Cedre Atlas

How in the world is this not more talked about and how in the heck is the "like" bar over the "love" bar in the ratings?! I also get very very good longevity and above average projection and I am one who has to spray a little more than the average as things generally don't seem to last very long for me. I am just shocked. Anyways, I think this a the poster fragrance for a signature scent. This is a very very pleasing scent that garners so many complements. This and Santal Carmin are the only two I have smelled from the house and I am very very impressed. I am always on the hunt for things that everyone else is not wearing, that why I collect niche mainly and dont have many creed or bonds as everyone wears them. This is the PERFECT citrus with a fresh cur piece of Cedar wood base and opening. I am very impressed how long it lasts too as citrus summer scents usually dont last this long. I highly encourage one to get a sample of this off ebay like i did for $4.oo, it came in three days and once I put it on my hand, it was over. Full bottle on the way. Now this is one I love to wear in the warmer weather and I get soooo many complements. Look at the opinions on youtube and you will see others love this too and get great longevity also. Scent 9/10 longevity 9/10 projection 8/10 quality 9/10 overall 9/10 and I highly recommend.

I love this perfume! Definitely one of my new favorites. It reads as a true unisex fragrance to me. A bit of sweetness without being sugary and a bit of woodiness without being too dry and earthy. Very clean, fresh and invigorating with a hint of warm amber at the base. It has a kind of petrichor quality about it. I see reviews from other women saying they feel it's too masculine to pull off but I think anyone could rock this fragrance. This is going to become a daily wear for me. Also, I found that layering this with Vanille Insensee (also from atelier cologne) can really Amp up the feminity by adding that sweeter vanilla quality. These perfumes share several notes (citron/lemon, vetiver, amber, and Jasmine) that let them blend together in a really beautiful way. A similar effect could probably be made with a single note layering vanilla as well. This perfume certainly doesn't need any help, but layering it is a fun way to bring it in a slightly different direction.

The first time I tested it on paper and it smelled really nice. The second time I tried it on my wrist and suddenly I have a bad version of the scent I remembered. On one side, I smelled a harsh cedar blends with vetiver, and something a bit green and earthy (I guess it's papyrus). One the other side, I smelled sweet fruity notes. The problem was these 2 sides didn't blend together. I feel like one try to overthrow the other. The third time, which is this morning, I sprayed it on my chest and I found the amazing scent that I smelled on the first time. This one starts with cedar and citrus in a gracious way. Other notes will kick in in about 15 mins and keep the scent balance and interesting the whole time. After a few hours you will find almost only a earthy cedar left. Let the scent breath naturally through air to your nose and you will find a beautiful one.

I was too late when I madly and completely fell for this fragrance. “Too masculine,” I thought. “Too woody,” I childishly proclaimed. Now I’m at the dregs of my sample vial, in utter dismay since it’s become a favorite and it’s been discontinued (at least in the U.S.) I’ve enjoyed layering this with a couple of scents that needed some fresh woods to give it something that had been lacking. I would also dab some on my wrists on its own after an evening shower to enjoy its grounding aroma as I wind down for the night. I’m going to miss it. I’ve read a couple of comments on here about its similarity to D&G Light Blue. With a spritz and some patience while wading through its top notes, I finally get that even more with Light Blue Intense. But it’s still not Cedre Atlas.

I'm never one to shy away from controversy. I definitely get the Cedar. I love this one for it's strong personality. I love that there are just as many dislikes are there are likes. I find this one fresh and definitely more masculine in nature. EDIT: This one is my favourite out of the line. I am surprised at that since it took me months to figure this out. I thought I liked the Gold Leather, or Oud Saphir, or one of the others much more. But I was wrong. I like this one for its character. As rich and opulent as some of the others are in this line. I have found that they can become synthetically cloying to me even though I love the way the smell. This one I find leaves fresh wafts every time you move.

