Pacific Lime

Pacific Lime is a bright, fun scent from a house that is known for making great citrus forward scents. The problem with this line is that they all burn out quickly, which is the nature of the compositions. And to make matters more difficult, most Ateliers are colognes, so a lower concentration of the notes and accords. Then there’s the price, you’re going to pay a lot for that short lived cologne. So although I have no issue with scents that have a short life span, (see my rave reviews for the Aqua Allegoria’s from Guerlain), I don’t want to pay a premium. All of the Aqua Allegorias can easily be found on the grey market so I think of them more as body sprays. So when I got a sample of Pacific Lime, I wasn’t expecting much based on my previous experience with the brand. I’m not sure how this was accomplished or who to specifically thank, but the perfumer managed to make this not only a beautiful citrus scent, but one that has very good performance. I’m gettting more than two hours before turning to a skin scent. Then I’m getting another hour or so before it disspaears. I agree there’s some similarities as others have pointed out to Lemon Verde, another scent I love. But Pacific Lime is bigger, fuller and more interesting with the addition of coconut and eucalyptus, which I’m going to credit with giving this scent running legs. PS: Disregard my comments above about “cologne”. I feel like a big dummy as that is just part of the company name.

LUSH LIME & CAMPHOR. Opens with a burst of minty lemon-lime that transitions into a fruity heart punctuated by a camphor note, resting on a woody coconut base. Has a watery, succulent sweet. minty & fruity quality that's all cut by the camphor-eucalyptus note. Average performance for a light summer wearing experience. Contrast to Light Blue Dolce&Gabbana: These have been compared, but I find them quite different. LB has a whispering citrus quality of light, fluffy, floaty musk punctuated by a cold lemon citrus note, while PL is more lush, minty & fruity lime punctuated by a camphor note. Roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua Tom Ford: These are different, but there are similarities with fruity, minty citrus punctuated by a camphor note. MdA has mandarin instead of lime. Roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to Mango Peach Paradise Calgon Body Spray: These are different, but again there are similarities with fruity citrus punctuated by a camphor note. MPP is more fruit forward and has mango punctuated by camphor, instead of lime punctuated by camphor. MPP projects better at first, but PL has better longevity. Overall: Beautiful scent profile and a nice twist with the camphor note. This is the perfect scent to wear for a pacific paradise vibe. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Just received my blind-bought bottle (the ateliercologne.com site takes ages to ship, and they screwed up a previous order). Let me state first what this is NOT like: This is not like Virgin Island Water (no real detectable coconut scent), Guerlain Homme l'Eau Boisee nor Guerlain Homme(no vetiver or spiciness). It actually reminds me somewhat of Lagerfeld Bois de Vetiver (blood orange, mint). But this is much better than Bois de Vetiver. It is a lime focused fragrance...a sweet lime like key limes. The spearmint and eucalyptus add a cool green vibe to it. I can also sense grapefruit, some lemon and some unknown floral accents. It is unisex...and generally while I am ok with the term unisex, I do think that unisex is a spectrum, and a scent can lean more feminine or masculine. That being said, this is one of the few scents that I think straddles the term unisex! There are notes that can fall on either side. The floral notes tend feminine, but the mint and lime lean more masculine. It is definitely a summer sunshine scent though (as I am wearing it in -3C winter weather). Sillage is average (good), and I will update with longevity. It is a wonderful pleasant scent. Definitely a great addition to the Atelier library, and I think one of their better scents.

I refer to fragrances like this "rich b*tch" fragrances, because I would keep reapplying them if I was rich to keep the beautiful top notes going all day. The opening is SO, so good. It's just subLIME (hehe)! Honestly, it's one of the best openings I've experienced in recent times. I'll parrot what others have said - this doesn't have good longevity unfortunately. It's the only drawback. After about 20 minutes the coconut begins to take over, and it stays sweetly coconutty for the remainder of the duration. I also get almost as much lemon too, it's super delicious. Atelier truly is masterful with their citruses, they're bright and juicy, but not overly sweet, they still keep some of their zestiness. From 30 minutes until about an hour and a half, it feels like equal parts mint and coconut. It's really difficult to explain, but something about this is incredibly relaxing. It smells expensively simplistic too, like a high-end resort (or how I imagine that to be, I haven't been to one). I wish it didn't fade so quickly, because like Clémentine California, I really love this citrusy composition. I think I love CC a bit more still, but this is lovely! 🏖

