Sydney Rock Pool

I’m really enjoying discovering the fragrances of this brand, and Sydney Rock Pool is an underrated GEM. All lovers of the cuddlesome gamma nonalactone accord (present in Guerlain’s Terra Cotta, Olivine Atelier’s Amongst the Waves, and many others) that proffers the warm, milky wonderment of sun lotions, such as classic Coppertone, should be inundating this site with exclamations of adoration. Sydney Rock Pool is so good, I likely would have paid more for it, but let’s hope they don’t get greedy and raise their prices. Apart from affordability (comparatively, of course) it’s so refreshing to stumble upon a niche brand with a parfumier that knows their fixatives! I’ve found that many boutique-brand fragrances that are currently available fall apart in the dry-down stages. Whether ephemeral as a whole, or completely losing any semblance of their initial charm, I’ve recently been sorely disappointed with more than one hyped house (you may be able to ascertain the culprits by perusing my collection). However, I haven’t been disappointed in a single of Arquiste’s offerings, even if I don’t LOVE every one of them. This one really stands out though, proffering briny/umami accords, amber-warmed aquatics, flinty starkness, smooth woodiness, some of the dreamiest yellow florals, and lactonic creaminess, like bits of a few of my current & old favourites while still remaining in a class all its own. Superbly comforting and transportive, Sydney Rock Pool is ideal in colder weather, when we may be in close, warmed spaces with others, as it’s unobtrusive, and universally appealing, quietly sexy without dealing heavy blows of “Salaciousness!”. Nearly signature-worthy, really, it’s approachable enough for those who prefer subtlety in a fragrance, and unique enough to keep more risk-taking noses entertained for hours and hours. Fantastic!

God I love how this smells. It reminds me of a Hollister scent that clung to the one pair of pants I ever got there as a teen, that I didn't want to wash because I wanted to keep the intoxicating perfume they came with in the fabric. I have no idea if there are actually any similarities between the scents, but catching this on my sleeve makes me feel like I'm in my new pants in 10th grade geography class. Like my Hollister pants, this scent makes me feel cool but not really myself. It's intimate but something about it feels impersonal or aloof. It makes me feel very nostalgic for what I thought was fancy, effortless, and cool growing up in LA. It reminds me a plush, neutral toned living room of someone who's paid a designer a lot of money to make her home feel cozy. It smells like stepping out of your Mercedes G-Wagon in the Malibu Country Mart with a blowout and $300 jeans, and a Michael Stars t-shirt. I really think it's a fantastic fragrance. I LOVE the salt and mineral notes and that the coconut is prominent without the blend leaning sweet or gourmand. It reads slightly masculine to me, but in a playful, sporty, looks good in menswear button down way. I can see what others have meant about a "screamwood" problem, so it's not a safe blind buy, but I find that sharpness really enjoyable. On my skin the longevity is great. On clothes, it lasts forever. I am so absolutely in love with this scent but really don't know about buying a bottle, because it's not a fragrance that feels like it could be personal to me. Maybe a little more time with my tester will help me make up my mind.

A generous Fragrantican sent me a sample of this. I was initially skeptical, as I have a strong dislike for anything related to the ocean, and all fragrances I've tried with coconut notes have immediately turned to latex on my skin. I decided to give it a try anyway, because who says no to a free fragrance sample? The opening is fresh and salty, not too oceanic, with a nice hint of fresh, unsweetened coconut. I actually loved it, to my surprise. It wasn't Pina-Colada-sweet, which I think is the downfall of many coconut fragrances, and probably what rubberizes it on my skin. I went about my day, occasionally taking a whiff and seeing how it changed. Suddenly, I could have SWORN I was wearing Noir Exquis by L'Artisan Parfumeur with a smack of sea salt. The notes for these two fragrances are so different that I thought I was losing my mind. What about coconut, jasmine, and seaweed is remotely similar to coffee, maple, and chestnut?? Does anyone else smell the similarity or am I completely off my rocker? (Note: on my shirt the coconut stayed for the entire duration of the fragrance, but it disappeared on my skin, so maybe it's just my weird chemistry.) Regardless, this is a lovely fragrance! I just wish it stayed on my skin for longer than a few hours, especially at this price point. I'll stick with Noir Exquis for its better sillage and lasting power.

