I love this brand. Love their sunscreen, with its divine scent and good sun protection. Their dedication to art direction, branding and their overall aesthetic is phenomenal. So of course when I found out they turned the delicious scent of their sunscreen into an EDT, of course I snapped it up. And of course I fell in love with it. It's delicious, one of the best beachy, sunny, "sunscreen" fragrances on the market, and at a decent price. I can pick up pretty much all the notes listed here. There's that slight hint of lycra swimsuit, chlorine and pool toy at the base, though the warm and sunny fruity notes of coconut, banana and pineapple never fully disappear. It doesn't read as salty to my nose, but that's fine as the creaminess of "Vacation" is just so delightful on my skin and clothes. Layer it with the actual sunscreen for best results. On that note, it's also a fabulous layering scent–it pairs well with other beachy perfumes like Maison Margiela Replica "Beach Walk," or Guerlain "Terracotta." The only downside is that since it's an EDT, it's not as powerful and long lasting as I wish it was. It's decent, but I'm greedy. However, this less offensive sillage means this could be good for work environments in warmer climates, like my SoCal turf where sunburn is an almost year-round hazard. This would also make a great date night fragrance, like strolling the Manhattan Beach strand or the Santa Monica Pier after sundown. Arquiste and Vacation need to team up again and make an EDP version of this, as I would love to have this last and project even longer. Maybe they could make perfumes out of their other candle scents, such as High Ceiling Resort Lobby?

I was at Ulta one day and decided to pick this up on a whim. I couldn't wait to get home to try it, so I sprayed some on myself in my car, and it was love at first sniff. This is a beautifully soft, luxuriously nostalgic fragrance that smells like sunscreen and trips to the beach. When sprayed, I totally feel like I'm in a chilly hotel room, slathering sunscreen on my body, getting ready to head out into the heat to go soak in the sea. It's so refreshing. Not only is it refreshing, there's something a little dirty about this as well. Could be the sea salt. Regardless, it's an alluring scent. Now, it doesn't last too terribly long, which at first I thought was a bummer. But I noticed that after it has completely settled, my natural scent is enhanced. Magical if you ask me. I have, however, been playing around by layering this with patchouli oil. I adore patchouli so much and love adding it to any fragrance I'm wearing. Needless to say, it's a killer combination. It lasts longer, projects better, and enhances that dirty aspect of the fragrance that I mentioned earlier. I've fallen in love with this fragrance so much that it has become my signature. It's sunshine in a bottle. P.S. If you're looking for a good patchouli oil, look into Evan Healy's oil. Best patchouli I've ever purchased; and don't let the small size fool you because they last forever. I've had my bottle for over a year, wear it daily, and it's only halfway empty.

The MOMENT I smelt this, I was INSTANTLY transferred back in time to the joyous pool days a child. The sun is beaming, the concrete is frying my feet, the splashes of pool water are hitting my legs, and I’m on the prowl for the perfect beach chair to post up on. My mom orders a pina colada in all her glamour, while I dive into the refreshing pool water with my plastic floaties on and little do I know, this is the best my life will ever be. Nothing but pure joy. It is impossible not to smile while wearing this. It’s nostalgia in a bottle, and the bottle itself mimics this as well. It’s so glamorous and looks gorgeous sitting on my vanity. Most sunscreen fragrances feel gimmicky, but Vacation just feels natural. This is the sunscreen fragrance of all sunscreen fragrances. There is no need for another with Vacation. It’s an EDT so it’s light but for some reason I don’t mind it. This is not an olfactory experience meant to last into the night. It’s meant to be enjoyed in the moment, just like those precious moments as a kid sunbathing poolside. This is wonderful layered as well - try it with Ouai St. Barts or Ellis Brooklyn Banana Milkshake - you’ll get hounded with compliments. Easily a 10/10