I was seriously worried about this fragrance, based on the reviews. But thankfully I received a sample and I decided to try it. Oh, boy... May be my skin or because I'm a guy, but this cologne is fantastic. Cedar is so common in men's fragrances, usually standing by itself or with the typical companion of vetiver, sandalwood, pepper and so on. But what a delight to smell a Cedar blending beautifully with lemon, bergamot and a delicious apricot! Harsh? NO Horrible? NO Pungent? NO The only con is that it transform into a skin scent after 20 minutes. But I'm pretty sure that during Autumn and Winter this fragrance will perform like a champion. Again, Cedar, vetiver, bergamot and apricot. Genius!

When I smelled this on paper, all I got was Pinesol, but on my skin it was a lovely woodsy, cedar-fresh scent with a nice subtle brightness from the lemon and bergamot. It just smells like going on a hike through the woods on a chilly but sunny day. I think it's perfectly unisex, but some women might not feel confident wearing it as it is a more stereotypical woodsy scent. I could still smell it very faintly when I was going to bed after I long work day, so I would say the longevity is pretty good for a fragrance of this type. Definitely considering getting a full bottle.

The apricot adds something unique and intriguing to the typical citrus-woody DNA. I don't pick up on ambroxan/musk/molecule anything that others have mentioned (and I'm sensitive to those). I also don't pick up on the black current or Jasmine. I get a pretty straight forward citrus, apricot, cedar/woody fragrance - it's straight forward, and/but it's really good. Totally unisex, year-round, office safe, easy reach. Subtle, smooth, very nice quality.

Im getting so much sour cassis, no citrus really. The wood is hiden underneath the sour cassis and is honesty a generic iso super woodyness and not what I think of being ceder. I actualy quite like this, but I do like tart scents quite a bit. This is a bit too liner and I wish the ceder note was more genuine. Its like a wood scent for people who dont like wood Its worth noting that I still can smell 2 sprays on wrist after 8 hours. ⛤⛤⛤

Upon first spritz, this fragrence blooms from a ripe citrus to a heavy wet wood scent laced with traces of bergamot and vetiver. It's brown and green, strong and natural. It puts me in mind of taking a cold hike in a ceder forest. I believe this scent is better suited for a man or a very strong woman as it isn't a delicate fragrence. The big downside is that it does dry down quickly and disapears long before you're ready to let go.

I might get some hate for this review but if you want a fruity woody scent like Aventus, without being a clone of Aventus notes, this is actually quite nice. The apricot/black currant is right in your face in the opening and I might even dare to say that I prefer the cedar over birch. Fresh, easy to wear and honestly I may like it just as much. To be clear its just a fruity wood scent, not a clone of Aventus.

Opening blast of bright citrus right off the bat, but within about 60 seconds it settles into a green, woodsy blanket of cedar. Big cedar and vetiver, but more cedar than anything. Pure cedar once it dries down. This is FRESH. Like hiking through a Lebanese cedar forest that sits above an orange grove. It's a beautiful fragrance but the performance is fairly poor and kinda pricy for that poor performance.

one of very few scents that I love but wouldnt buy. Its cedarwood freshened up to the max with atelier citrus notes. Very clean and gentle. Unfortunately, this is where the story ends. Its skin scent from start and has poor staying power, as with most scents from this house. Its sad that an excellent formula falls too short due to performance issues.

I am in love with this fragrance. It is in my top 5 of all time favorites. I think the bad reviews are because it doesn't mesh well with other people's skin. When I spray it on me, it is pure heaven. And it stays that way, all day. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I think it's probably one of the best Atelier fragrances. I even bought a bigger bottle.

A nicer version of D&G light blue except DGLB is a little bit more accessible and less expensive. Would prefer this over DGLB any day. Lasting power isn’t great but that’s on par with these types of fragrances. More meant for projection in higher heat. Very nice summer time frag, will project great. Perfectly unisex.