Fun in the Sun! Okay! So I got this in a 3 pack that I ordered in an online subscription.. The name, notes and even the bottle were intriguing to me.. At first sniff, I was immediately impressed.. How could I not be, this is the art of Rodrigo Flores-Roux.. I love the smell of this! Since I don’t have a bottle of this I can’t give a description for the presentation.. The main player in this juice is the coconut.. It comes off sweet in the opening and turns salty (almost sour) on my skin.. Nonetheless, it still smells amazing.. There is a bit of florals in the mid but not too heavy and I get this ambroxan feel as the sea salt stands out.. it lasts about 4 to 5 hours on my skin.. with great projection in the first 45 min.. This definitely leans a little more feminine on me but not in a bad way.. This is great for those hot days by the pool or beach.. The one knock I have on this is it’s price.. A 100 ML bottle for $195 seems a little steep in my opinion.. Its a great fragrance just a bit pricy.. If you get a sample of this and you like it.. I recommend u look at Batucada by L’artisan Parfumeur very similar.. Batucada is more green and leans more masculine.. And it’s very affordable.. Rating 9.5/10 If it was more affordable it would be a 10/10..

This is perfect for a vacation, the beach, the pool, or a "smells like you" scent plus something a little extra (like Glossier You). I love aquatics (just recently bought Yin Transformation) and coconuts, so when the store manager at Ministry of Scents in SF said it was his favorite, I took home a sample. Longevity is surprisingly long. Went through the whole sample on a girl's weekend, and received several compliments, which (of course), made me like it even more. There's something beautifully creamy-dreamy about this, like a luxury lotion, with the added benefit of ocean air saltiness, which transports you into vacation-mode even if you're at the office. This is a true unisex, and smelled amazing on the shopkeeper, my hubby and me. On the downside, it is definitely a little screechy when first sprayed, and does need a few minutes to settle. But once it does, the driftwood/sandalwood come alive and settle into something wonderfully comforting and soft.

I really like this one and feel like it holds its own compared to other acquatic marine frags from niche houses. The marine portion isn't strong or challenging. Minerals and light salt; no ambergris funk or seaweed (which I like) but still interesting. This also has no citrus whatsoever which is different from all others I've tried except for Penhaligon's Blasted Heath and Acqua Motu by comptior suds de pacific. The coconut here smells natural and unsweetened, and the skin accord gives a feeling of light, expensive sunscreen 🧴 Longevity is above average and projection is a little less than average. But overall, I think this can hang with Virgin Island Water, Erolfa, Millisime Imperial, Sel Marin and others that I like. But for 200 retail I think it's a bit overpriced because you have to use ten sprays to get acceptable performance imo. I'd only pay 100 to 125 for this juice. Scent 8/10 Longevity 7/10 Projection 4/10

This fragrance has so much potential to smell like some kind of sunscreen, like a jaded pool-goer in August--accustomed to some beachy vacation smells permeating the air, perhaps to the point of exhaustion. Sydney Rock Pool smells like a dip in a beautiful salty rock pool, but the creamy jasmine coconut is strong enough to leave you asking yourself just why do you travel the same routes again and again? Out of comfort, or because you keep missing something? This juice is straightforward. Rounded aquatic woody, with a creamy and realistic coconut note. But most importantly, this is mineralic, not just salty. That mineralic smell is what makes this addictive. I love it, even if I am not sure just how much I would wear this compared to my other options. I am absolutely in love with Flor y Canto by Arquiste and I think The Architect's Club is very well done, so this would make me an Arquiste fan so far...

Another amazing photorealistic aquatic that avoids going into cheap Davidoff or Light Blue territory by omitting any sort of citrus or bergamot, which I applaud! This is very close to JHAG Vanilla Vibes in terms of minerality and saltyness but unlike JHAG it’s not a cold ocean air perfume. It’s a hot sunny day, the sandalwood is present from the beginning, and from the ambertonic note you get the vibe of hot sand and possibly even a bonfire or a grill nearby. For whatever reason in cold weather i found this warmth kind of off putting, almost smelling kind of burnt but in a warmer climate it’s beautiful and balanced by the salty and airy notes. This is another perfect summer frag that i imagine would mix very well with sweat and just project fresh from the pool or the beach vibe.

FABULOUS. FREAKING. AMAZING. SCENT. This scent. OMG. A day at the beach wearing a high end lightly scented coconut sun spray, sitting on a giant drift wood log, taking in the salty aquatic air of the ocean, marine mineral notes, subtle amber with just a hint of jasmine. WOW this scent is such a VIVID experience of that. LOVE. It is a very well blended, clean, oceanic, lightly woody, mineral notes... gawd they are good, solar, creamy, tropical, eyes roll back, scent. Lasting power of this is exceptional! (It has similar mineral notes as in Tom Ford Oud Minérale but with coconut and hint of jasmine. This fragrance is somewhat like Oud Minérale meets a tiny hint of Soleil Blanc or Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche...if that helps.)

