immediately smell what will await you in the base. It smells expensive, not cheap, not redundant, not basic. Performance is great, too. Great on skin, greater on clothes. Could be that my nose is used to sweeter scents and thus not used and more sensitive to sharper tart oud/leather scents. Conclusion: strong release, great bang for your buck. You simply dont get that sort of quality oudy scent DNA in the designer realm for that amount of money. Great frag. First review so if my wording is bad then oh well. I got this over Royal Taboo since I am not really a huge tobacco fan typically and the raspberry and cotton candy combo intrigued me. This is also my first oud fragrance and a complete blind buy cause why not. It definitely is a smokey incense oud variety and to my nose mixes heavily with that powdery iris and leather and sometimes can be a bit of a turn off for me as it dries down because to my nose it begins to smell like cigar/cigarette smoke in a way (not entirely bad smelling by any means but the nearest comparison I have). The opening of this is actually pretty nice with that raspberry cotton candy combo giving this nice sugary jammy sweetness that is unisex and well done. The dry down becomes a bit more oudy and that leather and powder mixes a bit more and gives a slightly more masculine approach for me. Longevity might be measurable in days on clothes and on skin gives me 12 hours minimum it seems like. Projection is certainly there as well, but time wise I never really paid attention to the sillage it provided. Certainly is there throughout the wear and probably longer than most of the other fragrances I own. Overall this is a fragrance I find worth the $60 price tag and is the most unique in my collection. I think I would say it's a solid 8 with room to grow as my nose for the oud expands.

Carnal Desire Aromatix X French Avenue is a fantastic introduction to the world of Middle Eastern perfumery. One of the best fruity leather scents I ever smelt, Wore this to some special events and had people turning heads. The scent is quite literally a BOMB, Longest lasting fragrance I currently own. Put it on at 2pm once, still smelt it the next day in the afternoon. Ordered mines off jomashop when it was on sale for 29.99, although it did come leaking out the back of the atomizer (had my room smelling like this scent for a week), it is the best 30 dollars I ever spent. Despite it being strong, the projection is only massive (4-6 feet) for around 2-3 hours after that it turns into a bubble scent (1-2 feet/arm length projection). Although not very mass appealing, many people said I smelt like a brand new leather purse mixed with an acai bowl, I personally found that funny but I love the scent. IMO it is an amazing scent for special events or date nights. 4-6 sprays is all you need unless you want it to project longer. I found that the more you spray the longer it projects without compensating for longevity so spray as much as you wish. Just be careful to not choke anyone out with this scent.

Okay listen this fragrance is a really hard Blind Buy, BUT my type of fragrance is Oud, Leather, Rose, etc i struggle to pull this specific fragrance off, but this is very much a colder day fragrance but Neeb & French Avenue did not hold back on the quality, the fact you can get it this cheap for the concentration and overall quality is just amazing When sprayed you get hit hard with the Raspberry Oud Sweetness, once it starts to dry down it the sweetness very slowly fades and goes down more a Smokey road scent, and if you ever had a problem with longevity and projection... No more this lasts DAYSSSS on clothing I mean you will smell it through out the week if not more I'm still waiting on a Cold Day but I will for sure be buying more fragrances from this line as both Neeb and Fragrance World/French Avenue both absolutely know how to do it I recommend it for sure, maybe if you've not yet experienced Oud and them type of fragrances get decants to test overall you will smell GOOD and STRONG, DIFFERENT (Overall, a hard fragrance but worn in the right time you will love)

90% similar to Cuir Infrarouge! Slightly sweeter notes to discover here though. The bottle and packing are beautiful and super high quality feel and look. The atomizer works fantastic and the whole package is amazing. But what about the smell? Beautiful raspberry, sweet cotton candy, mixed with rose and leather combine with oud, cedar, and with hints of vanilla and patchouli lingering in the background. It takes you on a journey for sure. The opening is wonderful and sweet. A raspberry and cotton candy, with undertones of rose and leather, lasting several hours. Giving way to the dry down, a spectacular smooth, soft, rosey leathery cedarwood vanilla slpendor that lasts an additional several hours before it becomes a skin scent. Very storng projection and sillage. Amazing quaility. This is an exquisite fragrance that quickly became one of my all time favorites. If you are a fan of leather fragrances you should definitely have this in your collection. A true gem. 10/10

Beautiful scent. Definitely for the masculine older crowd. Not the bubble gummy sweet stuff that’s massively popular nowadays. Opens with that raspberry smoky leather. I don’t get any kind of citrus like the note breakdown says, no cinnamon either from what I can smell. Dries down to where you can get some of the soft sweetness from the cotton candy. There’s some subtle rose in there. It’s not heavy on the rose which is great. In the base I get some oud, which isn’t animalic or too much. I don’t get vanilla or patchouli though. I just got it so it hasn’t been a full week yet. Maybe once it macerates a little bit I’ll get more of the notes from the breakdown. Right now it’s reminiscent of Azzaro Forever Wanted Elixir with the raspberry & smoky leather. It’s not a dupe or anything but it reminds me of that. I definitely recommend this for the fall winter times. I feel like the more I wear this the more I like it.