Okay, I love this one. Immediately I get the apricot and black currant, the juicy sweetness then dries down to a deep amber, vetiver, and faint cedar wood. Very faint citrusy notes throughout the fragrance, but not the K.O. you'd expect the Atelier. Nice overall fragrance that lasts, like longer than 12 hours.

Love love love this! Its woodsy and citrusy which are two of my favorite scent profiles - perfect for spring, summer, and daytime. Its unisex but leans a bit more masculine starting off a bit green drying down to the cedar and amber notes. Longevity is the only downside on this one, but its a great frag!

This is a woodier classier version of Sauvage Elixir minus the strong citrus that you get from Sauvage Elixir. My SO and I do not get the citrus note anywhere. Someone said mothballs? Nothing like that detected? We do get the strong cedar scent. Like in the woods on a damp day, not wet.. very autumn-ish.

Probably the most masculine offering from Atelier Cologne. This one seems a bit like low hanging fruit (I mean, how could you possibly go wrong with cedar and Iso E Super?) but I love its fresh simplicity. I get loads of compliments when I wear this.

Out of their 8 sample set, this was the only one I liked and purchased a bottle. This one is very cedar (a la Iso-E) and ambroxan-heavy, citrusy, and slightly sweet. It has an airy, astringent (clean), and crisp feeling to it.

Crisp. Clinically bright. Casually confident, clean and unique. A great office companion. Cèdre Atlas oozes professionalism. Might come off as playful but not openly seductive.

This is a stripped down slightly more masculine and modern D&G Light Blue. For high heat and versatility this one is a real winner. Get it if you can

I love it , it’s really balsamic on the dry dow(cedar so concentrate that almost burn your nostrils +sparkly apricot)

What if....now hear me out. What if I can’t smell it??

Cedre Atlas is a simple yet well blended fragrance. On first spritz of this, I was greeted with an astringent blast of alcohol followed by sharp sour citruses. Soon after the fresh apricot note kicked in adding a bit of sweetness in contrast to the sourness of the citruses. At this stage I was reminded a bit of Light Blue by D&G and even more so, I was reminded of CK Be, a fragrance I owned a few years ago. I think the association with CK Be is because of the apricot/peach note. This isn't a dead ringer for either and for me Cedre Atlas is more enjoyable and better composed. I think that the cedar backed up by the vetiver and papyrus is the main player in this fragrance (At least on my skin it is). The cedar isn't a pencil shaving type of cedar. The interplay between the three notes makes this composition more of a woody than a citrusy fragrance, especially in the dry down as it evolves into an earthy, bitter, peppery, clean scent. This stage reminds me of fragrances like Bvlgari Man/Extreme, Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir and Cartier's Eau de Cartier line of fragrances. It's a bit transparent but performs really well on my skin for an EDC. I don't get huge projection but I can detect it on me without having to stick my nose in it. I also get decent longevity so far, about 5 hrs give or take. This is a good fragrance overall but nothing special or ground breaking. I see it as a higher end version of the fragrances mentioned above. I can see it as unisex but leans a bit more masculine because of the dry woody base IMO. It'll do well in the office or at any high end casual mixer. This will complement someone in a floral/tropical shirt and shorts on vacation in an Mediterranean or Caribbean sea side town or resort. I feel like wafts of salty sea air will be a definite compliment to this fragrance. This is an easy wear and a solid like for me.

At the initial spray, and for about the first 10 minutes, this smells almost exactly like D&G Light Blue for women. After that the citrus fades into the background and the cedar note comes out. It's a very linear, slightly more masculine cedar---Just like the cedar planks you would hang in your closet, or like opening a cedar chest. I can't believe how it went from smelling like Light Blue to a cedar chest--but I like it! This scent is very different...on my skin it starts out more feminine and then transforms into a more masculine cold, woody fragrance. It completely morphs from one scent into a second scent, the start is nothing like the finish. At initial spray I thought this was nothing unique, just a Light Blue dupe. I should also add that when I wear D&G Light Blue I don't pick up any cedar. I found that this lasted quite a while on me, and I could smell it on my jacket the next day. Because Cedre Atlas starts out citrus and goes to wood, I think this could be worn in any season. Glad I sampled this, may consider purchasing in the future.

