#109 of My Fragrance Journey - French Avenue Aromatix X Magnetiq: The peace treaty fragrance. I've reached a point where I refuse to work harder than my fragrance does. Magnetiq, to its credit, seems to have signed the same agreement. It doesn't try to reinvent you. Doesn't demand a personality transplant. Just arrives with quiet confidence, does what it came to do, and lets you get on with the business of existing. From the first spray, it's clear what it wants to be. Fresh, aromatic, clean - but not empty. Bergamot and pink pepper shimmer rather than shout, a bright tactile lift that feels earned rather than performed. Lavender is the real thing here - smooth and composed, no medicinal drama, easing into a rosemary-green edge that feels wide and atmospheric. Neroli and orange blossom sit in the background, but they're not the clutching-bouquet kind. They add a luminous, sun-drenched expansion that gives the whole thing room to breathe. Clean, but a living cleanliness. Less sterile hallway, more Mediterranean air through an open window. The restraint is what stands out. Iris weaves through with just enough texture to feel polished - a well-fitted linen shirt, not a powdery cloud. It's the dumb-reach fragrance for the man who's already put together and doesn't need his cologne doing the heavy lifting. Awake. Intentional. Entirely at ease with itself. The woody base - sandalwood, cedar, oakmoss, amber - supports the freshness without crowding it. Gives the whole thing enough structure to feel complete without overstaying its welcome. Rosemary cuts through cleanly, keeps everything moving. It's dependable in the best way. The kind of fragrance you reach for without thinking and feel right about immediately. That said, the Magnetic branding is a touch optimistic. The initial projection is lovely, airy and expansive, but it retreats to skin fairly quickly, like an introvert leaving a party early and being completely fine with that decision. By hour three, it's a private conversation rather than a magnetic pull. Longevity is decent but not exceptional, and the base, pleasant as it is, doesn't offer anything radically new. But here's the thing. Magnetiq doesn't aspire to shock. It succeeds because it understands wearability without tipping into generic. Fresh without sharpness. Clean without sterility. Masculine without weight. Its quiet reliability is the whole point - and sometimes that's worth more than novelty. In a world of fragrances chasing beast mode or avant-garde puzzles, this is a return to form. The scent of transition - that moment when the sweat of the day gives way to the ease of evening. Matured it for 3 months, this is what I can tell about it so far: The scent is good and addictive, I actually don't like MYSLF that much because of how sweet it is, but this one is kind of how I'd imagine if Hermes did it. A really fresh, floral and natural smell. It has class and a touch of sweetness that makes you wanna keep smelling it. The bad thing? It doesn't project nor last ANYTHING. I never got a whiff in the air of this, asked a few friends of mine after applying it and they told me it smells great, but around a hour later they couldn't smell it in my skin anymore, and they never smelled it in the air whenever they were close to me. I can't even use it in my gym, which is around 5' from my house, because the scent doesn't get to live that much. The bottle is really good, but the atomizer is SO bad, it always gets stuck for some reason. I hope the longevity gets fixed with a few more months of maturation, as I actually love the scent.

I was sleeping on this because of the mixed reviews, but I am so glad I finally pulled the trigger. This is a beautiful fragrance. It is super fresh, versatile, and a perfect all seasons, signature worthy scent. As a huge fan of lavender, orange blossom, iris and neroli, I love how this combines all four over a woody and musky base. The result is an absolutely high end laundry smell that remains distinctly masculine and feels quite natural, with no synthetic edges. Longevity is also pretty good for a fresh fragrance, lasting about 7-8 hours on my skin, but much longer on clothes. While this is much closer to the original YSL MYSLF EDP than Amouage Reflection, there is a clever twist. Magnetiq is slightly soapier and has a more mature vibe that definitely leans toward the Reflection DNA. Having owned and loved both originals, I can safely say the quality here is not inferior at all. For the price, this is an absolute steal.

Magnetiq – French Avenue This is one of those scents you don’t judge in the first 30 seconds. If you spray and immediately bury your nose in it, you’re doing it wrong. These neeb extraits are built to last, not to perform tricks on first contact. Give it a few minutes—let it breathe, let it settle—and then come back. Once it dries down, it becomes very familiar in the best way. The DNA is almost identical to YSL MYSLF, but with a slightly smoother, more confident twist. Fresh, clean, modern—like putting on a crisp white T-shirt that actually fits well. Effortless, not loud, but undeniably put together. Longevity is solid, projection is controlled, and the quality punches way above its price. Honestly, at this value, I’d reach for this over most designers without thinking twice. It does the job, does it well, and doesn’t ask for attention—it just gets it. Moral of the story: wait before judging. This one rewards patience 😁