Oh I absolutely love this fragrance! A very fresh citrus opening, very clear lime and a bit of lemon! That opening lasts about an hour and then it starts to shift to a creamier scent with coconut, and yet it remains fresh because of the mint and eucalyptus notes. It is slightly sweet, and makes me think of a refreshing drink by the sea. I am one that loves fresh scents, and living in the tropics I dont find myself enjoying many fragrances, cause it is so hot and humid. On top of that I suffer from migraines so I have to be careful about what I smell. This doesn't give me a headache nor does it make me feel nauseaus. Fresh citrus opening! In fact, I tried most of the Atelier Cologne fragrances in the Macy's counter, and none gave me a headache. Normally even smelling 1 or 2 different perfumes is enough to leave me dizzy for an entire day, but these fragrances were different. My other faves are Pomelo Paradis and California Clementine, but I don't have full size bottles of those two sadly. The only negative thing is that the silage is a bit weak, but then again I am wearing perfume for myself, not for others.

It lasts on myself ALL day and then some. Even if I don’t smell it - I will walk past my husband HOURS after putting it on and he says “what is that you are wearing - it is nice”. It is one of the few that I can pick up on my clothing when I grab laundry to wash or grab my jacket. I don’t spray perfume on my clothing so this is picked up from me wearing the scent. I’m not sure why folks say it isn’t long lasting unless it really depends on body chemistry. The scent is so well blended that I don’t pick out lime or coconut individually. I do sense it to be all balanced together perfectly. It is tropical and sunny and different from any other scent that I own. It does NOT dry down with that spicy typical Atelier drydown which is kinda masculine on myself. It stays bright and true to the initial impression of the scent. I love the slight sweetness also and the fact that there is no musk - at least on myself. LOVE it and this year I grabbed the special they ran over the holidays where you received a free small spray bottle with your order. Now I’m stocked up! Wish they would make it in a lotion.

Wow these reviews are really all over the place as they often are. I completely agree with kpop_stan this doesn't give me lime or citrus but tropical fruit salad. Eucalyptus? Nope. It is fun and sweet and leaning feminine due to the level of fruity sweetness it has. The name doesn't match but the pink bottle does. It is a little heavy on the sweetness for me for summer heat but I enjoy wearing it in cooler weather as a pick me up when I am missing summer. I am sure a lot of people could handle it in the heat...I am just one of those extra sensitive ones! Update: I just tried it again to try to find the lime. There is definitely a zingy quality to it that could be identified as a citrus but it could also easily be interpreted as green mango zingyness as well. It is really well blended in there making it much more than just a lime or citrus scent. That zingy quality is only there for the opening, after that you are just left with the sweet fruity scent. A fun fruity scent that isn't too juvenille feeling but still easy going and playful.

Possibly my favorite scent of all time; this is truly a breath of fresh air. I love citrus scents but feel that they often risk going either too sugary sweet or overwhelmingly musky, like they need to overcompensate for themselves. If that's a problem for you as well, Pacific Lime is so unabashedly citrus!!! The lime and lemon notes, mint, and eucalyptus are deliciously refreshing and the coconut facilitates their combination wonderfully. This is bright and beautiful and makes me smile upon spraying it. Very unisex in my opinion and it also feels versatile with regards to setting and occasion. This might just be me, but this scent takes on a fun mysterious vibe when you wear it at night. Unfortunately this fragrance is very subtle, (I've gone through like five small bottles of this stuff) but it lasts pretty long on clothes! If this fragrance smells like cleaning products to you, then I have to ask, what cleaning products are you using??? I'm going to need my own

