Chasing Ghosts

"Gourmand" for people who don't enjoy gourmands Is how I'd describe it Because it comes off as pretty sweet and edible (rice, orange blossom and cashmere wood) but the other notes balance it beautifully so it isn't as suffocating and cloying as majority of gourmand fragrances are to me - nice and interesting to smell once but i wouldn't wear that Rhubarb and grapefruit add an interesting twinge of green and zestiness Cannabis and pepper are very aromatic and the base is very warm and cozy with dry woods, musks and cashmere

Opening smells exactly like opening a bag of snacks with a lot of flavour powder that blows in your face. It dials down into toasted cereal in a way that can be pleasant but I understand the comment of unshowered pothead cheeto fingers as well. Not sweat for me, but caked up chip dust. Smells like munchies aftermath.

Out of the discovery set, I liked everything else except Chasing Ghosts, however I already suspected it wouldnt be my thing due to the cannabis note. The rhubarb and cannabis are quite powerful, theres also some spicyness to the scent. I'm also picking some oats from it.

oh my god, absolutely not. i mean, i hadn't expected to like it, spotting that hemp note in the description, but i couldn't have imagined how accurately they would replicate the sour body odour of a pothead that hasn't showered in a week. awful!

I'd say every note of this fragrance is pretty much recognisable, the initial blast is indeed a tart rhubarb with and pepper, but a "cereal" aspect is also very present since the beginning. It is not a classic powdery rice but a raw brown rice like a pantry scent, which mixes then with the weed which should rather be placed in the middle notes imo. A few hours later the drydown has changed completely and became wayy smoother, barely any cereal or weed left, only soft musk, ambroxan, and almost a vanillic aftertaste? The grapefruit also seems to be pushing through. Overall original and nice, while it doesnt bear much resemblance based on the notes it makes me think about ELDO's Like this, for the half herbal/ half sweet pantry aspect that it has, except Like this has a better staying power... Which is saddening as the drydown of this one is delicious.

In my opinion, this is the only Art Brut fragrance that is worth trying. A very well done and realistic creation. It smells like a cannabis sweet cake. Gourmand/ balsamic and addictive. It's thick but also airy, a strange vibe. Very easy to wear and unisex. It has no smoke, no ashes, and no loud notes.

so so soft and dry, fresh laundry hot and steamy from the dryer, but with zero laundry smell and instead RICE!! it is very ricey, and the cannabis is barely noticeable, if it wasnt listed as a note i would NOT say this smells like cannabis