Imagine Antonio Banderas Secret Temptation for Men and Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue for Women hooked up and gave birth to a love child... It's name is Cedre Atlas by Atelier. This really brings the two together -- cedar/ISO-e Super, bright citrus, fruity sweetness and a touch of florals -- into something I can easily imagine anyone pulling off, man or woman, young or young at heart. It's a not-so-serious but seriously inviting, friendly scent that's both super fresh and inoffensive. When I tested this, I also happened to test the "new" BDC Parfum, one on each hand -- and I gotta tell you, I was absolutely floored at how much longer this one continued to radiate off my skin, as a true arm's length projection! BDCP on the other hand, was really a letdown -- but that's another story for another day. Strong like. Would be a love if not for the price. If I could get ABST for a tenth of the cost, or DGLBW for maybe a quarter, why on Earth would I shell out the bucks for something almost identical?

OK I'm gonna make a couple of really odd comparisons here, but just hear me out.. .. The opening of this fragrance is pretty expected, but what I DIDN'T expect, is well into the drydown, there's an amazing cleanliness to this! To me, the scent reminds me of two things: 1) the skin-scent left behind after using Irish Spring, a while after the scent has calmed down. 2) the left-behind aroma of a clean bathroom (or kitchen sink) after using Comet cleanser, after everything has fully dried and you're marveling upon your freshly cleaned domicile. Don't get me wrong, this stuff doesn't smell like "bathroom cleaner and overly-fragranced soap" but it is clean and pleasing, and I'm just doing my best to compare it to an everyday aroma or feeling. Longevity is fair for what I expected of this cologne, and I swear the longer it goes on, the more I like it even as it fades away. I could see myself owning a bottle of this.

An initial blast of cedar and then it's all ambroxan (or iso-super-e or whatever it is) and what smells like grapefruit though I guess it's the lemon/lime. Definitely shades of Light Blue here but with a TON of ambroxan. Intellectually I don't think this is a particularly good perfume - it's not interesting, it relies too much one one ingredient - but... I actually enjoy it! I also, against my better judgment, like JHaG's Not a Perfume which is nothing *but* ambroxan so I guess I'm just a sucker for this particular molecule. To be fair Cedre Atlas at least has some other things going on that support the ambroxan, giving it a juicier quality (from the fruits) along with an airy, woody quality (the cedar and possibly the papyrus). To me this seems to be a crowd pleaser but it's probably a bit boring if you have a more educated nose.

Opens with a sweet citrus and immediately and very clearly a "blue" scent. Very nice how the citrus doesn't come off sharp at all. I'm guessing it's from the black currant and apricot. The fruits and jasmine also help to smooth out the woody-ness of the vetiver and cedar. I've never smelled papyrus, so I'm not sure I can detect it in this. The amber is more of an afterthought but becomes more apparent on dry-down. A nice non-fruity sweetness added to probably also help make the vetiver not so overpowering. I'd saying this scent is really well rounded. Everything seems to get front and center at some point, but without punching you in the nose. This smells like a very expensive/high end body wash for men, which I'd say is definitely a good thing. I'd say in the same range (but below) Bleu de Chanel.

Icy, fresh citrusy and agrumes notes coming like a bouquet upon the first spray. The cedar is perfectly balanced, bringing enough dimension. Very clean overall, beautiful dry-down that keeps me smelling my wrists! And very pleasant on warm skin... Hard for me to categorize if I’d wear it during an icy winter or an early morning during a hot Mediterranean summer. Perfectly unisex. Reminds me of Hermes Citron Noir without the smoke and leather notes. Pricing point is between ok and little overpriced to me, wished it lasted longer. I can see the comparison to D&G Light Blue, but this cologne is another level and far better, with a real projection. ___ Projection, sillage, longevity : 8/10 Originality, presentation : 4,5/10 Quality, value : 7,5/10 7/10

