Okay, let me just say—I absolutely adore this perfume. It’s green, juicy, creamy, and completely stole my heart at the first sniff. At first, I thought, ‘Hmm, maybe it could be a little more powerful,’ but then I realised, no, its magic is in how soft and gentle it is. Also, the review below is a perfect description; there is nothing to add. The longevity is excellent, both on the skin and clothes. Easy 24 hours on my clothes. What else to say... So, picture this: I’m in a perfume shop the other day, and I overhear this couple saying they love fig scents and fresh perfumes. Naturally, I’m like, ‘I’ve got just the thing!’ Lucky for them, the shop had Cedre Figalia in stock, so I suggested they give it a try. Now,—after sniffing it, they said it reminded them of Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford but worse. And I’m just standing there like super confused, ‘Uh... no, not even close.’ But I didn't say anything just smiled. That moment really hit me: I rely so much on reviews, but we all smell things so differently. It’s such a double-edged sword, this individuality and those little quirks in our DNA. What’s a masterpiece to one nose might be a total miss to another. Go figure, right? But once again, to my nose, it is an absolutely indispensable part of my perfume collection because it makes me feel utterly happy and content. Btw sometimes, I layer it with just a tinny-winnie spray of Snob by Le Galion, and it grounds it with flowers and aldehydes to give it a darker twist, but that is only for events if I feel a bit quirky.

This is everything a fig fragrance could and should be. You really get the whole fig. First impressions are of the leaves, as if you have been walking on a very warm day and catch the scent carried by a warm wind from a tree baking in the strong sun--that almost toasted leaf smell that leans both green and coconut. The initial little very-short-lived blast of citrus provides the freshness of that breeze, but doesn't stay around long enough to become present and distract. Then the fig wood becomes very present--the mate and spinach notes help add that sappy feel, as if you have just cut a branch from a fig tree, so that you get the woody outside and the sappy inside. After the dry-down you get the warmth and slight sweetness of the fig fruit (but with NO sickly sweetness. I have had this for 6 months and find that it performs very differently in cold and warm weather. On a chilly day, I go on only this fig journey. In slightly hotter weather, the greenness comes through more strongly and I can pick out the individual notes of the basil, spinach, mate much more clearly, as if the warmth makes the formula come apart a bit rather than stay fully composed and rounded. Both absolutely lovely, but two different journeys. Sillage is not big but longevity is. You would NEVER guess at first scent that this would still be around 8+ hours later. Intimate, doesn't get up your nose, but absolutely offers a journey across the day. Rare combo. Love, love, love.

Review after failing to sell my 10mL travel size! I'm glad I didn't sell it. I had it up for sale and no one was relieving me of my Cedre Figalia so I thought I might as well just wear it. Overtime that note I brought up with it smelling a bit coconut/rice dessert-esque, that wasn't as prominent. It aged into a rougher scent that actually checks what it promised about smelling green and vegetal. In fact it was way more vegetal than I had remembered but not in a literal vegetable way. It's vegetal = vegetation. Less of a green scent in terms of aromatic and actually close to the smell of cutting plants and woody trees. There's still a lingering sweetness there that is kinda like Philosykos yes in terms of the wet juiciness that you'd get. Really glad I ended up keeping it because so many green scents disappointed me after turning very aromatic/that classic men's cologne interpretation of 'green.' Also getting burned from scents that promised a ""photorealistic smell of snapping a plant stem"" and such from various reviews. THIS honestly is both that photorealistic plant smell without just being a literal flat one-to-one plant smell. It's still a perfume and I think it really succeeded in what it set out to do. Idk about projection but this lasts very long on me and my clothes. I could spray in the morning and still smell like Cedre Figalia at night.