For a while I was going crazy looking and sampling different beachy type scents. Never really found exactly what I was looking for. Some were maybe too much of one note like floral or coconut. Finally I sampled this one. I finally found my holy grail 🏆. I was reluctant sampling because it was hyped up for a while and didn't want to be bothered. I found Vacation a perfect balance for me, not too much of one note and blended well. I do own Tom Fords Eau De Soleil Blanc which I like and have been using for a while. It is more citrusy in the opening and leans more unisex. As for Vacation, I like this even more. It's awesome. So let me get some of the negatives out of the way first. The longevity sucks big time(about four hours). The price, not so great for the small 30ml bottle. Now for the positives. The scent is very transportive. It takes me back to the days by the pool lathering on some sunscreen and lounging on some pvc inflatables in the pool and smelling all that chlorine 💦. I bought myself a bottle and it's almost gone already respraying a lot. I truly love the scent but I am not buying another bottle. I'll enjoy it for as long as this one lasts. 🩴🌴 😁

I fear I am obsessed with this to an unhealthy degree. I first came across this scent through a little bottle of the Vacation sunscreen (of course I fell for the retro marketing) and when I tell you it smells exactly like you think it would I mean it. Creamy coconut, banana, a hint of chlorine, and plastic pool toys sitting on beach grass. Now I have a huge bottle of the sunscreen and the perfume and I wear both daily; I’m actually really grateful for this scent because it smells so good that I never forget to wear sunscreen (and I live on the Gulf so that’s definitely for the best). The bottle and packaging are also so cute and I love the brand’s commitment to their aesthetic. This perfume is not for everyone, but if you’re the kind of person who dreams about relaxing pool-side and drinking a pina colada next to your extravagant vaporwave-coded Miami home while your ethically-questionable rich and yacht owning husband works so you can afford extremely tacky designer clothing; it’s for you.

YES this stuff is good. Like wearing creamy sunscreen and eating a banana popsicle from a pool floatie. Typically I would shy away from a perfume described at all as "plastic-y" or synthetic, but this is so authentic that it just works. I'm generally a fan of this scent genre, I already own Bronze Goddess and Eau de Soleil Blanc, and would say this leans more in the Soleil Blanc direction. That one is quite a bit more floral, while Vacation leans more in the fruity and aquatic direction. I think one could justify having both, if nothing else for how novel this is. The banana note reminds me a bit of Vanille Banane Comptoir Sud Pacifique, more than I am reminded of their coconut scents. Longevity is only a few hours and while it's certainly not heavy, I'm not frustrated by how light it is either. Surprisingly not headache inducing with that intentionally synthetic quality. And doesn't smell like a Tommy Bahama candle! The website is so fun and is what pushed me to try it.

vacation is THE archetypal vintage summer afternoon fragrance. it’s smells exactly like you’ve just stepped out of a florida motel pool in 1986, wrapped in a sun-warmed striped towel, pool float at your side, sunscreen still clinging to your skin. i would challenge people to push past their initial negative perceptions of that bright, sweet plastic note — i felt the same, and ended up very much enjoying it after just a few more tries. it really rounds the scent profile out. vacation is such a playful & fun feminine fragrance that's just weird enough. the banana & coconut milk notes are the most prominent in this sunny, aquatic, slightly musky, a bit plasticky, super creamy, and oh-so-sweet perfume. contrary to many comments, i've found that the silage & lasting power are pretty decent. it's inoffensive enough that it's hard to find anyone who truly hates it. if you're into all that, give her a go this summer! 🥥🌺

I ordered this fragrance after purchasing the sunscreen at Ulta. I am partial to summery/coconut scents so I was pretty sure I would enjoy this. The opening is heavy on fruit, the banana especially comes through for me. I am NOT a banana fan and found it *almost* off putting, but with the pineapple and coconut, it mellows out quickly and smells like a piña colada. Once it dries down, there is a much more down to earth, coconut-esque lingering scent in which I can smell the salty sea air and and the smallest hint of stretched Lycra. To the average person I doubt they would find much nuance in this, but if you’re someone who really enjoys the feeling and smells of summer, you may find this to be a perfect option (at a decent price point - especially since it’s at Ulta now). I, personally, will be wearing this to the pool, beach, and anytime the kiddie pool is broken out.