(sample only) Okay, I don't think this fragrance is special in terms of depth or the journey. But, it seems to aim to do one thing and it does it well. It aims for pure watery summer and delivers. It's driftwood personified. I don't really get sweetness at all but maybe since coconut just smells milky to me. Either way, only freshness and a calmly woody undertone to the aquatic floral. Projection and longevity is fine, not outstanding. 9.5/10 - the price is high for a scent that only, imo, works for summer / holidays - but it does perform pretty darn well for that scent profile. It really is up there.

A very interesting scent with a coconut note that doesn't come close to sunscreen. We're in a natural pool surrounded by fresh blooming summer florals. Salty wet hair on dry, browning shoulders. Sipping a refreshing drink with sand covered feet. But we're not on vacation. We live in this paradise. The soft, casual comfort of being just where you belong. Drying salty skin with a plush luxury towel. This seems to be blended really well. I can't pick out each note but I really love it as a whole. Arquiste scents are so transportive for me. I've yet to smell one I don't like.

This is my ultimate summer fragrance. It is smooth, salty, mineral, and a little floral. It smells like my fantasy of what I smell like after being at the beach all day. Not the actual acrid seaweed smell, but how I'd like to smell - salty skin, creamy sunscreen, and sun-baked sand. The scent lasts all day and I love it. At night I layer it with Cheirosa 62 by Sol de Janeiro for added sweetness. One time when I wore it, a coworker asked if I was wearing a men's cologne. So while some women may find it too masculine, I think it is perfect on me.

I think Arquiste is just my soul perfumer at this point...I swore The Architects Club was going to be my signature scent, but I absolutely adore this one too! A perfectly balanced, cool, metallic mineraly sea scent. It truly smells like cold rocks in the ocean. Also quite dry/woodier than expected but I actually think that’s what grounds it and makes it so unique for year round wear. Upgrading to a full size STAT!

Love love love it. Summery heaven, smells like the perfect day on the beach. The weather is warm and perfect, the water is nice, and you come home totally exhausted. Will definitely be buying a full bottle of this at some time. A little coconutty too, like suntan lotion. Tried it before I went to bed, woke up and could still smell it on me 9 hours later!

Rodrigo Flores-Roux is an absolute genius. This is by far the most realistic summer vacation scent I've ever smelled. This is being in a pool, by the ocean, with suntan lotion on and a Pina Colada in hand. Only issue, like most scents in this category, is longevity. For me, this lasts about 5 hours tops but is worth the price, every penny.

evokes my early 2000s miami summers spent in the pool or dave & busters. I almost find it to be indescribable as it summons a very specific memory of mine. it’s cold, sweet, melancholic. it’s the only woody scent I enjoy, the sunscreen has dissolved into your skin as a thin layer of sand sits atop it.

This is a gorgeous marine/aquatic/coastal scent that would smell amazing on a man as well as a woman. It's aquatic without having any overwhelming floral notes that are often off-putting to me and can be too overpowering. I will eventually repurchase this.

This is seaside Manchester starry night Sydney rock pool. Such a creative and whimsical composition. The amber here feels like a lightbulb and actually reads orange. Who could’ve thought sweet woody makes a great summer fragrance. 8/10

Very unique, and interesting in a good way. Not your typical boring summer scent. I love the mineral, coconut combo, it makes you stand out from the crowd. Solid performance too. Great for warmer climates. Super awesome overall.

Sometimes it’s sharp, sometimes it’s creamy. Love it when it’s creamy. Slightly sweet, soft, and creamy. Too bad it disappears within two hours but I’m thinking of getting the big bottle.