10/10 The best fragrance that I've owned till date. So smooth, so very well blended. High quality ingredients. I have only smelled Azzure Aoud (Not Maracujah) it smells nothing like it, it smells more towards the OMBRE NOMADE vibes. The thing about strong perfumes is that I go nose blind very fast. I've gone nose blind to this one too. But I could still smell on my shirt the next day, the subtle fruity gasoline oud smell (The best). Please do not compare this to AZZURE AOUD (Overripe mango without any oud) this is a 10/10 fragrance. Quality is insane for 60$. Settles down to a cotton candy, smoky, vanilla and a subtle hint of oud. Not offensive at all. It's full on leather and oud. I would go ahead and say it's even blind buy safe. Please buy it if you're a fan of ombre nomade. Thanks MUNEEB. Keep doing what you're doing. Expecting more fruity oud + leather fragrances from you.

To be honest, I Hated it when i smelt it directly from the nosil two weeks ago. Thought it was just a bottle of Oud and nothing more. Today is the coldest day of the year so far in Johannesburg and I decided to give it a try and just put it on and see how i feel about it, long story short im obsessed, I can't stop smelling my jacket or wrist. Prominent notes are Raspberry, Leather and Woods, and to be honest, you can't go wrong with that combination. it smells VERY VERY similar to Tom Fords Tuscan Leather which a colleague in the office pointed out this morning but with a little bit of Oud added on top and I fully agree. I would say it also reminded me of Ombre Nomad from LV(which I do have) as the notes are 80% similar but Tuscan leather with more sweetness is more accurate description.

This is exactly what I thought Oud Maracuja would be. Oud Maracuja combines my favorite fruit and favorite fragrance note, but it’s too heavy and dark to pull off on those colder spring and fall days. However this is the closest thing to a true year round Oud. Clearly made with high quality ingredients, this is a fruit forward open that settles into a sexy leather and oud. This is a true niche fragrance at sub $100. If you enjoy ouds, don’t hesitate to grab this. Take this same juice and pour it in a designer/niche bottle and people will be happily paying $300-$400 for it. No barnyard funk, this is definitely catered to the western market. I can safely say I’ve found another perfect 10 in my book (I’ve only considered a handful from my collection of 300+ to be perfect 10s.)

All I got in the first few sprays was a huge blast of oud and leather with almost no sweetness. I didn’t like it and people at work didn’t like it either. I feel like the notes were shaken up from all the traveling it did to my place, because it has gotten a lot sweeter after letting it sit for 2,5 weeks. The raspberry and cotton candy are dominant now with the oud and leather being a lot softer and more in the background. I actually love this stuff now! So it’s a lot more appealing to the public now I’d say, but still a bit challenging to wear. Performance is ridiculous, 2,5 weeks ago a little bit of the fragrance got on my jacket from my neck and it’s still radiating from my jacket. It just doesn’t come off clothes.

I received my bottle of Carnal Desire with much excitement and honestly I am NOT disappointed. What it claims to be is what it is. Very unisex, addicting to smell on paper. What smell is mostly the rasberry and cotton candy. I DO NOT smell any oud in this. The oud would have made it more niche or unique but as a oud lover it is very faint. Longevity is 7-8 hours easy and longer on skin( if you dont shower that is) but credit to Aromatix for the effort on this one. I just had to grab it because I fear it might be discontinued or difficult to find after some months. Oud Maracuja leaning than Cuir Infrarouge but it is just doing its own thing and very playful scent.

This is declaring war to people. This stuff is so potent and nuclear that Lattafa Atlas, Amber oud Gold, Ombre Nomade, Azzure Aoud seem like scents you could wear on the hottest day ever in comparison to this beast. It has the Azzure Aoud oud times 500 and has a very cool cotton candy and raspberry opening that you can feel. The oud is stronger than in Azzure Aoud and the Maracuja is replaced by a subtle raspberry and cotton candy. Not a crowd pleaser, many will be turned off and YOU WILL GET STARES. If you wear this in closed spaces you're killing the people and yourself. I like this fragrance tho because it's unique and a new way to kill people.

