I have to admit that I haven’t had my nose on too many chocolate scents. I’ve had many fragrances with a chocolate note, but before I even knew what the fragrance was, I loved it. At first sniff I was enveloped in a warm cozy scent. It was sweet, yet balanced. I got a baked quality. I also got sweet chocolate mouse, and old fashioned chocolate cake. The frosted type, with the likes of a fudgey quality. Not too dark or ganache. The coffee only makes it more fluffy and rounded. I highly recommend if you’re a gourmand enthusiast. Today I wore this with Tihota, and I highly recommend the two together. Elevated chocolate cake. Best in cool weather, night time, and fall. Although honestly I’m wearing this on a summer’s afternoon.

I absolutely adore this! It really does smell like a chocolate treat. The bitter orange adds a bit of booziness and cuts through the chocolate. The dry down is a cozy, deep vanilla. This is a great perfume for when I’m feeling down, it’s comforting as well as a bit sexy. I really can’t get enough of this, and keep smelling my wrists! If you’re looking for a beautiful chocolate scent, I highly recommend!

Smells exactly like Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion.. which is the lotion I wear daily. I have been looking for a scent to compliment that lotion, and boy have I found it! This smells like the coziest cup of hot chocolate you'll ever drink. Warm, inviting, edible. Incredible scent!

Smells just like chocolate ice cream. Creamy and sweet, not too dark, but also still very distinctly fudgy. And shockingly long lasting for a chocolate perfume! I love it

Love love love it! The darkest chocolate with a molten chocolate core, minimal sweetness. Yay!

Chocolate with that nice zip of bitter orange that definitely makes it have a slight zing and complexity to it. It’s not super complex though, you can just tell something in it though isn’t straight chocolate. I really enjoyed this scent, it’s a like but not a love. It hasn’t dethroned my chocolate greedy montale as favorite chocolate scent as the spillage, longevity, & scent profile I still prefer more on greedy. But this is nice and I do enjoy it, I don’t think it’ll be a full bottle buy as I tend to prefer other chocolates more... I’m surprised ppl consider this more feminine as I felt like it was unisex, although it’s a sweet gourmand it wasn’t disgustingly sweet and that slight orange bitterness that’s just a hint for me makes it more unisex than other chocolates I have like velvet chocolate Theodoros k. Which is a sweeter hot powdery chocolate imo which leans more feminine to me.

Wow, it smells like photorealistic tootsie rolls with a hint of spiced orange and coffee. It's really delicious. When smelling it from the bottle I was worried it would be cloying or too fake smelling but no, once it is on my skin it's not too sweet or artificial, but sweet enough to be "addictive" to take whiffs of and make you crave some cake or cookies. It very clearly smells like a chocolate treat yet it doesn't feel too literal or too novel to wear as a perfume at least for me. It's sweet, fairly straightforward, but grounded and balanced with the coffee and bitter orange, so I would say it is unisex for anybody who wants to smell like a sexy chocolate cake.

This was an impulsive blind buy. I am not a straight up gourmand lover. I don't want to smell like food. But these days i needed something comforting. I am not disappointed. It starts off with a dark chocolate. Orange is lingering in the background. It really reminds me of a dark chocolate cookie or a good quality dark chocolate drink .It's not overly sweet. I like to layer it with a citrus fragrance and a vanilla body lotion. Projection is moderate, longevity - very good. Overall 7.5/10. Great for mood boost in the winter.

The opening smells exactly like the chocolate cookie I'm eating right now, in the dry down it's less uber-gourmand and more fragrance-y, still a nice and cozy scent. Performance is decent, won't last all day but a good half of it. Hyper-realistic Gourmand. Warm, comforting, chocolatey goodness. Expensive but high quality! 9/10.

Oh how uncanny. Rich chocolate with hint of coffee, though I think I get a bit of caramel, too. I don’t get bitter orange though. It’s a very good chocolate gourmand perfume. The sweetness is just the right amount.

Reminds me of Dame Chocolate Man, in that this is a bitter chocolate with zilch sweetness to be found. I do wish the vanilla was more prominent, what is present is also quite dry but not boozy.

Tootsie Roll! That it is that is all. I promise you, it smells just like Tootsie Rolls. Cute and sweet. O-k I'm going to say it one more time, Tootsie Rolls, that is t that is all.

This smells like cocoa butter to me. There’s also a sharp dark chocolate note, like a bittersweet bar with no floral or fruity notes. It is very pleasant and comforting but not worth a full bottle for me.