Stunning opening, disappointing dry down. I have a handful of Arquiste samples and generally they were all pretty interesting scents on paper, and Sydney Rock Pool was no exception, but it really needed skin to shine. The opening is this ethereal, metallic coconut scent that's so unlike anything I've tried so far. The coconut also has a white floral aspect to it, it greatly reminds me of Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc, although it's rounded out by a perfectly dosed metallic note that overall gives the scent a futuristic vibe to me. The initial blast does have an ever so slightly salty tinge, as well as a very well done driftwood accord, so the early opening does have a distinctly marine smell to it. The salt and driftwood aren't long lived, however, the metallic coconut is the main focus of SRP's opening to my nose. Unfortunately, as it begins drying down, a caramel-like amber smell starts coming through and it clashes with the fading metallic coconut, although it's not too persistent at first. I'm guessing this ambery smell comes from the listed Ambertonic note and I'm also not a big fan of it, it reminds me a lot of the smell of Amber Xtreme although considerably less sharp and sweeter. The dry down also develops a seaweedy note, so it in combination with the Ambertonic make the dry down very similar to Megamare's "dry down" (or the 23 hours after the first hour of the Orto Parisi) to my nose. I'm not a big fan of the dry down but thankfully this is nowhere near as strong as Megamare so it's tolerable. I wouldn't have minded if this was a bit more linear and the metallic coconut sticked around for the entirety of the fragrance's duration on skin as it was an extremely well done accord. Performance is really decent but it shouldn't come as a surprise given how this is a woods and amber forward profile. Projection is moderate with a dense to moderate sillage at first, then dying down to a lighter one. Longevity is a good 8 hours.

Sydney Rock Pool transports you to your favorite sun-drenched destination with your sunblock in tow. The coconut is prominent throughout, in the beginning it is backed up subtly by sea-salt and mineral accords. Seaweed peaks out here and there but it never makes one feel like they’re downwind from a kelp drying-rack. The driftwood makes its appearance about 15 minutes in and gives the composition a slightly “smoky” feel without coming off as abrasive. There’s something bordering on animalic in here, that must be the “skin” accord. It’s not repulsive but it definitely caught me off-guard the first time I wore it. This fragrance isn’t particularly long-lasting on my skin. I get about 5-6 hours and it sits a couple inches away from my skin during that period. The sillage is moderate if one applies liberally. Overall I’d say it’s unique in the sense that I never thought sunblock could be combined with something seemingly animalic and remain pleasing to the nose. I’ll give credit where credit is due. I do keep smelling myself whenever I wear Sydney Rock Pool, it certainly can be addictive.

Syndney Rock Pool is a mix of a beach scent and a gourmand, with a thick ambery base. The beach scent is the salt, minerals, white flowers and coconut , but I’m not sure what alchemy created the gourmand aspect. it’s definitely there though, it reminds me of eating pastries at the beach. I’m surprised there isn’t vanilla in this. Maybe it’s the sandalwood. Sydney Rock Pool wears fairly close to skin and lasts about 3-4 hours. I like it, I find it very pleasant, but I wish it lasted longer and projected more. This is a beach scent with some sophistication, a bit more complex than the typical suntan lotion fragrance. It’s soft and pretty and I think leans a bit feminine but could be worn by anyone. This is a beach scent you could wear at any time of year.

You know how your skin stays warm after being in the sun all day? This fragrance is that feeling, captured in a bottle. Smooth creamy coconut, like a nice sunscreen from a pricey skincare brand, with a spray of salt water drying in the hot sun. Driftwood and frangipani ride along a rare breeze. If there is seaweed, it is still wet and salty in the water, no funk detected. I could see this being a really fun vacation wear, if a little on the nose. However, for me this is basically a skin scent that smells like a body product, so it makes it hard to seem worth the money. For someone else who loves warm skin scents and wants a special one for hot weather, this could be a great choice.

I have to start by saying this is a gorgeous, beautifully blended scent. I'm just not sure if it's the right fit for me. It smells like a day at the beach, but not the one you picture in your head filled with sunscreen and pina coladas. This is the REAL scent of the beach, opening with salty minerals and a touch of funk before the dry sandalwood comes in and finishing with the smell of clean skin with a touch of coconut. I understand why some say it leans masculine, but I feel it is truly unisex. I do love the way it smells, I'm just not sure if I want to smell like it. If you're a fan of woody, unisex scents and want something that captures summer, I'd highly recommend it.

This scent reminds me of the movie "The Party" from 1968. The movie is very mid-60's mod, with fancy clothes, dancing, and champagne by the poolside. Glitter. Diamonds. Updo's. Bowties. Both outdoor and indoor greenery. Head to toe classy ensembles. This makes my stomach turn into a beautiful knot when sprayed more than once or twice because its incredibly potent before it settles, but it shines for the right person and occasion. Sydney Rock is prestigious, artsy, and not for everyone. Its impressionable (whether good or bad) and I can't say I've ever smelled a fragrance that smells like it.