This is of my favorite scents of all time. It reminds me of going to the beach when I was a kid. The smell of Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil is one of my favorite scents in the world. This perfume captures going to the beach, dare I say in the 1980s? The most prominent notes are the banana, coconut, and pineapple and there is a sunscreen note that I don't super love but it's not overpowering. I don't think it lasts long enough on my skin but it makes me smile. It takes me right back to those carefree beach days with my family when I was young. Also I truly love the marketing of the company itself. They really do want to take you back to the 1980s and they do a great job at it. I've tried to find other comparable scents that take me back to the beach but this is the only one that truly does that.

Slammed me in the face with memories of laying out by the pool all summer long in the 80. All those notes are there minus the cigarette, magazine and beer and teenage hormones. It hit me first with that overall pool scene scent. Then it goes straight to the plastic, yet it smells good to me. It dries down to the fruitier notes. I dig it. A lot. It also seems to smell the best after a hot shower, so I expect going into the hotter days it will be perfect. It plays well with some other stuff I wear; a shea butter body butter from Sephora, my Rio Deo Cheroisa 62 deoderant, and a coconut body & it will be nice to have a Summer scent that actually smells like an American Summer I look forward to wearing this summer.

Upon first spray you get a blast of neroli and coconut sunscreen, but as it tries down the plasticky swimsuit pool toy notes develop and come to the forefront of the scent. This is what sets it apart from TF Eau de Soleil Blanc. It’s also much softer and a bit sweeter without any of the TF spiciness. The pool toy dry down reminds me a bit of the latex note in BR540, which is one of my favorite parts of that scent. To me, this is the sunscreen scent that most vividly and accurately paints the scene of a SoCal pool in august. That being said, I’m actually excited to wear it in the wintertime, which I don’t tend to do with other scents of this genre. I wonder what’s making me feel this way?

I’m in love. This takes me back to being a young child at the community pool - you smell coconutty sunscreen, banana laffy taffy, ozonic skin, plasticky Lycra. There is a floral/fruity accord behind it all. On me it lasts approximately 4-5 hours and projects mildly. I’m very sensitive to scent - I may love a perfume, but after an hour or two it will start to give me nausea or a headache. I don’t feel that way with this one, I can wear it all day. I don’t usually have a signature scent that I wear daily, but I think this will be my true signature scent this summer. PSA - I layered it with bum bum cream and the sol de janiero perfume today and it was divine! Perfect for summer.

You know the scene in Ratatouille when the food critic takes a bite of his meal and transports back to his childhood home with his mom cooking. That was this for me. I bought this blind due to excellent advertising and upon my first spray I was instantly 12 yrs old sitting in the back of my mom's car and headed home from a day at the beach. It smells like my mom on a summer day. Sunscreen, salt, wet towels or bathingsuits and lightly floral, like faded perfume. I teared up 100%. I really like it and my husband loved it. I imagine it'll be good for beach/pool days and hanging outside or after a day at the beach headed to an outdoor dinner with friends or a bonfire. Loves it.

To me this is the best, most realistic, and most interesting sunscreen frag. Warm, gorgeous coconut, pineapple, and a little banana with that classic vintage sunscreen smell that's so nostalgic for so many people. Personally I don't get much of the plastic note except for maybe in the opening, but it's definitely got some aquatic/pool vibes. The dry down is what really sold me on this though, just a warm, fruity. lotiony coconut skin scent that smells so good on my chemistry. It's perfect in a heat wave when more traditional perfumes can be too much. You could pass as someone who is just wearing their sunscreen and smells amazing wearing this.

woo! finally a fragrance where the "synthetic" notes are intentional - and smell good! love this scent cause it tells a story and evokes a specific moment, in a wearable way. picture you, sunbathing in your favorite nostalgic coconut-scented sunscreen, the salt of your skin mingling with lotion and your lycra swimsuit. someone splashes you with pool water. how refreshing! you jump in, grab your nearest plastic pool toy, and float leisurely on with pina colada in hand. it's all in there. just delightful. i think the plastic notes won't be for everyone, but as someone who loves smelling like i was just at the beach/pool, i think it's a hit.