Absolutely delicious!! Get ready with your tie-dyed dress, long earrings, strappy sandals, and head straight to the summer pool party! Too distractingly beautiful for work though, unless it is an organizing meeting for the next Brazilian carnival... Coconut water and assorted berries come to me first. Lime and a hint of bamboo leaves at the background give an elegant touch. Unlike most detergent-lime scent at the foreground which spoils everything. The scent makes you 'think' of coconut but not overpouring liters of coconut milk on you. Just like giving you 'pina' and you'll fill in 'colada'. Great for coconut lovers who want to try some 'metaphysical' coconut! :D No doubt it's great for summer but also great for all year round, due to the sweet and textured berries. Best sillage and longevity in the citrus line of Atelier Cologne. I own a 30ml travel size with a leather case now. I will definitely get a 200ml asap. :) A Barbados beauty, so Rihanna.

I walked past Atelier Cologne one day and got whacked in the face by an enormous gust of grapefruit. I ran my errands and went back to Atelier Cologne to ask what it was because it just smelled so delicious. It's almost gourmand-ish if not for the zesty lime notes. This scent makes me so happy and is my perfect go-to daytime summer scent. It's sweet, citrusy and fruity all at the same time - definitely the sweetest out of al the citrus perfumes from the house in my opinion (I also own/owned Orange Sanguine, Bergamote Soleil, and Clementine California). It dries down sweeter and a little muskier (but not heavy) once it loses the citrus notes after 1-2 hours. A bit linear, but I still love it very much. In terms of longevity this does perform the worst out of all the perfumes I own from Atelier Cologne, but the scent itself is so amazing that I'll keep buying it over and over again.

Opening is sharp citrus. Sweet and tart at the same time. I get more lemon than lime. Even kind of smells like a blood orange a little bit. And a hint of the leafy green eucalyptus. Middle has a nice clean and fresh feel. I mostly pick up on the eucalyptus and some general citrus notes. Not really any one in particular, but probably closest to something like lemon zest. Light mint too. It reminds me of an outdoor day spa on a sunny day in the shade with a gentle breeze. The dry down is still fresh, relaxing, and citrusy. Hard to pick up on any single note, but reminiscent of clean clothes and sunshine. Actually gets a bit fruity at the end. Projects for several hours. A really great fragrance overall. Very pleasant. An easy recommendation. Hard to imagine anyone being put off by it, especially during the spring and summer. Perfectly unisex.

Wow wow wow! This is the best smelling and performing citrus fragrance my nose has come across. This starts out in Mexico and it’s hot outside. I grab a lime and zest the rind for a cocktail. I use a juicer to release the precious nectar trapped in the lime flesh. There is something fresh and tart and sweet all at the same time when you press limes. Delicious! There is lemon in here too, you got to have the duo! This makes for an ultra fresh top that is concentrated and dripping with refreshment. The coconut comes in and gives a lactonic tropical vibe, my cocktail’s scene is now set up. Finally there is an aromatic wind that comes from the mint and eucalyptus, what a surprise! Even though I see no wood notes, I do get a ever so slight wood scent with the lasting creaminess of the coconut. This is a beautiful juice!

One of my absolute favorites. Can’t beat this scent for summertime. However, lasting power is horrible. Performs like a body mist. I have to reapply every hour or so to keep it up. This would bother me if I had paid full price, but I got a discounted bottle so I can’t complain. Regardless, it’s worth it to me to reapply because I love the scent so much. Was shocked to see mint as a note in this. considering how few notes are in it, you’d think something like mint would be easy to pick up on, but I can’t smell it at all. All I really get is the coconut and lime with a bit of fresh sweetness. Wouldn’t recommend unless you love coconut and lime and are willing to sacrifice longevity and performance for the sake of summertime fruity cocktail deliciousness.

What can be said about Pacific Lime, except for its beautiful simplicity and joyful scent profile. This is probably one of my favourite lime fragrances I’ve come across, but to be fair there aren’t loads of lime-forward scents to choose from. The bright, refreshing and zingy nature of the lime is joined by a juicy and rindy lemon which blend perfectly together. A touch of clean eucalyptus brings a soft soapiness to the scent, whilst creamy coconut and a tiny touch of mint whisk you away to tropical lands unknown. Despite the simplicity of this scent, I really enjoy it. It’s one of those fragrances that’s so enjoyable to wear and lifts your mood instantly, I can imagine this working amazingly well in the scorching heat of the summer.