Coconut sun skin at first and then straight into a pile of the driest kindling wood left out in the Australian outback, smells so intense of dry wood that I imagine a ray of sun catching it on fire. Makes me think of palo santo, sandalwood and desert. I love it and it’s going to be my summer staple but I can see how the woody notes would be too intense for some people. I don’t pick up much of the mineral/ sea notes sadly but I love how androgynous this scent is, I think it would be heaven on a man.

When I first sprayed this on my wrist, I literally gagged-- but not to worry, it settled within a couple minutes. I mostly get coconut from this scent, though it's not a sweet or artificial coconut, which I really like. I definitely also get the "sun-warmed skin" vibe, though I wouldn't have picked up on that if I hadn't known it was there. This smells like really expensive organic sunscreen-- not in a bad way, but it's definitely a specific mood.

Oh it's really really nice. I'm inclined to list as a love but I don't know if it's for me. On the drydown especially it becomes quite masculine, and the synthetic amber becomes very prominent. But oh the mineral notes! It's one of those fragrances that smells like fresh air. Honestly, the top and mid last a good long while. I can't keep track, but several many hours.

I like this! The sharp mineral tang at the top puts me in a mood - once that's dissipated, its a subtle salty skin scent with a hint of sweetness from the coconut & florals. Layer this with a little Demeter Tomato Leaf and that is the smell of a perfect summer day.

The main notes are coconut oil and dry sandalwood, with some salt thrown in – a nice balance between sharp and soft. It's fresh, pleasant, and would be ideal for hot or warm weather when you need something to revive your senses.

Salty, citrusy, & sharp. I'm sampling in chilly January and the notes are completely wrong for the season, so I'll try it again when it's hot out.

I love it but is a skin scent and i lost it after hald an hour... and I'm using now about 8ml each time... on me it's disappearing very fast.

this is basically more masculine version of arizona bloom ☺️ really good but i prefer arizona bloom because of its clean airy quality

Smells like Replica Beach Walk, no?

Had high hopes for this one, given both the notes listed and that I’m a sucker for a good beachy/poolside vibe fragrance. Ordered three samples by this brand, with the others being flor y canto, and tropical. This was my least favorite though all are quite different from each other. I got Mair (forget who makes it) also as a sample and would say I prefer that much more to this, as it was a bit more fresh aquatic and didn’t have the cologne vibes I got from SRP. Looking at the notes again I got no frangipani or jasmine what so ever, nor did I get any coconut. Skin, mineral notes, sea salt, and maybe a bit of seaweed were present. Not to say it wasn’t sweet, cause it was, but on my skin it smelled like I was trying on mid range mens cologne, something reminiscent of Carolina H mens cologne an old bf used to wear, or colognes I’ve smelled in department stores from Chanel or Armani, many of which just end up smelling similar and generic. I liked flor y nano more than this, though that’s a floral perfume but only tried it twice, and didn’t find that to be as appealing as other floral perfumes with similar notes (then I dropped the sample and it broke). Tropical was my favorite, although I only tried it once so far, it was memorable as I had ordered dozens of samples the past couple months and enjoyed its brightness and also feel like it could be worn year round as it isn’t too light and its mixed well. The next one I plan to try by this brand is indigo smoke and the jcrew one I think geared towards men w whiskey and vanilla, and am also going to buy their “dog” scented candle as it looks interesting and I love a good candle. I know fragrances just like food are subjective. What one might find to be the best spot in town for a meal, others may feel the place is anything but, just like movies and music as well. This is also the case where I’ve seen people loving how a perfume smelled on the paper strip, or perhaps even that moment in the store, but once they got home they hated it, or it smelled great on a coworker and didn’t work for them. It annoys me though when I see notes I love and it seems like a perfect match but smells nothing like its description and a disappointment. This wasn’t terrible but not at all a coconut tropical floral aquatic. To me it smells like it’s the early summer in New England, where the temperatures have just barely began to hit 80 degrees, overcast, and a man who wore a but too much cologne is trying to take a swim in the ocean but the water is too cold so he heads to the pool instead, and you can still smell his cologne lingering nearby. It is worth mentioning while this doesn’t impact my feelings on the fragrance itself but the brand, I like that they offer a travel size for around $40, a smaller bottle at 30 ml for $105 for many of their scents, and the larger size which I think is 100 ml for $225 for most. Many perfumes are so expensive these days, I’m flabbergasted when I see department store perfumes at the price of what I could pay for a niche brand, and I always prefer variety in terms of sizes when it comes to perfume, as it stinks when they are only offered in one large bottle and no other options, even if you love the perfume, you may not in a couple years, so carrying different sizes (and price points), is something I wish more niche brands would do.

