Like a Virgin Limited Édition

This is a gorgeous, happy, bubble-gummy orange blossom fragrance with the perfect touch of lactonic milkiness to provide a little fuzzy warmth. I LOVE it!!! I still remember discovering Art Meets Art for the first time in a tiny apothecary in a far flung Bavarian Village. I fell for Lilac Wine that day and promptly ordered a sample set, really eager to try 'Like a Virgin' (the original Morillas creation). It was okay, but left me very underwhelmed. Then I spritzed on 'Like a Virgin - unplugged' from Fabrice and 'aaaaah' I could hear the angels singing! THIS is the kind of orange blossom I adore - rich, full-bodied, slightly honeyed, and incredibly -- this LASTS AGES, which for me is super rare with orange blossom scents. Thankfully Art Meets Art have added this one to their permanent collection and they are finally available in the U.S. at ZGO perfumery. This is a really cool and interesting brand and they were doing the music + scent thing long before many others! If you're an orange blossom lover, I can't recommend this one highly enough!

I love this one. The name and the house sound really mediocre, but in the end this is the one I picked up after sampling 100+ niche perfumes in NYC. What makes it special? It's a full-bodied, sweet and sticky orange blossom with lots and lots of freshness. It opens sparkly and as it dries down the milkiness blends the flower with the sweetness, and it becomes an absolutely comforting veil to wear around. Citrus and white floral lovers will love this unusual borderline gourmand-ish take on orange blossom. Byredo's Sundazed gives out very similar vibe, but has a sweeter cotton candy note. Now I've worn this for a few months my nose starts to pick up a animalic note in its heart. Perhaps it's phenylacetic acid? Regardless it's still very pleasant and I'll cherish my bottle. Sillage is moderate to skin scent, Last 8hrs+. Their other offers are also quite lovely, except "Like A Virgin" that's not limited edition!

Interesting how some people vote. Blind bought on the promise of milk notes. Hmm, well milk is somewhere in the background but this is basically a creamy vanilla with the orange blossom giving it a little heady floral character (hence my comment about votes as orange blossom is the second most important part not the most prominent as the vanilla is quite obvious). It reminds me dramatically of Farmacia SS Annunziata Vaniglia Del Madagascar - especially the shower gel I love. It also reminds me very closely of Ex Idolo Love and Crime followed closely by PG Felanilla (though that’s more about brown sugar rather than orange blossom). In all a lovely purchase though not a cracker nor a whimp in performance. It would also appear to be the stronger and best offering in his range judging by the bonus samples I’ve used that came supplied.

Beautiful. This whole house is unique. This is like an orange pez dissolved in a glass of ice cold vanilla soy milk.