Another example of skewed reviews... Simple acidic Lime opening softens to be the peak on top of a sweet but not syrupy lemon body. The sweetness assisted by coconut (as in a confectionary rather than coconut flesh) at nose to skin and an airiness assisted by mint (and eucalyptus nose to skin) that can be smelled easily if someone next to you was wearing it. It has ok sillage and longevity - not in the realm of say Cedrat Enivronment which is super sharp and strong. In a nut shell it delivers exactly as per the note table. Read other reviews if you wish to be misled. Great summer freshie - almost a laundry scent except gourmand.

The odds were stacked against them from the start. According to statistics on the "divorce love to know" website, only 3 percent of men actually marry the "other woman", and from those 3 percent, only 75 percent of those actually stay married. Lets hope they can keep it together another couple years. At least until Pacific Lemon, or Pacific Ice get created and come out. Maybe L'Oreal has a way to force them to stay happy? God this is a great "lime" scent. With so many other facets to the notes that come out. What a great citrus, summer, fresh scent! I love this! I am noticing that it is not turning sour on me which is perfect.

I've never tried a lime perfume before but once I smelled this I was obsessed. I am a big fan of fresh floral scents and this really fits my type for perfumes. It is a really nice fresh and crisp summer scent. I would say this scent leans more on the feminine side but I could see it work as a unisex perfume and maybe even good for layering. This scent reminds me of mojitos due to the lime and mint. I found that it doesn't really linger that much on the skin and it doesn't really jump out at you like other scents. Tbf, I did buy it in November and wore it around that time so maybe it will perform better in the summer.

I just love how citrusy, juicy, mouthwatering and zesty this fragrance is! Even though not listed, I get a realistic interpretation of grapefruit peel right after spraying. Around 10 minutes later, Pacific Lime becomes more shampooy and it starts smelling very similar to L’Impératrice by Dolce&Gabbana. Longevity is great, I can still smell the fragrance on my clothes the next day. To me, this is a fun and carefree fragrance, perfect for a vacation in a hot climate. Even though marketed as unisex, I can imagine that it is more appreciated by women due to the shampoo undertones, similar to Garnier Fructis.

I haven’t sprayed one of my favorites (D&G light blue) in a while but when I tried pacific lime that’s what I was reminded of. They aren’t exactly the same but I love both so much. Clean, refreshing citrus. I wouldn’t say it’s sweet but on me it does have a sweetness. The coconut isn’t there at all but I think it’s just acting as a “balancer” to the other scents, kind of how you add salt to a dish to bring out other flavors, not to necessarily make the dish salty. Doesn’t last long but it did a lot better with some Shea butter laid down on my skin first and I can still smell it on me after 5 hours

I love citrus perfumes so when I saw this on Sephora website I blind bought a travel spray. This is a wonderful sweet lime scent no coconut shows up on my skin and this is different from other Atelier colognes featuring lime. This cologne is one of my favorites and I will be buying a big size bottle! This scent is refreshing to wear out of shower in morning! It projects about arms length for first hour on me then slowly fades to skin scent lasting about 4-6 hours depending on my activities (heat makes it disappear faster.) I highly recommend this cologne if you love limes like me.

Fragrance Journal Entry #190 If you're a fan of super crisp and bright citrus scents then this is for you. This is about as uplifting as it gets. It has this photorealistic lime note that mixes beautifully with mint, has a slight herbacious feel, don't pick up on much coconut but i think that's a good thing in this case. It has a slight feminine lean but anybody could wear this in the summer. On a hot day it doesn't get much better than this, Soooo good. Longevity is actually better than most Atelier fragrances. Rating: 8.5/10 Blind Buy Safe? YES

Oh, how I love this cooling fragrance with its incredible freshness... clean, tropical, and completely flower‐free. And yet I don’t perceive it as a typical summer, commercial perfume at all. The lime here isn’t chemical - it smells more like a freshly cut fruit. And the coconut is green, the kind that hasn’t had time to turn sugary yet. A soft menthol breeze floats around the whole composition, like the wind of the Pacific. It’s a scent that breathes freedom and tropical sunlight - one that never gets old.

