Oh my god, it's heavenly. I did not expect to even like this, just goes to show notes on a paper say nothing of the experience. It's aromatic, warm, softly spicy, cozy, sexy but in a non-threatening way. Amber, woods, thyme, on an airy and elegant sweet base. I get no leather. I find it ever so slightly masculine but I'd categorize it as unisex in the end because of its elegant whispers of sweetness. I love that it's so rich in layers, I really respect a perfumer that achieves this. It's perfectly blended, I'd wear it any season of the year.

This is my second review later, years after the first time I smelled it, a year after buying a sample, shortly after buying a bottle. I was early in my fragrance journey when Tuscon hooked me― I didn't have the understanding/language/vocabulary I have for fragrance now. Back then, I read it as masculine, creamy, delicious, intoxicating. So I was thrilled to recieve my bottle― and then! Disappointment. Not in the fragrance itself, but in it's performance on my skin. It pulls so powdery on me, in a way I didn't recall from my sample. The projection and longevity are so intense that it starts to bug my nose after a while. The worst part is, when I smell it on my clothes days later, I fall in love again, but am reminded that tragically, it pulls so differently on my skin than on my clothes. I was determined to try and make it work, so I paired it with Jo Malone's leather fragrance, and that helped bring out that masculine energy that had initially drawn me to it. Sadly, it pulls soapy on me, and smells so much better on my clothes than on my skin. It makes me feel like a farm girl, which is not what I'm going for.

This is a fantastic, spicy amber fragrance. There must be spices in this that aren't listed in the note breakdown. The immortelle in this goes in the maple syrup direction (and not the curry direction). The labdanum gives a nice amber effect and even contributes a hint of leather (especially early on in its development). It is somewhat aromatic/herbal...I'm guessing from the thyme. The far drydown is an addictive, slightly powdery amber with spice. Overall, the performance on me is good. It lasts ALL day, but it's not a loud or "beast-mode" scent. Leans masculine in my opinion. This has a similar vibe to Idole EDP by Lubin, if you were to switch out the saffron and replace it with sweet immortelle; I'd say they are cousins, and if you like the one you'd like the other. Glad I tried this, it's a really great one!

This fragrance is so interesting. I was walking by a little thrift store when I smelled the most delightful smell emanating from the store. I walked inside and there was only the guy working there. I asked what he was wearing, and he told me he’d just sprayed some cologne to make the store smell nicer. I asked if I could smell it and he said yes. My mind was blown. It was so good. So I ordered a sample. Sniffing it again in the little glass vial, it projects and is intense and smokey, but also somehow like baby powder? It’s a very masculine fragrance. On me, while it is delightful, I think it’s too manly. It’s very creamy cowboy. If I smelled it on someone else, I would fall in love instantly I think. It’s very captivating. I hope it’s someone’s signature scent.

Spicy herbal amber. I feel between the immortelle, spices and herbs. It’s a combination of challenging notes brought together beautifully but it remains a stretch to reach for. A like where I appreciate the artistry but not worth the splurge IMO. Maybe a 10ml since they have that size if you really like it otherwise it’s pretty much in the “wearable art” category.