Smells like the chocolate marker out of the kids' Mr. Sketch scented markers.

I had high hopes for this one, but it has sadly been done before - and for a more reasonable price. It smells almost identical to Montale Chocolate Greedy without the sweetness (or any at all, for that matter). I tried layering it with Mazzolari Vaniglia and it was lovely, but $180 will certainly buy me something I don’t have to mix just to enjoy it. *Update: I’m trying this again 5 months later (after proper storage) and to my nose, this smells like mildew! I don’t get it. I wish I got the tootsie roll smell but all I get is mildew. Yuck 🤢

It semlls just like Palmer's cocoa butter products to me or a bodyshop cocoa body butter which makes the perfume overpriced for a scent that is available for under £10. While it might be a realstic cocoa butter I much prefer Dolce Passione (Pantheon Roma) take on the chocolate theme - that one is art.

Let me just say I am not a gourmand addict and definitely never have been drawn to chocolate fragrances but I just got my full bottle after bathing in the sample and I love it so much. Obviously there is sweetness in it but I don’t love a certain kind of sweet ie kilian love it others with that strong nose burning sweetness but this is almost dry and so buttery it is pure comfort to my nose. It’s almost like the smell when you open up the ghiradelli Unsweetened cocoa powder when baking. I don’t think this is young or cheap smelling it’s somehow a very sophisticated realistic chocolate pastry. I feel like it will be my at home cozy scent but see myself wearing it in winter and obviously Valentine’s Day at my kids school or other chocolate centered events. My only complaint is that the label out of the box is scuffed and I like to keep a really pristine collection.

Hmm, like others before me have mentioned, it does smell like a tootsie roll or Hersheys chocolate bar, maybe even M&Ms. It’s a milk chocolate rather than dark chocolate. I don’t like the opening with the bitter orange as I don’t feel orange and chocolate go well together. Good thing the orange dissipates after the first minute or so. It then settles into the aforementioned milk chocolate scent with the orange faintly in the background which gives it that “M&M” feel. I bought this as a sample along with Akro Dark & I prefer this one by a long shot. Not bad. Too expensive for a FB so I’ll pass

smells like freshly baked brownies, warm and toasty! I don't really get any of the orange, but maybe thats what makes the fragrance feel so warm. It also smells a bit like crumbly bread and tootsie rolls. I do think if someone smelled me they would only pick up a generic sweet smell unless i specifically told them the concept behind the fragrance. it's something i would wear to enhance my mood and feel snuggly, but probably not full bottle worthy! within two hours its like i never applied it.

I am a gourmand girl although oddly enough, I do not tend to gravitate toward chocolate scents. But this! How fun it is! Sadly though, I get no coffee or baked milk biscuits, Just straight up tootsie roll vibes. This is a happy medium for me – not too sweet and not bitter. Lasting power is abysmal, and it actually angers me that it’s $160 given that. I am not sure this is full bottle worthy, but it’s certainly 10 ml decant worthy.

Photo realistic tinned cookies dipped in chocolate, with a balanced spritz of sweet orange on first spray. As it dries, the orange fades and leaves you with a gorgeous silky milk chocolate. I find this very similar to Theodoros Kalotini's Chocolate Velvet, but this has a slightly more lactonic note. Ultimately I ended up choosing Jousset's Le Gourmand because it lasts longer and is more irresistible, to me.

Smells yummy. I get the chocolate factory vibe, not the tootsie roll one, which is fine. It isn't like all the way chocolate, it has something in it that keeps it from being overpowering chocolate... I get the boozy sort of scent accompanying the chocolate. It's good but not sure if I'd consider it full bottle worthy.

Yup, cocoa powder, not chocolate bar. It's a bit synthetic in the composition, but not unpleasantly. Kind of like a chocolate scented squishy toy. It stays like that on me, and doesn't change much. My chocolate fragrance loving sister really likes it though, so I gave the decant to her.

Yummy, dark, indulgent, bitter. Like chocolate liquer. Delicious! I would recommend this over Akro-Dark if you're looking for a dark chocolate gourmande. The cinnamon note in Dark makes it a bit musty and adhesive/bandaid smelling.

39/100 cheap dairy free wafer. its cheapness is cloying with an “aftertaste”. it has unnecessary spices. overall not something i’d want to smell like.

Terrible! I would never want to smell like a darn tootsie roll