Absolutely stunning on first application. It's two parts fig, one part vegetal green with an undercurrent of cedar. I can actually smell the spinach, which is where I think most of the wet, green notes in the opening are coming from. It's actually very neutral and just serves as a fresh green touchstone for the rest of the fragrance to hang down from. I get a good amount of citrus, but it's supporting the fig here, lending a little fizziness in the opening. Once the opening has pulled you in, it settles into a fresh, barely ripened fig with a creamy heart, framed by a nice mix of mostly green with some cedar. I don't sense much progression after that, it just feels like the green dies down first and then it's a slow fade into nothingness around the 3.5 hour mark. I can still smell it at 3 hours if I sniff my wrist directly, but I don't believe anyone around me can smell it at that point. I'm not sure why all the fragrances I love have poor to moderate longevity, but this one does a little better than many similar fragrances. I know this is a new release in 2024, which has been the year of the fig. It's a trendy note right now, but this is clearly a well-thought out entry in a large field of fig fragrances. Moderate longevity, really elegant and beautiful. 9.5/10.

I have tried a LOT of fig fragrances, and while I do always like them, they always fall just a little bit short for me. I have finally broken the streak with this one! The opening is a wonderful, bright fig leaf. Its green facets are bolstered by the combination of basil with a touch of bergamot. As it dries down, the fruity aspects of the fig intensify and the mate and spinach peek out a bit. The sweetness of the fruit is balanced wonderfully by the bitterness provided by the vegetal notes. It has a little touch of a fresh soapy-ness at this point, which I love. Cedar and fig remain for the dry down. I find that this final stage also has an almost vanillic/pandan quality to it. This lasts a really long time- I was still catching whiffs of it at the end of the day after spraying it in the morning. Projection leaves a little bit to be desired, sitting just barely too close to the skin for my liking. With regards to comparisons, this sits between Thé Noir and Philosykos to my nose. The fig note sits more on the Philosykos end of the spectrum while the green/bitter notes lean more into Thé Noir.

The opening is buzzy for sure, not quite like much else out there. But even there, it's not a bright buzz, it's emotionally damp, held back, like the smell of a fig garden on a cloudy day, when it gets too dark and humid as it starts to rain. It's a very calm but textured scent in that way, there's not a lot of emotional progression after the first fifteen minutes. It keeps wafting off clothes for a few hours, but on skin, no real trace after the first half hour. A beautiful atmospheric scent, would be my top pick for a rainy spring or fall day, but not something I'd routinely reach out for as I generally look for my scent to elevate my mod, YMMV. Edit: After a few full wears of several sprays, here's Atelier Materi's design concept, including with Cedre Figalia: They are subdued and restrained, otherwise, they last for hours in a very faded and shaded manner, a true definition of a skin scent. A weak scent would disappear entirely, but these don't behave that way, just a different level of restraint if that is your jam...

What a gorgeous creation by Atelier Materi! Opens up with a very citrusy and refreshing bergamot note. Immediately after basil gives a strong, herbaceous aroma which is perfectly combined with spicy touches of Jamaica pepper! In the mid, a lovely combo of spinach, matè and fig leaf work together pretty well, giving a more green, bitter, earthy and slightly warm with faint smokey touches kind of feel. As it dries down there’s a soft woodiness with a faint balsamic touch adding a nice depth and more earthy feel to the scent! Lastly, milky fig notes give a subtle sweetness, warmth and some creamy touches to soften things up. What a beautiful closure! It smells divine and addictive! Overall I have to say that the notes are perfectly blended and are not overpowering each other, creating a harmonious blend! Such a high quality scent along with a gorgeous unique bottle as always! I loooove this perfume! God, the smell is just beautiful and nice... Vibrant, fresh, beautiful trail... It is a good kind of creamy vegetal fruity. I usually don't mind about longevity but phew! I have to mention that this one has a crazy longevity. The perfume opens with a green soft fig scent and later transforms into a vibrant concoction of every notes listed. After that, you get a comforting drydown... A very watercolor-y, vibrant, and slightly sweet mix of fig, mate, and woody notes. Beautiful, beautiful creation. I also happened to sampled Narcisse Taiji and I understand that there is this smooth quality to their perfume. Highly recommend to sample this or even blind buy (never really recommend this but I am quite confident for any fig/freshie lovers).

