Yakamoz

Yakamoz hit the market in 2021 and its concept speaks of a complex composition, which seeks to tell about summer nights under the moonlight, since its name has Turkish origin and does not have a direct translation into any other language. The meaning of the term would be "the moonlight shining on the ocean". Yakamoz's fragrance is floral-fruity-amber and has top notes of bergamot and fig, which explode on the skin and reveal a spicier central path with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and rose, in the heart. The base brings notes of vanilla, amber, and patchouli. Once sprayed, the fragrance strongly reveals notes of bergamot and rose, although this one is not at the top. Immediately, I thought of fragrances that convey the style of the Orient, with very vivid rose nuances, like those from the Montale brand, for example. That being said, you can already imagine the quality of what you will find in this creation by Arte Olfatto, right? Then, in the blink of an eye, the fig arrives with its woodier facets (from its branches and leaves) and pulls along with it the warmth of the nutmeg. Here, the notes of rose and jasmine exude intensely and, once again, the fragrance changes and the ylang-ylang reveals its milkier nuances. In about ten minutes, Yakamoz evolved from a juicy fruity smell to a soft floral one, which surprised me a lot. Also, it is at this stage that the cinnamon note becomes more noticeable, but not overdone. In a last movement, the Yakamoz's fragrance changes once more and presents a light and creamy vanilla, which is not there to overlap any other note, just to compose the amber accord of the base. And the result is a combo of fig, flowers, and amber that works like a scale balancing brighter facets against more mysterious ones. It's nice to reveal that during my tests, the floral side (especially the rose) remained longer on the blotter than on the skin. Finally, Yakamoz is an incredible, differentiated, and quality fragrance. In my opinion, it is completely unisex – but full of character – and performs very well. I didn't have anything like it in my collection until then. I'm in love!

This fragrance is amazing. For a 100ml extrait it is definitely worth the price! A spicy combination of fig, cinnamon nutmeg, patchouli and amber. Will be stuck on your clothes for days!

Similar profile to French Avenue Cocoa Morado without the off-putting sticky sweetness. It gives the impression of a spiced dark chocolate drink - smooth and warm with a slightly dry, earthy component. The notes are well blended. There's enough of this fragrance DNA around that I would be hesitant to buy this, but I would be delighted to receive this as a gift. Projection and sillage is initially very high, drydown has intimate projection. Longevity is ~7 hours for the heart, and nearly 10 hours for the base.

Yakamoz!!! Aaah, this is an incredibly beautiful fragrance. it is so difficult to put into words! 😭 The blend of rose, cinnamon, nutmeg and fig comes together seamlessly, making it hard to distinguish individual notes without checking the pyramid. It’s one of the most captivating scents i've ever experienced! Elegant, sensual and luxurious ❤️❤️❤️ On my skin, it delivers an impressive performance: Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 9/10 (enduring for 9-10 hours) Projection: 7/10 (moderately powerful, especially in the first 2-3 hours) but when it comes to ArteOlfatto fragrances, even if the scent seems weak, it's actually incredibly potent, leading to temporary anosmia for yourself, but others can still experience its bold presence. A must try for those valuing a refined and memorable perfume. Truly unique imo!
