A'Mare

This is a beautiful, long-lasting fragrance that explores every aspect of ginger as it develops. It starts out as the fruity ginger, the equivalent of the first bite of a candied ginger chew. Then it morphs into the spicy ginger, just like the finish of a ginger chew, or like the raw ginger you might find in Asian food. It is spicy, but not in your face. Then, in the very end (maybe around hour 8), it becomes the sweeter ginger you might associate with a ginger snap cookie. It is never gingerbread-sweet (at least not on me), but it does end on a sweet note. I would classify this as a perfume that starts out cool and crisp, but then slowly transforms to crisp spicy, warm spicy, and finally warm sweet. The mixture of notes is exquisite and they bring out all the different aspects of ginger without overwhelming it. This would not be a "date night" perfume, and I would not call it "sophisticated" or "attention-getting." However, it would be perfect for daytime wear--equally as beautiful at the office or for a brunch with friends. It's not a sillage monster and is not cloying or offensive. It's just a nice scent which is working its magic on your skin while you go about your day. When you remember to sniff your wrist, it will be different every time you smell it. Ginger is a very multi-faceted plant/flavor/scent, and this perfume does an excellent job of capturing it in all its complexity.

This fragrance smells more complex that its notes pyramid. You can definitely feel the ginger, but for me it's very close to mint. The absence of woody notes keeps it in the area of marine scents. I think some wood would have added to its complexity, but at the same time it would have made the fragrance less marine. It's suitable for both ladies and gentlemen on a hot summer day. It has very good projection, but the price tag is a little bit exaggerated.

My nose is usually able to identify at least three basic notes in a fragrance, upon first time, "blind" sniffing. I was amazed to have guessed NONE with this one, when checking the notes list here. I expected it to contain a good deal of elemi, or at least some ambergris, besides the "obvious" fig, salt and citruses. Right... I'd classify it as marine as a bottled fragrance can be. Very Mediterranean. I deliberately picked it for my beach weekend; to me it really smells like a coast: lots of salted air, some fig shade (the whole tree, leaf and fruit composition), freshness from the conifer forest and ice cubes chilled lemonade. Mind you - this is only my subjective impression, which apparently has nothing to do with the real state of facts, but I suppose it doesn't really matter - it's the final feeling that counts, not a list of ingredients. And I was very happy with my choice - it turned out to be very present in spite of insanely hot weather, but however intense and persistent it came, it couldn't offend anyone in my company, as it feels very natural and very appropriate even for dining while the fresh marine air is surrounding you anyways. To conclude the whole impression and give you a more approximate idea of A'Mare, as it is not widely available, it could be as fruity and marine as TM Womanity, for example, but without the "funky fishy stuff", or even more close to Hermes Merveilles, due to its piney, citrusy sort of freshness.

Breezy aromatic aquatic scent that takes you on a voyage in clean ocean waters. The scent opens with notes of ginger and cardamom, moves to a mostly tonka heart and settles on a base of calonic musk. A gentler version of aquatic heavyweights like Acqua di Sale without the fishy seaweed note, the unisex scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. Sail ahoy!

I can save may be, just this parfume, cause I don’t like The other fragrances of this brand. I got few, but I wouldn’t never buy them again.