Are you an "80s kid", or do you wish you were? This one has your back! I picked this one up at my local Ulta because of a sale/ extra points convergence, and it triggered me to finally go for it, even though I have other beach/ sunscreen/ solar/ tropical perfumes. It definitely takes me back to the summer of the 80s... a Miami Vice type of feeling. If you enjoy perfumes like Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Mugler Alien Goddess, EL Bronze Goddess, Mancera Holidays, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Bobbi Brown Beach, and MMM Beach Walk, you will definitely vibe with this one. I'm wearing mine with B&BW "Copper Coconut Sands" lotion for that extra longevity.

One word: Obsessed. I felt like I wasn't just getting a scent with this but a whole fantasy lifestyle. The packaging is absolutely perfect, the font, the bottle shape, the sticker. The bottle is perfect blend of high-end 80s designer and 90s discount perfumery. Obviously this is a very summer-y scent. Fun to wear in the mornings but even more fun to wear at night to give the illusion you've spent the whole day at the beach or by the pool. I bought one bottle and after I received it immediately bought a second because (sure enough) it sold out shortly after that. Already looking forward to spring so I can start wearing it again.

I sampled this fragrance 3 separate times before buying and was obsessed. I was 19 maybe so spending $60 on a fragrance was a splurge but I pulled the trigger. This replicates perfectly the feeling and smell of spending the entire day at the beach or pool, drenched in sunscreen and your bathing suit is still on under a big t shirt as you lay on the porch, exhausted from the sun. It smells like sunscreen, and bathing suit material spot on in my opinion. I love to wear this in the summer to get that playful beachy feeling- without having to deal with the sand in the hair and grime from playing in the water all day long.

I have worn this perfume since I first saw it working at Urban Outfitters, years ago... I read the notes, perplexed, one spray later and I was hooked for life. This perfume smells like SUMMER, PERIOD. It's a memory, anyone's memory, in a bottle. No matter what time of year it is, it's beautiful, refreshing, clean, sun-kissed (no joke), moisturized, and wrapped in a beach towel. I wear this almost every day. Beautiful sillage, I do wish it would last longer, but I find it dries down perfectly by the time the sun goes down and my day is wrapped up. The summer of my day is over until the next spray tomorrow.

This is summer in a bottle. I don't agree with reviews that call this a floral bomb, because there is a strong 'pool floaty' and/or 'swimsuit lycra' smell that mellows through the wear. Sunscreen, banana, and coconut last through the drydown once the pineapple and citrus notes fade. I didn't want to love this because it was so hyped (good job to their marketing team), but holy cow I just love it. Perfect for the days of spring where I'm trying to hurry summer on its way, and not too heavy to wear in the dog days either.

I love it. It’s the scent of your body after sitting at the pool for hours. If you hate sunscreen, banana tanning oil, Lycra, and pool toys, find another fragrance. This smells like a hot summer day with my beautiful family, and for that reason I will always be a fan. Smells GREAT with sweat, which is the hallmark of a good summer fragrance. I get a lot of petitgrain, too, which I love. Personally I prefer this to Sydney Rock Pool, which I find to be more aquatic/masculine/cologne-y, though they are adjacent.

I absolutely love the scent of vacation sunscreen and now this matching EDT. What I don’t love is that the scent doesn’t last very long at all unless you layer it with the sunscreen. When I spray this on, I want to smell it all day as it brings back great memories of sunshine and being carefree. As someone who lives in an area with harsh winters, this is a need in the cold dark months. I’m trying to find something similar to this scent but with better lasting power, so far no luck.