Nose Note #997 This is like a mix between certain famous fragrances like MYSELF, Reflection Man and Lafayette Street. All three a similar, with Lafayette being the most different, but overall they are. And here comes Magnetiq, just an another wonderful example of what the other three are offering. I have Reflection and it is more flower-centered, kind of more naturalistic and definately longer lasting. But don't mind that. Ultimately this is seriously very good. If you are not too picky this can be a wonderful substitute for this DNA. Men only. Wonderful longevity, just enough. Good sillage. Just a great fragrance. I have only Teas Me and Forbidden Fruit left to try in the Aromatix line and not a single one dissapointed. This is not cheap-smelling. It's a complex, modern scent. Good perfumery 8.5/10, easy, works great, daily driver

Kinda dissappointed with the new batch. Ive bought a 5ml decant back in October 2025 when it first came out and it smell amazing. Strong, dense, thick and long lasting on the drydown. Couple weeks later it was sold out everywhere. Then when the stock available in Feb 2026, it just doesnt smell the same, i mean i notice some differences. Its like the new batch been watered down. I sprayed and compared both on my hand, and the new one looks less oily after 10mins while my hand with the old batch still shiny and oily. To me, the old batch have strong cozy cedarwood, amber, vanilla and myrrh at the drydown while the new batch have more sandalwood and oakmoss which makes it less dense and less thick body.

Ignore the skeptics, haters will always find something to criticise. This fragrance is an incredible twist on YSL Myself EDT, boasting impressive projection and longevity. It opens with that signature 'Myself' freshness, but as it wears, the emerging sweetness and woodiness create a beautifully rounded profile. To my nose, it feels like a hybrid of YSL Myself, Azzaro The Most Wanted and Versace Dylan Blue, yet it retains a distinct 'blue' character that makes it truly unique. Well done, Neeb! You clearly understand your audience. Unlike Afnan’s Lynked, which can feel a bit linear, this remains dynamic and vibrant throughout its life.

Amouage Reflection is my signature fragrance and Platine Blanc was a successful blind buy so I took bet on Magnetiq. It’s not a dupe of Reflection but more of a homage towards the classic. It’s more influenced from YSL MYSLF. The starting notes are really strong like Reflection. It doesn’t last as long as Platine Blanc for me but I have batch from October 2025 so I will let it macerate for now. Another good one from Aromatix. Can be easily year around scent and work friendly for sure.

it's like 25% blue fragrance with 75% MYSLF. very versatile and clean. below average performance, just needs self eroticism on the shelf. will come back after a month. EDIT: after a week the performance has been improving, I don't think people should review arab frags out of the box. idk what's happening over there but their frags need time to rest, usually 2-4 weeks depending on the frag, more if the frag has amber or resinous notes.

This one is a real ace of spade, you can use it everywhere, to every occasion, in every season, whether your going to the gym, work, meetings, dates, party, church, you'll smell clean and fresh and little flowery if you can call it that, performance is good, it last around 6 hours and projects hard the first 2 hours, until it becomes of a more subtle skin scent.

Really timeless scent, it's remind me of basic freshie barbershop scent, really blind buy safe. Fresh & Clean scent that you can wear for any occasions, if you like myslf EDP, you will like this Magnetiq, mt bottle batch is in Oct so i will let my magnetiq sit first for 1-2 months, cause i think the scent & performance will develop better after maceration. 9/10

Personally really like this! Not here from any influencer, found this by looking for something with cedar + iris + rosemary + amber + citrus. It was exactly what I was looking for, like my favorite smelling Deoderant (Mountain Breeze by Carpe). I'll probably be getting a full bottle when I can, unless I can find something similar for a better price

Bought today Smells quite sweet and good in the opening although it does slightly remind me of a bike store kinda smell. Update: after 3 days the"bike store smell" has gone away almost completely, it does remind me of the myself edp (about 80%)but I would recommend buying the og for an 80$ diffrence, blind buy worthy👌 8.9/10

@FredFrag_ no the new batches are not the problem, the problem is that you bought and tested a decant, which usually were bought wayy long before you bought the decant so they are at the very least a few weeks maturated. So when you bought a brand new bottle, it will require maturation. Has nothing to do with the batch.

It’s really really good, it differs from MYSLF precisely in the areas I’d like it to. It’s hyped, but I’m afraid this one of the ones that are worth it. Already considering buying a bottle to let macerate while I use the current one.

If you are familiar with the sculpture line from Nikos it is that DNA with bits of green on the side, I love this DNA and I am so glad I got a full bottle. I thought it was going to be more original, but absolutely love it.

Another banger from aromatix. Lovely, ysl myself alternative. Not more more to say other than that. It's long lasting and a compliment getter. I think frostbite will be next

I love it. Woody and white flower scent. Could be a signature scent. In the veins of Myslf and Reflection man without being a 1-1 dupe. Leans slightly masculine.

bought magnetiq a couple days ago, and i can say its amazing, the smell is so fresh and clean, lemon and flowers give it so clean vibe i really like this one.