This is an incredibly realistic, cool, woodsy scent. Typically, with cool wood scents, there's far too much pine thrown in, making it smell like a Christmas tree. This cologne doesn't do that; instead, it creates the imagery of walking on a cold afternoon through English cedar woods. The faintly fruity notes of apricot and black currant are not noticeable on their own, but together are the slight warmth that makes the cologne still stay on the happier side. The scent is introspective, quiet, and wearable as a daytime or nighttime scent. It is slightly too woodsy for it to be an everyday scent for me, but this is definitely good in a small bottle to collect for an occasion or when you're in that mood.

Smells like a man. Not "unisex" at all. I don't like this. Wearing in the Summer at night time '18 ***UPDATE*** December 2018 Not at all a go-to, a surprising LIKE! Smelling this from the bottle I gave it an immediate “dislike” then kept this bottle unused. A year ot two later needed some air freshener so sprayed this not knowing what to expect... and it’s a surprising LIKE! Refreshing fresh scent!!! pleasantly zesty without being masculine. Too shrill to be masc a bit aquatic but pleasantly works even in the Winter. Strangely for the summer I think I’d hate this. But the rememberance of such warm aquatic times is of The ut- most welcome now (Dec. 27th). Cheerful hopeful delirious & fresh

What a gorgeous mix of lemon, cedar, vetiver and berries. Not a heavy woods scent as might be expected from the name, but more of an airy, fresh, summery and slightly fruity concoction with added Iso-E Super. Opening with lemon and blackcurrant, this one gives way to sweet, somewhat muted cedar with hints of apricot in the heart and ends on a base of vetiver and white musk. Very clean and smooth, but I do not detect any amber as listed. Great for summertime and casual days. Unfortunately, performance is poor in both projection ending at the two hour mark as well as longevity which - as a skinscent - lasts approximately an hour or two more. Scent rating : 8/10 Performance rating : 4/10

I was in notino store and smelled a sample of this perfume. Wow! Cedar and papyrus, unique! Then I tried it on skin and just couldn't stop inhaling it on my wrist. Unique papyrus - dry (maybe also because of the vetiver) and tangible. The citrus was weak at first and disappeared quickly. But then.. oh my dear. The next day I bought a 100ml bottle, I immediately used it and.. APRICOT! A lot, lot of apricot, palpable, nose bumping, feminine, masking everything else. It took more than an hour and a half for the dry papyrus I was waiting for to appear on a cedar base. I guess the batches are different. I'm super happy and disappointed at the same time. Still, 4/5!

I like this scent on others, but evergreen wood scents like this are often at odds with my skin. I had hoped the citrus and jasmine would cut the ceder enough for us to get along, but I found Cedre Atlas ever-present and overwhelming. This, and others I've tried from this line, also seem very much on the masculine side to me. I got the little Collection Azur set from Sephora, and can only wear the Magnolia. The others I gave to my husband. They're all very potent and long-lasting, and this one is especially so. One spritz on my wrist transferred a little to my sweater sleeve, which kept the fragrance right up to laundry day.

To me this smells like fresh pine trees, standing in a forest with the wind blowing! It's a very transportive fragrance and makes me think of what a white Christmas would smell like, I live in Australia. The top notes of bergamot and lemon are very prominent making it a fresh, more masculine scent. Personally I like to pair this one with purely vanilla fragrances to make it creamier and softer, as it can be a harsh scent. Overall the longevity is around 6 hours for me personally and you don't need much of the fragrance to experience it:)

I would call this fragrance "cute." It's a round and fruity floral, undercut by a woody, musky scent. There is something sneakily synthetic running through it, however, which turns the charm off a bit. It's not complex enough to turn heads, but you can tell that it wants to be special (but isn't fully there). I would wear Tocca Stella instead for my go-to "nonchalantly good-smelling" citrus vibe, which gives the bright, playful energy you want and doesn't attempt (therefore doesn't fail) to be any more complex than that.

