How I love bitter orange. This is really an under the radar bitter orange gem. Incredibly fresh, juicy, bitter, watery, natural-smelling. Not ’perfumey’ at all. This is very good. Unfortunately very short-lived. As volatile as the summer in Sweden, but for that short moment it is pure bliss.

A very nice unisex fragrance! A big burst of complex citrus combined with herbal notes that make you feel like you’re walking through a sunny orchard. But the other reviewers are right - longevity is the problem. At first spray, the scent is robust, bright, and vivid - I thought there was no way the reviews were correct. Then, after 10 minutes, the fragrance was fading. I asked my boyfriend if he liked the scent, but he couldn’t smell it on me ~1 hour after spraying liberally. I would have to layer this with another fragrance for it to be effective, so it’s not worth the price point.

Splash Orange Amère opens immediately oily with bitter orange and bergamot rendered somewhat foody with cumin and tarragon, then quickly devolves into little more than an old-fashioned soap-esque skin scent. Despite heavy application, Splash Orange Amère is all but gone within the hour. Largely uninteresting and with such abysmal longevity, it’s hard to like.