This one reminds me of Mercedes Benz Sign Blue edt. Very generic barbershop blue showergel fragrance that most men can enjoy and mass appealing

Just recently got this I never smelled Amouage Reflection or Reflection 45 but it smells similar to Luna Rossa Ocean and MYSLF EDP DNA.

I got my bottle yesterday and its a great fragrance. Floral, fresh and aromatic got relative good projection and longevity on my skin.

Very clean and fresh. Can be dressed up or down. I love this and Frostbite. I think those are the best 2 from the line.

Same niche quality like the other ones from this line. Layer it with Tease Me and it becomes even better.

When I was looking for my next summer scent, i wanted something clean, fresh, yet a bit sweet and elegant, basically summer scent for all ocasions, from office or gym to summer evening dates. At first I bought Rayhaan Aquatica, which had too harsh lime opening, so I sold it to a friend, and after some research I stumbled across this. Found it on discount for 33€, which is an amazing price for this, so I blind bought it. First smell to this was kind of wierd, I was a bit dissappointed with alcohol-like smell, but after few days it started to smell exactly as I imagined it to be. Fresch citruses combined with lavender and white florals, with beautiful powdery musky notes and creamy, woody dry down. So it ticks out all the boxes I mentioned in the beggining. Only thing that is not as I expected is the performance. I get around 3 hours of moderate projection, then it sits close to skin, total maybe 6 hours. Currently I boxed it and put it away for a few weeks hoping it will macerate a bit so it will boost the projection and longevity. If you are looking for MYSLF clone, this isn't it. Try Arabiyat Prestige La Di Da. But I this fragrance writes whole different story. I think it is not a safe blind buy, because the aromatic notes can behave differently on someone else's skin. But when you find it for a good price and you're looking for the type of fragrance same as me, it is definitely worth a try.

Good fragrance but overhyped by influencer. Right off the bat - Presentation is amazing, good package design, beautiful bottle with a good atomizer. Something really respectable with these middle eastern fragrances is that they actually put quality on every aspect of their presentation. The scent is a good hybrid of YSL Myslf and a little bit of Reflection man on the background. Clean, easy, and office safe blue fragrance. This perfume opens up with a good subtle balance of citrus and a little spice then transitions into the white florals and finally settles into a fresh and soapy clean laundry dry down. This is a fragrance that does not scream in your face but rather embraces you with a very soft and inviting scent bubble throughout its 6-8 hour longevity. You could get noseblind to this but it's one of those fragrance that I was surprised to receive a compliment after a full workday of wearing - that is crazy respectable longevity for a freshie. Since this perfume is soft and subtle, it is also a pleasant and versatile layering scent. While it is not a mindblowing perfume, it is perfect for what it is: A clean and safe blue fragrance that performs. Very well worth it for the price.

A great release from French Avenue, I must say that this scent profile definitely stands out despite being clearly inspired by modern designers. The scent is fresh, musky and clean, it also has the slightest touch of sweetness that rounds it up quite nicely. Not much to say about it other than the fact that the quality is definitely on par with a $150 fragrance for a third of the price, which is nice. Definitely a spring and summer daily driver, really inoffensive and classy. It doesn't remind me of MYSLF or any of the scents in the reminds me of section, although I wouldn't be surprised if I smelt this on a Loewe bottle. Performance is acceptable, which is fine for this type of smell. Moderate projection with a 4-5 hour wear. Would recommend if you want an office safe scent or a dumb reach for this hot weather season. 7.5/10.

This is a unique and very classy, casual scent. I normally don't like unisex fragrances, this one leans slightly masculine but can easily be worn by women as well. Performance with Magnetiq is decent, I get 3 hours of projection, another 3 hours of active work and by hour 6 it's a skin scent. My bottle may need some maceration, but that's what I'm getting right out of the box which isn't bad at all. Magnetiq could be worn daily and year round, even as a night time fragrance, it's very versatile. In the opening you get a nice burst of lavender with some spicy citrus and white florals and in the dry down you get a very pleasant iris, amber and white floral mix. This is blind buy safe and makes for a great gift too especially with the aesthetic bottle and package design.

Testing both YSL MYSLF EDP and Magnetiq on either arm. Magnetiq is denser, creamier and thicker than YSL. I smell a thick, fabric softener type dna with soothing aromatic notes probably from the rosemary. This is quite a bit sweeter than YSL, where as YSL is brighter/fresher from all the Calabrian Bergamot. They’re definitely in the same profile but different enough to own both. Pretty impressive for the price - top notch quality. UPDATE: this is more Myslf Absolu than EDP, it has the viscous, laundry detergent vibe like the Absolu.

