Gin and Tonic Cologne

#1778 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Got this decant from scentsplit.com. When I first started this journey I did’t know better than to waste my money on fraiche, colognes and EDTs. I owned every Kenneth Cole scent then on the market (In those days I wore Kenneth Cole shoes, went to work with a Kenneth Cole bag. I was a fanboy). I liked most all the Kenneth Cole scents, but they were watered down and so performed such that I gave them all away. But there was onE of the Cole freshies that I thought would have been great summer wear had it been more long lasting: “Mankind Ultimate.” That scent came off very aquatic and fresh thanks to the cucumber, and this Art de Parfum is basically a bit stronger, greener and more lasting version of that scent. I really enjoy it. But do I enjoy it enough to pay $175 for 50ml? I could just get seven $25 bottles of Mankind Ultimate and just bathe in it, keeping one in the bath, one in the car, one in the gym and reapply as needed. And Dua Brands has their extrait concentration “Gin & Tonic” clone for $33. Demeter “Gin & Tonic" cologne is $25 for 4oz. So probably no to spending $175 for this. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

A sparkling summery woody fragrance, with notes of bitter citruses and herbs. The distinctiveness of juniper really helps it to push it in the direction of a "GT". Because it's not a hyperrealistic Gin & Tonic for sure, but I get the idea all the same. It has all the right components, and it makes for a lovely summertime fragrance. If you are a Gin & Tonic connoisseur as myself - you probably gonna love it! And no - you're not gonna smell like a drunken Londoner.

Perfect summer scent, a masterpiece. I love Juniper Sling, but always longed for it to last. Gin & Tonic is not beast mode but does offer better longevity and added crispy green, a tad earthy vetiver balances the sparkliness of juniper and citruses so well. So I ended up preferring this over JS. Dry down stage makes me think of JS crossed with Infusion Vetiver by Prada. And you arrive at Gin & Tonic here. Perfectly unisex. A joy to wear.

Absolutely stunning! If you like gin&tonic drink, look no further. This is like taking shower in Schweppes original soda, bitter and refreshing. I can litreally feel the drops running down my body. It does smell gin (because of the Juniper berries) but it not alcoholic smelling. It is a MUCH better unisex version of Frain L'eau humaniste (which leans masculine). This comes in an extrait de pafum version. Try Before you buy.

A serious pick-me-up, great during summer. Not the best when hung over, as this is acute gin and tonic realness. :) Feels like that glorious first sip on a hot afternoon. It lasts surprisingly long for a citrus scent – two sprays easily lasts all day for me. It's tart, bitter, and refreshing and evolves into a slightly sweeter and muskier version of itself within an hour.

Surprisingly this is the first summer perfume I've found that manages to stay fresh and citrusy throughout the entire scent journey. A bit unfortunate because of the sillage but the projection is 10/10. Roja Elysium DNA

Absolutely superb. Worth trying even if you're not usually a gin- scent fan. This is beautiful for the summer and the drydown is full of earthy vetiver and musk. Heaven!

A cocktail even a teetotaller like me can love- but a pretty sharp smack in the nose,too. It definitely doesn't reek of alcohol or make you smell like a sodden drunk; but the really herbal, astringent, juniper note leaves you in no doubt at all about what it's evoking. Almost bitter - that'll be the quinine of the soda, or whatever's mimicking it here - and not gentle about it, yet still seriously intensely refreshing on the hottest day. I don't know how much it would appeal at lower temperatures, but if you're looking for a scent to focus the mind and make you feel crisp, cool and collected in warm weather this would absolutely do that ( just like ONE G&T in beverage form, but not bamboozled like more booze would.) Longevity is medium, and while this is absolutely wearable by women it does seem to skew unisex-male IMHO. In a single word: zinggggg!

Gin and tonic cologne is a refreshing juniper centered summer scent. The initial contribution by the grapefruit i think is an important part of the summery freshness in the opening chord. With time the scent turns soft, woody and animalic but for many hours still with a touch of juniper. The dry down is really warm and friendly but skin close. For the first hours Gin and tonic cologne is a successful interpretation of it’s name and maybe that is also the one problem with it. I really like this cologne but I'm not sure at what occasions I actually want to go around smelling like a well-known liquor drink.

On my skin it’s very reminiscent of fresh, clean, new car smell in the best way. So I feel like it’s slightly chemically but not in an irritating way at all. Gives me a bit of nostalgic feeling. Otherwise, very realistic lemon zest. The juniper doesn’t jump out like in some juniper centric scents. Instead, it blends very well with the rest. I like it a lot, just don’t think I need it.

A fizzy, refreshing, elixir perfectly suited for those hot steamy summer days. As the name states, it's primarily gin and tonic, with a bit of ambergris and lemon zest. I like it a lot. It basically smells like L'homme de Couer but without that cold distinctive Iris accord. I'd like a bottle at some point, as I really enjoy wearing it.

Juniper. Cucumber. Citrus. Gin and Tonic won’t win the originality award, but Art de Parfum did create a beautiful, easy to wear, summer scent. Everything smells natural and fresh. The base is more salty and musk driven which is a welcome change from others that push the wood note forward. I like it and would wear it.

A delightful summer scent that truly evokes a fresh cool drink but not in a boozy or overwhelming way, an enjoyable hot weather wear.

Light, bright, fizzy. Same idea as Moscow Mule. It’s nice, a good intimate scent. 7/10

Well, this was a huge disappointment for me, a simple and week cologne with a woody sour grapefruit, that's it. Simply can't believe the high rating for this. No similarities with Juniper Sling and definitely not with Hermes Voyage. These two scent are soo much smoother and better...and has personality at least. I guess my problem is that I don't like that sour woody feeling it leaves on my skin, I think it is the Grapefruit together with amboxan, that doesn't smell fresh at all. I have the same problem with Hacivat and Burlington 1819, so I guess it's just a matter of taste. I'm also trying "Sea Foam" from this house and THAT one I like so much better actually, it deserves much higher rating. Sea Foam actually has a lot of personality and is smooth, fresh with a nice drydown! I understand though that many people don't like that scent profile because it has very unique and different kind of smell. But for me Sea Foam is a keeper and Gin and Tonic I will give away unfortunately because I can't see myself reaching for that.. Juniper Sling on the other hand I wan't a full bottle of.

It is worth trying indeed, but dont commit to buying it unless you try first. To me it smells of cucumbers the most, lemon, and gin, as simple as that. Moderate sillage and ok longevity, I cant smell it after 3 hours. It delivers what it says.... gin and tonic 6/10

If you are seeking a gin and tonic (and this one isn't the one), you might try Angeliques Sous La Pluie Frederic Malle. It is the only perfume from which I have gotten such a sense of gin and tonic.

I would literally die if someone sprayed this while I was hungover. It's the smell of a perfectly mixed, top shelf gin and tonic with a tiny bit of key lime.

Great fragrance for those hot summer days. Crisp and clean.
