One aspect of the brand experience that I feel deserves mention is customer engagement. Over the past four years, I have visited the brand's stand at Esxence in Milan on multiple occasions. Despite being one of the few independent reviewers to have covered this line in depth, I consistently found the staff either dismissive or uninterested ( just visited again a few days ago) What struck me most was that this occurred even when the stand was not busy and there was ample opportunity for conversation. While the fragrances themselves may appeal to certain collectors, brands operating at this price point are selling more than perfume...they are selling an experience, a relationship, and a sense of connection with the house. In contrast to many other luxury and niche brands that welcome both long-time supporters and newcomers, I repeatedly felt invisible as an anonymous customer. After several years of similar experiences, I ultimately concluded that the customer experience did not reflect the premium positioning of the brand. This is my official goodbye and I will not be buying more from Panadora bor Aswan. I will also not be mentioning this brand to anyone else to fragrance friends/fragrance forums.

The opening completed had me melting. It brought to mind Angelique Noire as a beautiful vanilla paired with an intrugue that I've never smelt before. The pear and tarragon give it something seductive and novel. It is unique to my collection. I kept going back to smell my wrist THEN a shift after about an hour... the tarragon and pear disappear and the fragrance settles into a sweeter amyris (with a softly fruity nuance) smoothed compleyly with orris. It is well-blended and very smooth but too smooth for my taste. The edges that made the opening so exciting are rounded off, and it starts to resemble other elegant, orris-leaning drydowns on the market. The opening set such a high emotional bar. The magic that made it feel singular fades into something more familiar. Those who love orris and a creamy, polished finish will probably find this beautiful all the way through. For me, I’m left torn between an opening I want experience often and a drydown that, while objectively good, can’t live up to its own beginning.

This whole brand is a massive no for me. Launching with 12 fragrances instantly makes me sceptical as to how good these are creatively and quality wise. Zoabi already had something GREAT going on with Pana Dora. This just seems like a cashgrab, and maybe a way to sell Pana Dora «extraits» without having it under the same name. Weird stuff man...