Looking for a tropical sunscreen frag? This is it. Opens up with a blast of banana coconut. Sweet, juicy, and fun. Mellows out to a more unisex sunscreen/banana boat vibe, but the Lycra and musk notes are what makes this one shine. This is not a mature floral summertime scent like Guerlain Terracotta and it's not as complex as TF Soleil Blanc, but it's evokes carefree nostalgia better than any summer scent I've tried. Only complaint is that I wish it lasted longer.

I love this scent. It reminds me of being a kid, my mom slathering herself in useless SPF 2 Coppertone while laying out on the patio by a baby pool drinking Tab and yelling at me to quit horsing around on the patio furniture circa 1989. I don't own anything like this. The creamy banana gourmand that gives way to the pool toy/80s bathing suit smell is divine. I didn't think I would ever want to smell like that, but alas, here we are. It's just a fun summer scent.

Someone below mentioned this fragrance was not niche, but fragrance was in fact developed by a niche perfume house, Arquiste. I personally enjoy this fragrance. It reminds me of laying on a lounge chair, drinking a pina colada, lathered up with sunscreen after jumping in the pool with a pool floatie sitting not too far from my feet. It’s definitely good for evoking memories or doing something outside in the summer. Maybe not so great for everyday wear.

Saw this blow up on TikTok and had to have it. On me this is the perfect summer skin scent. I definitely get tropical fruits in the opening. But the dry down is literally like you’ve worn sunscreen on the beach all day, swam in the ocean, and sweat under the sun. It’s salty, a bit milky/sweet, with a hint of musk. This is definitely going to be to a summer staple for me. I think it will layer beautifully with a lot of my other summer scents too!

a sweaty 80s beach ball sunscreen coconut tanning oil dream. surprisingly wearable, big notes (banana, coconut) don't last very long. dries down after an hour or so to a softer plastic doll/sunscreen. smells best in the sun with actual sunscreen on, best if you're sweating too. it reminds me of being a kid and getting Coppertone slathered on my face under an umbrella. blowing up a beach ball. weirdly nostalgic. i wore it all summer.

As others have said, this is the perfect summer scent. It has a sunscreen vibe (obviously), but it's not your typical drugstore sunscreen. This is the most realistic banana scent I've ever seen; not a green banana, but a somewhat overripe banana. The coconut is milky and sweet. Just lovely and it reminds me of childhood vacations to Aruba. Very lightweight, and despite being a "sunscreen" scent it's luxurious.

The first spray teleported me to my childhood of above ground inflatable pools. It smells exactly like a good day of swimming, plastic notes come through, sunscreen present on yourself and others, and you can smell the sun shining. Scent fades quickly and it doesn't project much. It's affordable but you're gonna have to think about it for a while before purchasing or wait for a sale. Love it!

It’s 1983...I’m 10 and hanging out at my apartment swimming pool. I need 50 spf sunscreen, but you need a prescription for it. Instead, I’m wearing Banana Boat and slowly turning porky pig pink. I’ve got a beach ball and a brand new stretchy swimsuit. The adults are drinking pina coladas as the chlorinated water pickles my fingers. This smell takes me right to that memory. Love it.

I love this scent. It smells like I absolutely baked myself on a blindingly bright Atlantic beach in July, and I have ocean salt crispy hair and crunchy sand all over me, stuck to sunscreen slathered on my arms. Then going back to the pool to cool off and into my freezing air conditioned condo rental where I hang my towel on the balcony and fall asleep watching real housewives.

I have the Vacation Classic Whip sunscreen and this smells just like it. It's heavy on the white florals (which lends itself to the '80s vibes it has) but definitely still recognizable as a thick lotiony coconut sunscreen scent. I already have their sunscreen so this doesn't have a ton of appeal to me but if you wanted to amplify the scent of it this would be what you want.

Its a sunscreen scent all right, and it nails the overall smell perfectly. This does not have the same problems as the Target perfume that smells like sunscreen. The scent actually lasts while not being too overpowering. At the same time I do wonder if it wouldn't be more effective to just buy actual sunscreen and get the scent and the skin protection benefits.

