Babel Bourbon

I originally wanted to purchase Persepolis but I had a hard time finding it. This scent will surprise you! I expected it to be dark and boozy but I find it oriental and mysterious. The Jasmine and Cedarwood are the star. I really don't smell anything that would come across as Bourbon. This is an extremely long lasting fragrance on my skin. The atomizer is excellent. This will work well in the fall and winter. This would work well for men or women over 30. It smells good on me but I think it would work equally as well on women. The warmth of this fragrance is intoxicating!

This follows the same philosophy as French Lover; Wet, dry, earthy, mossy, green, but a little floral. Simply gorgeous, refined, unapologetic, and soothing. If this would have had a touch of smoke, I would not hesitate in owning it. As it stands it's a love, but I do not need a bottle of it, as I'm being more selective with my purchases these days. With that being said, this is one of the finest vetiver scents I've tried in a long time. Unfortunately, the company fell under due to covid, so this fragrance is now discontinued. The olive tree is beautifully done.

This is Italian Perfumery at its best. What a glorious find this is for me. I love dry fragrances and this doesn't disappoint. The Vetiver is well done dry and slightly earthy not soapy. A great use of pepper with a slight Jasmine Background. It's like what I would expect an old gnarled Olive tree to smell like somewhere in the Mediterranean. I want more from this line.