I get mostly cedar with this so it is accurately named. A very natural type of cedar (even if it isn't ) who knows. The blackcurrant note is the next most prominent note to me. It is like an expensive version of seduction in black by AB. This is more linear and the cedar here is stronger. I think it is dry where AB seems juicy. Maybe the papyrus notes are doing this. Over all I like how fresh and uplifting this is. Tried 3 times and I always got the same result. They ain't shy about their prices however

As a fan of Atelier cologne I had to blind buy the travel sprays they offer. Not a let down but not as good as I was hoping for. Huge hit of citrus and cedar, black currant doing some hard work too. I found it a little harsh to wear but my wife and people are me tough it was amazing. On the back of my hand I do not see a connection much at all with Light Blue. I’ve got no plans to buy a full bottle of it. But the little 10ml tubes they offer make for a great emergency cologne I keep in the car.

on my skin, doesnt really feel earthy or woodsy. first spray - sharp, sterile, alcohol really comes through. like im in the lab, im the experiment. a little wet, metallic, goes well next to my silver jewelry. the alcohol evaporates and i'm left with a very parchment, papyrus-y scent. like a glossy magazine, or old worn out book on that shelf in that lab. not fruity at all, i dont get a lot of sweetness. what i think an old, unopened chemistry textbook would smell like. really great.

Beautiful woody fragrance. The cedar is really the star of the show here with some vetiver and citrus fruits behind it, I don't really get the jasmine though. Got it for my now-ex partner last Christmas and I maybe perhaps might have stolen quite a few sprays from it for myself, it just smells so cozy and nice. Yall think it smells like Light Blue?? Its been a while since I've smelled that one but I may need to compare side by side next time I go into Sephora

Nice fragrance it’s blended well and it’s loud as well. I pickup woody and citrus nuances and sweetness that gives off a fizzy vibe mixing with the citruses. I kind of get a tart strawberry accord in this fragrance as well. Scent profile: To me Cedre atlas straight up smells like paco rabanne black XS but better composition. I also get this vibe about it think of Coca-Cola with lemon and the rind of the lemon swimming in the glass with the cola.

Cedre Atlas smells nice, but it's a bit of a letdown because of the synthetic woody accord that is so common these days. The opening is cheerful with fruity accords and backed up by faux woods; this is the best part as later, the fruits do die down and that is when the woody accord intensifies and it starts to get too synthetic for my liking. It's ok, but so overdone. All in all, a nice woody/fruity fragrance. 6.5/10

Very fruity in the opening, and then the cedarwood comes out and it becomes very dry and woody. Definitely unisex and versatile, but it might have benefited from some stronger notes to give it more oomph. On the other hand, its lightness allows it to be worn even in the hottest weather. A pleasantly woodsy scent, I know I'll get some use out of my sample but probably won't be buying a full bottle.

EDIT: This is some potent stuff. I washed my hands at least three times since I put this on my hand, and it's still projecting. WoW!!! So I just stepped into Sephora before I went to get food for lunch and decided to spray this on. I must say, this is a very nice scent. Not something I need at the moment, but maybe I'll buy the little travel vile they sell at Sephora in a week or two. Not bad!

Light Blue Lumberjack, by Chainsaw & Gabbana. Opens with a splash of lemony cassis tea, then peaches. Twenty minutes in the cedar develops, spectacular sweet woody pines--summer forest floor with wild berries, rather than winter yule tree--that lasts an inch above the skin all day. The amber and vetiver on the bottom are very sheer, and surprisingly faint on clothing. It's actually quite nice.

Beautiful, balanced, bright. Just as much any note as the other, the entire journey from opening to dry down is just the epitome of California Coast Luxury. I've been wearing in both dry 100 degree heat and extremely humid 90 degree east coast weather.. More ozonal/ fresh take on Ceder which is usually mixed with sandalwood and heavy accords... perfectly crisp and lasts for HOURS.