The second best sunscreen fragrance, after actual sunscreen. It loses a bit of the pool toy/banana from the sunscreen lotion and instead amps up the musk. I get compliments any time I wear this because everyone loves the smell of sunscreen: the greatest smell in the world. Where to wear: any and all attempts to bring a beach state of mind to the humdrum of life

I love this. Very nostalgic. Reminds me of going to the pool as a kid, being slathered in sunscreen and swimming in the chlorinated water. It’s the smell you get after you return home and throw on shorts to play outside the remainder of the day. Smells like sun, sunscreen, salt and water. It’s beautifully comforting. Just wish it lasted longer.

I am a sexy baby walking out of the pool locker room in 1988. Every inch of my body is slathered in tanning oil. My hair is fried from bleach and perm lotion, and I'm about to fry it some more in the chlorine. Nothing in the world has ever made me sad; there is only summer, beach and pool. My daily wear scent from May to September.

The banana note is very prominent in this fragrance and I like that. It’s not a note I’m used to smelling in fragrances. This is definitely a beach/pool scent. This smells more like alien goddess than soleil blanc but also like a combo of the two. I would say this is alien goddess but with a prominent banana note & more aquatic.

My absolute favorite summer fragrance! It captures summer perfectly and takes me right back to my summer weekends as a kid floating in the pool. If you don't like coconut you will not like this. I wish it's longevity and sillage were better, but overall, if you're looking for a nostalgic summer fragrance this is it.

The Panavision film marketing material reeled me in, the realistic sunscreen scent kept me interested. I'm a man and I enjoy wearing this from time to time. When I wear it I like to pretend that I'm wearing Creed Virgin Island Water, even though I have never smelled Virgin Island Water and never will.

Smells like 1980's sunscreen with a slight banana pudding and a lovely expensive perfume. Place yourself at an 80's Channel counter during the holidays. It's got so many memories attached and smells very expensive. I'm wearing it for the first time and have already gotten 2 compliments in an hour.

It's incredibly realistic, I adore the plastic note because it really does feel like you're in a floaty, in the pool, freshly sunscreened and about to play mermaids with your friends. It's crazy I feel like the guy ina ratatouille, this is a summer flashback in a bottle.

I get this huge hit of banana in the opening, which was unexpected, but very welcome, since its combined with this delicious, salty, creamy sunscreen and coconut. There's even a whiff of vanilla? This is a really nice fragrance, I wish the performance was better.

adding to my previous review now that i’ve been wearing it regularly for a few weeks: the longevity is *crazy* for an edt. maybe it’s just my skin chemistry, but when i put it on after work at around 10 pm, i could still smell it when i woke up the next morning

To me, the most prominent note is the pineapple with a little swimsuit lycra. Smells like straight up sunscreen which is exactly what I was after, for the nostalgia. Good sillage but the scent only lasts about 2 hours on me. For the price point, it's worth it.

Vacation is very true to its name. Sunscreen, banana, coconut. I don't get any plastic notes on my skin, but I can see how that can be off-putting to some people. Much better in my opinion than Beach Walk or Soleil Blanc, but it's in that same family. 9/10

I love this. As far as summer stuff-- I don't like to swim, I despise sweating, I loathe being in the sun. This fragrance smells like the things I'm supposed to want to do in the summer, but am too much of an indoor cat to actually go do.

I *only* wear this when I'm on vacation because it conjures up memories of long summers spent at the pool, down to the smell of wet lycra bathing suit and coconut tanning oil. It's absolutely gorgeous and light, like lingering memories.

I keep wanting to love a fragrance with coconut, or sunscreen, that smells like the beach, and suntan lotion. However, every time I smell it, all I think is how cheap it smells. Vacation by Vacation reaffirms that stance.

Best summer scent ever. Smells exactly like SunBum sunscreen in the best way possible. This really warms up on your skin throughout the day and settles down to a really nice pineapple scent. Can't recommend enough.

It's good, but slightly underwhelming. I wanted it to have a more banana-y coconut scent to it. Instead, it's very musky on me. I layer it with cheaper coconut scents to build what I wish it would smell like on me.
