Hora Fugit

Devastatingly beautiful aromatic woody scent from this little known French house. The perfume opens with aromatic notes of bay leaf, lavender and bergamot. The heart is an earthy vetiver surrounded by sandalwood, cedar and patchouli. The base is all benzoin mostly surrounded by slight hints of leather and nutmeg. It feels like it’s name of escaped time spent on lazy vacations in exotic places. Unisex masculine leaning with moderate to strong sillage and projection and good longevity. Enjoy!

Spot on review by @Sterling T. Although listed as unisex, I believe that it leans more towards the masculine side. That being said, it would be comforting snuggling up to the man wearing this fragrance ☆♤☆

Hora Fugit is beautiful, sweet and sexy with a bit of smoke which is very nice...camphorous bay leaf which makes you feel alive...and a lovely lineup of spices. The woods are deep...the cedar is prominent, sandalwood softens and melds the wood notes... as well as, the benzoin with a heartstring pulling twist of vanilla/amber. Great longevity and a powerful, alluring sillage that will draw others in. You will not be able to stop sniffing yourself and others will ask what you are wearing. If you have been having a difficult time with life or know someone who has, this is the ultimate perfume to remind you/them of how vital, beautiful and majestic that life is. If you ever needed a personal vault of beauty and bravery...this is it.

Masculine, but in an aromatic, sophisticated kind of way. The lavender and bay are prominent and give it a soft herbal, aromatherapy feel, whilst the cedarwood and benzoin add a woodsiness and subtle resinous sweetness. Whilst it could be easily unisex I do think this leans masculine without being piercing or butch, rather a soft, refined, clean fresh masculine. Second testing: All the above but this time it does not feel masculine. Balmy, a bit soapy, fresh spicy, with a soothing lavender and bay. Love it!
