Paradis Paradis

This poor thing needs a proper review. Unfortunately it's just me so let's see what I can come up with. I love this! It's a true green floral iris. It sparkles and if it had eyes they would twinkle. It's absolutely full of life. The iris is the star of the show but like in Cirque de Soliel there's a lot of stuff going on on the stage at all times. I've never smelled an iris like this. It's more masculine than Hermessence Iris Ukiyoe but it's in no way butch. I think this could easily cross genders. It's worth a sniff iris lovers. It's effervescent, rich, and shiny feeling. You don't have the deep woods in the background that you get w/so many iris' and neither is it cold and distant. The aquatic notes are a bit of a head scratcher. Mercifully they seem to be more of a rumor than an actuality. It is my absolute pleasure to say that I believe Paradis Paradis is a unique take on iris. I can't wait for it to collect some more fans!

Look at that bottle! The lid makes a satisfying sound when clasped shut, I can’t even. Delicate and feminine, Paradis Paradis is like an authentic iris bed, brightened with bergamot. Iris creations are often super-duper powdery and there is definitely a powdery element in play here, although plenty of green and cedar notes prevent soapiness. Paradis Paradis strikes some resemblance to Esteé Lauder White Linen, though the former is more airy. I often associate fragrances (and people) with colours: if Paradis Paradis were a colour, it would be white.

This one is perfect for spring. It's tender, powdery, inoffensive, but at the same time sensual and confident. I sense the definite touch of lilac in the perfume. And it 'looks' violet in my mind's eye. Only not as bold and self-assured as "En Passant" by F. Malle.

Iris, rose, dripping dewy greens. This is feminine, light and refreshing. Iris here is not too powdery or buttery, but more green and a touch woody. I also can pick up quite prominent lilac, although it is not listed. I did not detect any vanilla or actual cedar, just general faint wood note. I generally dislike most rose scents, am choosy about jasmine and love all iterations of iris. This fragrance makes all of these blend together so well and each one of the florals are at their best and most tender. Projection initially within an arms length, then sits closer to the skin. Longevity is OK. I wish the green and floral beauty stayed longer, goes into a nice musk scent too soon. Even so, in my top 5 spring/summer scent for sure. This is an easy love.

This is a lovely powdery floral - not usually my thing, but done so well that I really like it. It seems to me very well blended - no single note rises too far above the others. The words 'tender' and 'gentle' come to mind - like a baby (a bit soapy I guess?), or a spring afternoon. It's a comforting scent.

Wow, I received Paradis Paradis this Monday and I must say I am very pleased of this scent. I agree with Kchild that it is an extraordinary iris interpretation. In the beginning the scent reminded me very much to HRIS (Hermes) however it changes and evolves into a more subtle rounded floral, still I smell this special iris all the time. It turns soft and round on my skin. To me it is Paradise, but only Paradise. If it was a little stronger, I perceive it as somehow too subtle - I would say it is Pardis Paradis. Of course this is just my subjective perceiption.

Very strange perfume: it smells like I just came out from bathtub and added one tiny top of some warm smelling perfume on my skin. So as the result: these soapy and warm aromas exist together but at the same time I can definitely say where is soap and where is perfume. This soapy base can be boring, thought I like the effect of freshness that Paradis Paradis brings, especially in hot and humid Miami. At the same time it is very delicate and surprisingly long lasting. This is exactly what I need for a working day.

Paradis Paradis is almost what legendary Gucci Envy is, with a slightly powdery undertone. Great for summer, very clean and refreshing. Iris adds a serious touch that makes this perfume suitable for office use. Moderate sillage and good longevity.
