Cuero de Mexico

Cuero de Mexico was launched in 2010 and portrays the universe of horse's mounts, Mexican soap operas, and local landscapes. Its Spanish name means, in English, Mexican leather. Cuero de Mexico has a woody fragrance, with many fruity and leathery nuances. In its composition, it has neroli on top, with notes of tuberose, orange, and purple flowers from jacaranda, in the body. The base was built over myrrh and leather. On the skin, the leathery smell is present from the beginning. It is a fragrance made for lovers of perfumes with leather facets and this should come as no surprise to anyone, even if anyone decides to say the opposite. The evolution brings a stronger smell of oranges, which gives a more diurnal and solar aspect. In Cuero de Mexico, the creative concept – which speaks of a ride under the orange trees, smelling the raw leather of the horse's saddle combined with the sweet temptation of ripe fruits – was successfully achieved. For me, the big surprise was finding all of this in a creamy way, not too dry, or too spicy. And the secret is the tuberose, which gives an aspect of soft, waxed, and carnal flowers, over a hot and balsamic myrrh. Ultimately, the Cuero de Mexico perfume seems to have been inspired by the maidens of Zorro's countless stories, always helpless in the hands of the bandits and thrown over a horse in scenes of abduction and escape. And there, between long dark hair and breasts clamped by corsets, her intoxicating scent resisting the most diverse adventures of a timeless romance. I don't like superlatives, but I dare say it is one of the most delicate leather perfumes I have ever known, at least until now. I keep wondering how beautiful it must be in the Extrait version.