a really well-crafted fig and wood combo. has a primarily very green, vegetal opening with some fruity sweetness and a bit of woods. Doesn't go too much in the coconut vein like philosykos or debaser, and stays rather vegetal thanks to the basil and presumably spinach pulling it in that direction. The drydown is subdued but has that characteristic cedar dustiness that is really satisfying. This style of perfumery does invoke an idea of restraint an elegance, so i think there's a place for it. But because of that it isn't a monster performer, just a light to moderate one.

I think I've found one of my favorite perfume houses I've ever tried, judging by the discovery set. This scent is another stunner, and my other favorite besides Poivre Pomelo. The basil and spinach notes are done so softly. They're fresh and green, without being too herbaceous. I'm a lover of Philosykos, so it doesn't come as a surprise that I love this, but I would say this one does fig better. You can actually smell the sun-ripened fruit. Great longevity. Oof, my tastes are growing quite expensive I fear...

I have it as a sampler and initially, I wasn’t particularly impressed. The opening was okay but it didn’t grab me. However, everything changed after about 10-15 minutes. My goodness! It’s a true masterpiece in a bottle. I absolutely love how it smells on my skin. This perfume doesn’t demand attention but once you experience it it lingers in your mind, making you want to smell it repeatedly. I’m waiting to buy the full product. It’s quite overpriced but it’s that moment when the perfume wins your heart.

Rich green sappy fig, realistic smooth and probably the best fig fragrance I’ve smelled (Philosykos and Fico di Amalfi etc. got nothing on this). I would have guessed sandalwood since it is so creamy and lacks the spicy sharpness of cedar. The wood is in the background with the fig up front most of the wear. Spinach and maté are not discernible to me, just a pleasant green vegetation. Well executed and worth smelling if you want a fig fix without a ton of citrus or other elements getting in the way.

Love, love, love. I’m a huge fan of fig scents so I had high hopes for this and wasn’t disappointed. It’s unapologetically green and goes in an almost herbal/vegetal direction with the allspice, basil and spinach, but not too much (it smells more “garden” than “salad”). It’s rounded out it with a crispness from bergamot and a woodiness from cedar. Smells like a Mediterranean holiday. It’s not outrageously original for a fig scent, but there’s enough going on to consider a full bottle.

I bought this fragrance while going through a hard time in life (still am). I wanted something soft and comforting. This was the perfect fragrance. It's beautiful, natural, soft. Perfect balance of sweetness and green herbaceous notes. While this isn't a loud perfume by any means, I was pleasantly surprised that I kept getting gentle whiffs of it all day the first time I wore it. Easily lasted 8 hours. This is a beautiful fig scent that I highly recommend adding to your collection.

I like this perfume a lot. I was looking for something green and vegetable-y and this is really it for me. I think the longevity is not that good. I think probably 6 to 8 hours at most. Projection, trail, sillage is moderate. It opens very green, almost bitter (to me), but then it develops into an airy, light, sweet, green scent with a woody base to support it all. I think is a very good spring and summer composition. I think for the performance it’s a bit overpriced.

The more wet fig experience comes at the opening then trickles down to something more pleasant. There is a creamy, smooth facet throughout the body of the scent when you leave the leaves and greens. Maybe since I'm from the Philippines it reminds me of rice desserts/kakanin here. To me its creaminess feels creamy in a coconut milk sense than dairy. It wasn't as green or natural but more of clean and perfume-y? I'll give it a few more wears and see how it grows on me.

I understand the comparison with Thé Noir vs Le Labo. But this perfume is a lot creamier because of the fig and the tobacco and rose are missing. They are distant cousins. I was afraid of the spinach note because I don't like heavy earthy notes. The spinach is clearly noticeable, but not in an earthy way. It smells fresh and fresh and makes the perfume greener. Very nice! It really is a beautiful perfume and my favorite fig scent.