Nose Note #699 Best oud fragrance. Best clone on Maison Crivelli. Best performance. This oud-raspberry-cotton candy combination makes me speechless. The first time I sprayed it I already knew this is 10/10 for me. My wife doesn't like any oud fragrance so mind that this is not a safe blind buy. But I honestly don't understand how someone would not like this... After this I bought King of Arabia out of curiosity, but it has nothing on this. You can see it's heading in the same direction, but there's hardly any raspberry and no cotton candy - the two things I love about this DNA. 10/10, another entrance in the hall of fame

Smells reallyy good, inky oud with raspberry, cotton candy and i get an incensy vibe as well. It lasts a super long time on clothing but i have performance issues on my skin. I get around 6-7 hours of longevity with like 2 hours of projection. Usually this wouldn't be a problem but with how everyone says its a "beastmode" fragrance it doesnt really perform like that on my skin. It could just be my skin but the bottle was produced in December 2024 so that may also be a reason why mine doesn't perform as well as others. I'd say blind buy safe if you're into oud otherwise this is not for you. 8/10

I've been collecting and reviewing fragrances for over 30 years, and I have to say that Carnal Desire is a real standout. The balance of sweet raspberry, cotton candy, and deep leather with oud is spot on. It's got that rich, expensive smell but without the high price tag. I love how long it lasts, while it's unreal how long it lasts on clothes for 5 days. The scent is unique and not too sweet—just a mix of fruity and bold. It's perfect for colder weather when you want something that stands out. For the quality and price, this one is worth it!

As someone that got a chance to smell it while in Dubai I am blown away! Love how bottle feels and the design is soooo cool! The bottle alone feels expensive and the juice is insane! It’s unisex, strong and deff pick up some sweetness and the Oud. 10/10 for sure. Can’t wait to buy it and support a creator that has been grinding for the last 2 yrs! Getting a chance to meet and chat with him you can see the drive and passion he truly has for the fragrance industry. I am looking forward to seeing what is next for Aromatix.

It smells like raspberry on leather with some sweetness coming from cotton candy. Imagine angel paradis but instead of liquor there is woody leather. Its more mature and sophisticated than angel paradis, but that doesn't make it superior. It's just a matter of personal preference. It doesn't have a very strong projection at least on my skin. If it really had beast mode projection, I'd have rated it 10/10. Teas me 5/10 Sun kissed 7.5/10 Forbidden fruit 6/10 X xandal 8/10 Royal tobacco 8/10 Carnal desire 9/10

This is in the same realm as Oud maracuja and Ombre nomade. If you like both of those, I recommend you give this one a try. It’s fruity like Oud maracuja. Instead of that passion fruit note though, you smell raspberry with a cotton candy note in the background. This is also has a strong Oud and leather note, which make it resemble Oud maracuja and Ombre nomade. For the price, you can’t beat this. I’ve been using this a lot even though I have 100+ fragrances to choose from. Great release, even better price!

I received a free decant of this, and it's a very good oudy fragrance. Sweet raspberry, not that sweet, with leather and oud. The oud is not skanky it's very well blended with other ingredients. I have Gissah Akoya, and they share the same raspberry opening. In Akoya case, the raspberry is very sweet, while maintaining the subtle woody notes. Akoya is a bit linear, but I like it when I layer it with carnal desire decant

I got the chance to sample this in Dubai. It was pretty good leathery that had that mild medicinal oud background to it which is die for. The presentation was solid 10 felt more like a piece of art than a regular glass bottle. I cant judge on the longivity and the performance of the scent because it was a perfume exhibition and i had tons of perfumes on me i wish if i had the chance to get a sample to fully test tho.

Just opened this on Christmas Day minutes ago (a present) This is sweet with a strong raspberry opening. Very powerful perfume. Very pleasant and distinctive. The cotton candy is definitely there. Later on some cedar in the background. Comes in a high quality stoneware esque bottle and box. Longevity seems excellent and silage is too. I'll give another review when this develops. A big love from me today.

I got it today, first impression sweet raspberry and cotton candy which was so realistic, after 10minutes these sweet notes almost disappeared and became strong leathery slighly oudy(not so detectable) and less sweet.I smell the leather is really refined and smooth.I give it a 8.5/10 now but after maceration will goes higher, never judge on the first impression.This is nr1 rule for arab frags.

Yeah this is an actual banger, I paid 60 dollars including shipping and handling. This is niche level quality with a beautifully blended scent. A sweet leathery oud but the sweetness isn’t overpowering and the leather isn’t overpowering either, one material isn’t out weighing the other. Every note is complimented so well. Happy for Neeb and his future products, this is definitely worth it!! 🍭🪵

It's really good, holding off on a proper review as I can tell it's evolving. I couldn't detect the raspberry at first, it was just an underlying, undefined "fruit" note, but a week later, that's discernable and really good. We'll see where this goes, but out of the box, it's damn good. Edit 8/31/25 Just gets better and better and better. Love this one.