I would say this is a good perfume but it’s kinda overhyped because of Aromatix. Usually after the first series neeb launched, specially with the Platine blanc, his fragrances rocked because of their unique profiles. But magnetiq is just another blue fragrance with woody and floral notes, I mean it smells good but nothing extraordinary really, which excludes it from being a bang for the buck unlike Platine blanc. Performance and silage is also average, lasting upto 4-5 hours max after overspraying.

Great fragrance for its price. In the opening it smells quite close to YSL Myself, but in the drydown it becomes way woodier and less floral. It’s not as floral as I expected it to be, but it’s still a good perfume. I can see why people compare it to Amouage Reflection, because both are woody-floral fragrances in the drydown, but Reflection is still very different overall. Opening - close to YSL Myself. Drydown - slight resemblance to Amouage Reflection.

You get this spicy citrus smell in the opening from the pink pepper and bergamot. In the mid it turns very floral and aromatic ( lavender orange blossom neroli etc..) orange blossom sticks around in the dry down along with the musk, woods, amber, and vanilla. Very fresh and versatile fragrance can wear this anytime anyplace. I do have Myself Le parfum vanilla is way more prominent in that one this one is more aromatic hence the name 8/10

I received mine today along with Forbidden Fruit. It’s a nice, fresh, and clean scent with a soapy character (i think due to florals), definitely office safe. The projection and sillage are good for about two hours, after which it settles into a skin scent. I think I’ll let it mature for a while and see how it evolves.

Tried this at a perfume store today, smells like Bleu De Chanel. I have BDC Parfum, so once I finish that, I'd seriously consider this one as a replacement. That being said, I tried other frags, so I can't speak for its longevity, but the opening as well as the projection was what I wanted from this frag.

Maturation really helped this one, I was upset after buying it because of the hype and my high expectations. I had a lemony floor cleaner at first but now it’s a nice sweet clean clothes vibe that I’m really rocking with. I feel like it’s going to get even better so I’m excited for the journey.

Not sure if I'm going crazy but smells pretty similar to Teas Me. It's kind of like a realistic vetiver and pine shower gel. I feel like this line has let me down pretty bad, I also have Forbidden Fruit and I would say I prefer it way more than both of these but maybe time will change that.

Mix between MYSLF Edp and reflection man. Great dumb reach that fits any and all occasions. If you’re only going to wear one fragrance year round and you want something less than $100, go for this one.

I enjoy this. Smells like Lafayette street in the opening and then turns into YSL myself as it settles. Would be good for layering. Nice aromatic and floral fragrance blind buy safe

It’s pretty good all around fragrance

Like I mentioned in my Forbidden Fruit review, got a decant to test before deciding whether I should get a full bottle of Magnetiq and ultimately decided that I shouldn’t just because it smells very similar to one of my favourite designer frags which is YSL MYSLF EDP but twisted in a way that I don’t exactly prefer to the OG. Scent: As I’ve mentioned it smells like a fragrance inspired by MYSLF but with less of that bright citrusy opening that gives MYSLF its freshness. Very white floral forward and smells like fresh laundry out of the dryer. Dries down into this woody musky scent with the slightest touch of vanilla sweetness that’s also reminiscent of MYSLF EDP but with almost none of the bergamot that gives MYSLF its charm. Performance: Honestly, it’s rather weak on me. I get about 4-5 hours at MOST even with the heat on it with not exactly the best projection either as I can’t really smell it unless I stick my nose real close to my skin. Much to be desired especially with the impressive performance of other Aromatix flankers like Forbidden Fruit and Platine Blanc. Versatility: Strongest point of Magnetiq is definitely it’s crazy versatility (despite it’s weak performance so take that as you will). Literally usable in any situation and any season as it’s just a scent to help you smell clean and well groomed... that is if anyone can even smell it. Scent: 6/10 Performance: 3/10 Versatility: 10/10 Personal Score: 5/10 Once again let down by the TikTok influencer hype. Is it a decent scent? Sure. Just nothing too special to me and it smells like a weaker, lesser quality MYSLF EDP which I’m a big fan of. If you want to get a clean scent that can be used as a signature without forking out that designer money, then give Magnetiq a sample. It’s just not for me personally.

It was a disappointment for me. In my opinion, and according to my friends as well, the scent of the perfume is more reminiscent of a deodorant. I can rather imagine it being used in an office or at the gym. I wouldn’t call it youthful either. I also had problems with the bottle: the plastic part under the cap cracked overnight, even though it wasn’t dropped or anything like that. I noticed the same thing with a tester displayed in a store as well, so I probably ended up with a faulty piece. The other plastic parts also creak, which gives it quite a cheap feel, although the bottle itself and the box are nice. Overall, it’s a 6–7 out of 10 for me, but of course that’s a matter of taste.