I LOVE this scent, it’s a 10/10 for me. It is the femenine version of Pacific Rock Moss, which to me smells like lemon with honey on a beach beside a forest. This smells like a mojito on the beach, but better. Feminine and sexy. It’s a shame it lasts only an hour on my skin. I’m thinking of buying it, since I only have a small tester, but the longevity issue throws me off. But then again, as a skin scent could work... Oh, the scent is sooooo delicious on my skin, I can’t stop sniffing.

I loved this scent! It really reminds me of Killian's Vodka on the Rocks (but for half the price). It's a spicy, citrusy scent. The lime comes through immediately, along with a 'cologne-y' scent (I need to work on my nose, because I can never pinpoint what I'm trying to say). Overall, it really does smell like lime. I didn't pick up on the coconut scent that others have noted. It was lime mixed with a more masculine note. Sillage wasn't great, nor was longevity. Definitely unisex, imo.

This is the best lime fragrance I've ever smelled. It's very uplifting. I went to Sephora to check out the Orange Sanguine, but I was so drawn to this one. I can't figure out which one I love more, because they are both very uplifting, and is the only reason I wear fragrances. I'm not going to discuss longevity because it's all been said before.I prefer this lime fragrance over Virgin Island Water, but that's just a personal preference. Juicy and fresh! I put this in the same realm as Poeme de Sagano and am happy I've found this one because I hadn't pulled the trigger on that FB just yet. Poeme has a slightly more vegetal/grassy-ness to it but they're genuinely surprisingly comparable beyond that. As others have stated, longevity isn't much to write home about, but I can still detect this as a skin-scent ~7hours after application. Awesome scent for Spring/Summer. 🍋🟩🌿

I don't normally like scents that remind me of candy, but this is an exception! It's an unexpected comparison, but this does subtly remind me of hard, sour candies, especially in the opening. It's sharp in a way that isn't headache-inducing, turns a little bit green/leafy after a few minutes, and is just all around just a really pleasant scent. This is a very fun, playful citrus to me. I think it'll be very refreshing in the summer!

Beautiful scent. However the composition is to me closer to watermelon/raspberry than lime. I guess it’s the combination of lime, coconut and eucalyptus. Not tried the Guerlain mentioned below. But very mouthwatering and fresh. Groundbreaking? No. It could be something out from Lacoste - which isn’t a bad thing. Edit: Tried the Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea salt today. They are kind of similar, but I’d prefer Jo Malone. Less “sticky”.

Man, this scent is so uplifting! Such a mood booster. The lime is sparkling. I don’t smell much the coconut but instead there’s this bubble gummy note that’s so persistent. I don’t know if it’s just me but it’s strong and I quite like it. I can also smell some pomelo but maybe it’s just the lime. So tart that is so mouthwatering. This is perfect for spring and definitely summer. One of the best from Atelier. I love it.

Really love this fragrance. It reminds me somewhat of Creed's Virgin Island Water with a really prominent, photorealistic lime, but it doesn't have the same sweet, creamy coconut of Virgin Island Water. Quite unisex and a great cocktail hour sort of fragrance that I could see suiting a lot of people. The eucalyptus adds just the slightest edge to it, keeping it from being pure mojito-y sweetness. Really refreshing.

220 It’s everything you’d want in a lime fragrance: realistic, zesty, tart, fresh, delicious...I love it. It doesn’t have that fake cleaning lime smell. I just wish it lasted longer. Also, I don’t detect coconut and I wish coconut was noticeable, but I guess it must add some sweetness to this scent without being sweet, if that makes sense... 9/10-So good in the heat!!! Great in hair and fabric...

I am in love! As I read the name and the notes of this frag, I was expecting something really fresh. I was surprised that it was actually really sweet and pretty. I think the coconut really rounds out the citrus and gives the frag a softness. Definitely more of a feminine frag tho. It reminds me of something I used to wear in my late-teens and early-twenties.