Cotton candy, raspberry, leather, touch of oud, i love it, but cotton candy and raspberry lasting so much and filling a room? I oversprayed it, like 25 sprays, for my nephews small function when he was born, my sisters and mom started complaining and said im no longer allowed to hold the baby, overspray at ur own risk, its so good tho wow

Carnal Desire reminds me of Roja’s Sweetie Aoud, but with its own charm. It features a sweet, jammy raspberry note balanced by woody and spicy undertones. Refined yet versatile, it’s perfect for any occasion. Longevity is excellent, and for the price, it’s a great choice for lovers of sweet, oud-inspired scents!

Just a quick observation. Maceration happens in the factory or where it's made and lets the perfume components blend. Maturation happens in the home. When you first spray, a little oxygen mixes with the perfume and develops it. Subsequent sprayings add to the maturation process, perhaps over months.

Had this a few months now. This is a sweet, rich raspberry leather perfume with some vanilla. The fruit lasts right through to the dry down. The blend is very pleasant. Longevity is good along with the silage. I love the Aromatix bottles, this one has a rough stone-like texture. It's a love from me.

This is VERY strong with the leather and oud there’s some sweetness from the cotton candy, raspberry and vanilla but, this is so strong it’s like Oud Maracujá but done differently I also seen that it’s compared to Cuir InfraRouge which it has the same notes essentially

Finally had a chance to use Cardinal Desire yesterday at a family birthday bbq and, this fragrance gave me straight up beast mode performance. I had tones of compliments. Lasted all day. And It smelled amazing IMO I highly recommend Cardinal Desire. 9 out of 10 for me.

Guys this perfume is the real deal. Such a unique scent but definitely gives Oud Maracuja type vibes. Long lasting and definitely beast mode. Such a great price for the quality! Been a follower of Aromatix from the very beginning and he definitely delivered!

Definitely has above average performance but it isn't as great as the ratings would suggest. I'd call it strong and long lasting. One of the best leather fragrances I've smelled though. 9/10. If you scroll down a bit bestbrandsperfume explains it very well.

I was a little disappointed in the air and on paper, but WOW, this is a beautiful fragrance on the skin and I am very happy with my purchase. It's wonderful. I will probably (definitely) check out the other fragrances in this line. Love it!

Carnal Desire is a distinctive, fruity perfume. Longevity and silage are both excellent. High quality presentation. A lovely raspberry note lasts and lasts. The cotton candy exists in the background. A really pleasant fruity fragrance.

This is really a masterpiece I want someone to convince me that this beautiful bottle and package with this niche juice is just under 60$ I don't know how they did it but this really put alot of 300$ perfumes into shame just wow

This one screams quality. I know it isn't a clone of Oud Maracuja, but I see the similarity. I also have decants for Oud Madness and Azurre Oud, and you can definitely feel that this one is much more sophisticated. 8/10

I’ve been an on and off low key fragrance hobbyist/ collector since 2017 and when I encountered scent profiles that are unique to my nose, I’m truly fascinated. This is one of those ❤️ Try before you buy 😉 9/10 🙌

Yeah I’d very much appreciate it if someone could post an actual review including longevity/sillage, since there’s literally no good review on the internet other than Aromatix himself claiming it’s beastmode.

I have this fragrance since it release and it is magnificient you get a beautiful rasberry oud combo which make it nicer and easier to wear and this project and last looooong 10/10 for me and in my top 5 ever

This shit slaaaps, this is clearly a clone of Cuir infrarouge, nothing to do with oud maracuja, same crivelli style of leather and oud combo but Imo this is way easier to wear than OM or Azzoure oud

This stuff smells great. I'm getting a well-blended mixture of oud maracuja and ombre nomad with a bit more ombre nomad. Crazy longevity and projection. Such a luxurious scent! 5/5 for sure!

Update - to add to below. The dry down turns mellow with oud and it stays sweet with a leather and a fruit background. It's lovely. Performance excellent. Try again after more maturation.

This is so nice. The oud, leather and sweetness combo is something I’ve been looking for instead of the over powering oud scents like ombré nomad. This is sexy and great for date nights

This is sugar, spice, and everything naughty. Cotton candy and raspberry lead the way before leather and oud crash the party. It’s sexy but not clingy.

Just got this, omg absolutely STUNNING! sweet, leathery and with a bit of very tolerable oud. smells like pure class. absolutely masculine. 10/10.

This is the best oud fragrance I have. There is a super raspberry note that compliments the oud very well.

Cheapy masterpiece.The drydown is identical with cuir infrarouge,the qualitt on this is outstanding.

This smells like a blend of Rasasi La Yuqawam and Montale Honey Aoud :)