I ordered this almost three years ago as a sample. I used to wear it occasionally but forgot about it. I decided to wear it today, expecting a salty, marine-heavy scent. Right after spraying it, I was hit with a rich sweet and milky smell: coconut. In my opinion, the coconut here is to the actual taste and smell of real coconut as artificial watermelon flavor is to watermelon. However, it’s done well and smells pleasant to me. This fragrance is a bit too feminine for me upon the initial spray but dries down into a subtle skin scent. I agree with others that this is reminiscent to a chill beach day somewhere quiet. As an NC native, it made me think of the Outer Banks and the feeling of getting out of the shower and putting on fresh clothes after a long day at the beach. TLDR; slightly feminine, with a pleasant reinterpretation of coconut.

O.M.G. @tessture, I'm so grateful for your review - Screamwood is the perfect name for that note! Keep screaming about it! I'm always saying some fragrance or other has an isopropanol edge while my husband remains blissfully immune to it 😩 Sometimes it's mild and the rest of the fragrance allows me to overlook it, like in our newest mainstream fav, AdG Absolu, but here in Sydney Rock Pool, the mineral notes only enhance that screaming bleeding edginess. Besides that, I like the coconut and ocean air thing it has going on. The coconut is more salty than sweet, eschewing pineapple completely, which to me means it'd feel appropriate to wear year-round. Reminds me of Salt Air from Skylar, which accomplishes the same vibe with many of the same notes, without the dang Screamwood.

I recently purchased a sample of this fragrance. Upon first spray, I was impressed by the pleasant smell. An hour or so later my wife had to press her nose into my skin to smell it on me. We actually did a comparison where she sprayed CK2 on my neck, one spray. The CK2 one spray greatly outlasted the 3 sprays of Sydney Rock Pool. For around $200, I expect a fragrance to last. Amongst Waves, Le Joker, Ocean Water have so much more longevity for less money. Sydney Rock Pool actually dissipated quicker than Pacific Rock Moss. It’s a shame that it has performance issues because it smells wonderful in the initial spraying.

This perfume is pleasant, but it wasn't singular enough for me to purchase a full bottle. Honestly, I believe that this scent is a mix of Peau, which I own, and Vacation (I own the SPF spray), which is clever of Arquiste. The coconut is pronounced in the opening, and then I get wafts of salty skin. It's beachy, but in a warm, cozy way. I agree with a previous reviewer that stated they get Jo Malone's Wood Sage and Sea Salt vibes from this, as it's a spot on comparison. I think it's also close to Bvlgari Pour Homme, Fresh, Clean, Floral, Musky. I'd say it's unisex.

Dried coconut and salt, the scent of sun-bleached shells. Scent of sand and the sun. Definitively marine but in a dry way. Sandalwood is too sharp for my nose, I enjoyed wearing this on the actual beach but couldn’t see this as a consistent scent due to the screaming woods in here. If that doesn’t bother you you might like this. It is a unique and realistic beach scent that reminds me of drying off in the sun after a swim, sunscreen residue, and sand stuck to your legs. Be careful of that screamwood though lol.

This perfume is a dilemma for me: I absolutely love the cool beachy mineral smell of the drydown, but can’t stand the sweet, fruity, tropical opening. I’m not sure where it even comes from - I don’t see any notes that would contribute to a slightly sickening sweetness? Narcissus maybe? I can’t decide if it’s worth it to suffer through those sweet top notes to get to the wonderful cool, fresh, sandy, mineral scent underneath.

Definitely the most unique summer frag in my collection. A gorgeous skin scent that reminds of a day at the beach, but not a beautiful Mediterranean beach, more of a coastal Carolina beach, making it a very sentimental fragrance for me. Is it sexy? Hell no. But is it a head-turner? Absolutely. Not sure if I’ll get a full bottle. This 7.5 ml sample will probably last me through this summer.

I really detest marine scents (Light Blue is my idea of a nightmare), but once the first 5 minutes of this dissipate, it becomes more unique and pleasant. While I like it, I don’t LOVE it. I wish it had a hint of sweetness or cream to lift it from the straightforward marine fougere vibe. I layer it with the tiniest bit of Dirty Mango to provide a little pep.

Mineral and briny salty thing, masculine leaning to me. There’s something going on that’s a little bit headache inducing, and I do not think that this is a safe blind buy.

It's alright — not too masculine or feminine but if I was rich, I'd buy this as a room spray. Nice, clean smell