Oh yesss!!!! one of the best citrus scents I have tried, its absolutely beautiful, its bright, crisp, fresh and somewhat YUMMY!intial spray, its very invigorating then eventually settles down to a lovely addictive citrus, coconut, lemony smell, nothing is too sweet or too sharp! this is atelier version of aventus! surely this will be a MASSIVE success! 9/10

Right at first whiff, this took me back to my childhood in the Philippines. The lime and coconut blended together comes off crisp and creamy at the same time and it actually reminds me of the detergent they use in the PI. So I had to have the biggest bottle. I wore it literally everyday for a whole summer. Amazing and nostalgic for me.

I know a lot of the reviews below don’t get the coconut, but it’s really projecting on me at the 30 minute mark. This fragrance smells like a cocktail - fruity, creamy and fresh. The lime is so zesty. I’m not usually a fan of fruity or citrus scents, but this is one of my favourites. Pity it doesn’t last that long!

This is my favorite, along with Vanille Insensee, from this brand. To me this is such a different take on "beach/summer vacation/tropical" and I think it works for day or evening. It does seem to fade faster than other Atelier offerings, but I might also just be used to it on me at this point and not noticing it.

This is The Lime Fragrance. A freshly juiced lime muddle with mint in the perfect mojito. The minty sweetness reminds me of Saint Julep by Imaginary Authors, but this one is more citrus forward. The coconut blends really well on the drydown and makes it quite creamy and bright. Juicy and spectacular!

So delicious, smells like a fresh, juicy, sour lime. Incredible fresh citrus scent with a bit of sweetness. Perfect for summertime. One of my favourite citrusy fragrances of all time. Only downside is longevity is quite poor. I only get 2-3 hours of noticeable wear before it becomes a skin scent.

Oooh wooow this is a delicious mouth watering realistic lime . I was never really big on citrus ..until I smelt this ! 😍 I mostly just get lime but I could see how the mint could be in the background with everything else . Lasts long and leaves a nice scent trail on my skin and clothes 🥰

Very much like Aqua Allegoria Limon Verde, but I like this better as it comes off as even more realistic. I get no noticeable notes here other than zesty lime, and the drydown is better than typical Atelier, that signature base scent is subdued. One of the best zesty limes out there.

This definitely leans feminine. It’s a love but can’t wear. Gave it to my girlfriend and it’s now one of her favorites. The best female citrus on the market. Only issue is the longevity. Lasts on my skin for less than 2 hours and disappears. Rating: 7/10 (longevity is the worst)

This is fresh and fun, like a glass of cold, sweet lemonade decorated with mint leaves. It's not super zesty, more aromatic than anything else. It's perfect for those hot summer days, when most fragrances feel cloying. Might be my favorite out of the citrus line.

OMG!!! I effing LOVE this!!! It's probably the very best citrus scent I've ever experienced and I love citrus so that's saying A LOT. So many citrus scents are too sharp, but this is neither sharp nor sweet, but perfectly balanced. It's like a smile in a vial!!

Smooth creamy lime, not a sharp tangy lime. Hints of coconut which is probably taking the edge off the lime. Very pleasant, refreshing, and versatile. Feels like I'm on vacation on a sunny caribbean island. Love it. Scent: 8.5 / Sillage: 6.5 / Longevity: 6.5

This has become an easy delightful reach for me in these warmer months in the north. I love the sweet airy lime and it instantly lifts my mood. I feel like I just want to drown myself in oversprays of this and I don’t know why! 😂

beautiful summer scent, perfect for beach or pool days if you’re crazy like me and still wear a fragrance. bright, sunny lime that eventually warms up a bit in the dry down, but stays light and bright enough for summer :)

Absolutely divine! The mint really comes through for me and it’s perfection for summer. When you first spritz It almost has a cooling sensation. It’s tart and yummy and feels like i just had a mojito. 10/10

I love this so much! A very juicy lime and lemon combo. Straight to the point, simple, and fresh. I wish I got some of that mint but I am still content with what I have. Lasting power could also be better.
