Black Hashish

Okay this do smell like BA but only in the drydown. BA is loud and harshly green, this one is smoother. Performance is off the charts, I wore it at work and after 9 hours it's still radiating from my clothes and faintly detectable on my skin. Overall very satisfied with the perfume, but I don't think this can be a replacement for BA. The original BA is non replaceable

Black Hashish perfume was launched in 2018 and its concept talks about the strong smell of incense, always warm and enveloping. As I tell in the Oud Khasian’s review, Black Hashish also seems to me to be a relaunching of the 2013 Jardin Afghan fragrance, part of the brand's first discontinued collection. The current composition lists some considerable alterations in the olfactory pyramid. And speaking of the pyramid, Black Hashish brings notes of labdanum, incense, and green accord at the top. Then, violet, ambergris, and tobacco appear in the body of the fragrance, over notes of musk, coffee, cedar, sandalwood, and, again, labdanum. I think it's important to explain that the interpretation of Hashish, which gives the name to the fragrance, was not as literal this time as it was with Primero Marocaine. For those who don't know, hashish (or hash) is a resin extracted from the marijuana plant and there are several types. The black is known as Paraguayan and, according to specialists in the subject, it has inferior quality. On the skin, Black Hashish is much more about tobacco than anything else. There is a strong approach to the smell felt in tobacco stores when the tar spreads through the dense smoke and reveals the alcoholic nuances of whiskey. On me, the output delivers a mix of boozy, smoky, and medicinal nuances. After a few minutes, the ambery profile (which until recently, we called oriental) starts to dominate and the fragrance warms up and starts to lose its leathery effect. At this stage, it appears that Black Hashish has become weak and has stopped exuding. But the truth is that the output has a very strong hook and that makes it seem like the rest is weak, you know? After that, I don't think that the fragrance evolves much, nor that the presence of coffee is overpowering. But the sandalwood is quite evident and the base gains extra creaminess and an effect of Indian incense, one of those persistent ones. I confess that my expectation was different because the liquid is quite dark and I was expecting an uncomfortable fragrance, with a rustic aspect and almost fecal nuances, like a stable. But Black Hashish is more harmless and pleasant than its visual impact conveys, in addition to being unisex and distinctive. I really enjoyed getting to know it.

#1287 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I like this scent. It's a quality fragrance, with some similarity to the segment leader Nasomatto's "Black Afgano", but there's no need to spend $300 for something like this when Mancera's "Hindu Kush" is better and you can find it for less than $60. There are several more out there others have mentioned, but the Mancera is the best value. Definitely a scent for cold weather and after hours. I wouldn't wear this to the office, and I'd go easy with this in close quarters as this isn't a scent everyone will appreciate.

Has a strong and complex pleasant start that I can't really separate to individual notes, but the sandalwood-cedar mix that remains a couple of hours later is really harsh and generally male for me. It smells like.. like a guy who overdoes his deodorant, very in-your-face. I really like the start and middle, but the base is a big "no", I just can't pull it off. Gets better once the cedar is out, but only half so.

It's an amazing scent. It's very warm, oriental, woody. My boyfriend is crazy about it and me because I gave it to him.

Dark and woody, in the same vein of black afgano, but with less personality and performance.

I was intrigued by this one. I got it as a sample. I already own a lot of very dark and woody fragrances, but this one seemed different enough to warrant a test. But I have to admit, I came back to it today and did a side-by-side with Oud for Greatness, Jazz Club, and By the Fireplace, and honestly, Black Hashish smells rank by comparison. Like an old oily leather shoe left in the basement. That's what my skin turns it into anyway. So it's not for me!

Surface level, this smells like a lot of the Nasomatto-Orto Parisi offerings -- now that's a surface level view. There are some major differences, most notably the added dustiness and lack of weed, but having said all that, the differences are about the same in size as the actual differences between, say, Stercus and Terroni, for example. They aren't major, and for most people, you could probably fool them into thinking it was one or the other. Either way, this does smell quite nice, but at the end of the day, it's too samesy for me...

Its a lovely fragrance that feature hasish note with loads of spices in it. Defintely similar to Nasomatto creation Black Afgano but more wearable in my honest opinion plus it is 100ML Extrait de Parfum which can be used liberally as compared to its ocunterpart Black Afgano which comes in 30ml Extrait.. Galore compliments big time and is not at all harsh..... Longevity : 8-9 hours before it becomes skin scent Projection : Moderate .. Uniqueness ; 3/10 Worth trying