Cèdre Figalia- is an absolutely beautiful, softly balanced, fig & cedar fragrance. Basil, Allspice & Mate give it a soft yet fresh herbal touch. Easily 8-12 hour longevity. If you love fig, Cedre Figalia is the perfect all around fig & woody, herbal scent and I highly recommend it to you. Great for bedtime as it’s comforting and puts you in a relaxed state of mind.

This is not my scent profile at all but sprayed this on in the shop and couldn't stop smelling my hand. Really beautiful green fig leaf/woody fragrance. This would be gorgeous in the spring and summer. Most of the fragrances in this house have rather demure projection but this is much better. Not a beast, though.

most realistic fig scent i‘ve smelled so far. it has that slight bitterness you get when you eat the skin of a fig too. obviously a lot stronger than it would smell in real life but this actually reminded me of the fig tree i have at home. After a few hours it‘s a nice woody creamy scent on my skin.

to me this smells exactly like a sauna, like the dry sweet pine benches, very woody and pleasantly fresh, also has an eucalyptus note. strongly unisex, maybe leaning towards male. imo ideal for summer evenings since it's a very dry and non-cloying scent.

Every time the wind blew and I would get whiffs of myself, my eyes would roll into the back of my head. A green and creamy fig.

This is a grow'er, not a show'er. Needs about half an hlur on skin to start stretching across the room. Milky and stemmy.

Very tasty: supergreen summer-salad fun with a robustly woody undertone; a fig fantasia far more savoury and unisex than is often the case. To my nose, skews much more towards the leaf and root of the tree than the fruit, and is all the better for that; its fig is mild, natural, non-gourmand - yet somehow, despite the all the greenness, tending more to the milky-gentle feel of say L'Artisan Caligna than the deep-dark-spiky vegetation of Profumum Roma Ichnusa, say. Definitely doesn't get anywhere near as sweet as Gris Charnel or The Noir 29 - which is all in keeping with its discreet, lowkey, laidback charm. I get more fig-leaf and mate than the rumoured spinach (?!?!?!?) or basil, but no harm, no foul. Overall it ends up more cedar than fig, on me - not a bad thing, as its take on the cedar is classy powdery-shaving-sawdusty rather than acrid or too sharp. Allspice can be a bruising beast when it melds to timber notes, but here it's just tactful and quirky and pretty distant. The full effect is just as tasteful and well-modulated as all the rest of Atelier Materi's generally great stuff. Maybe not quite as original or fully-rounded as their Poivre Pomelo or Iris Ebene, but absolutely a worthy player in a classy, grown-up, totally respectable lineup. Doesn't throw far, may seem to have faded right out after 3-4h in, but does hang around discreetly for somewhat longer on fabrics, maybe still whispering away after a full day. So not a barnstormer, but genuinely does conjure a slightly-breezy, not too hot, early summer day somewhere bucolic. Utterly unisex, appropriate for anything except the very grandest occasions (even then it wouldn't be WRONG, but its determinedly natural 'no fuss no mess' feel might mean you'd find it lacks the necessary drama).It's good, it's good for you, and it's good for those around you. Absolutely a healthy choice.

The opening is a full-body yes. Bergamot bright, almost pithy, with that peel-bitter snap that makes your mouth water. And then the fig. Not the usual creamy-coconut comfort fig, not the sandalwood-milk lullaby either. This is fig nectar poured into an icy mocktail of green-gold fruit and glug of coconut water. Sweetness that feels humid and hydrated, god I almost short-circuited for a second. And then this bit... sorry, this BIG green kicks the door in. Fig leaf, maté, herb-crush, even arugula on paper (which sounds unhinged until you smell it). It’s a dry, leafy bitterness that turns the mood shadowy like the scent deliberately pulling back right when you thought it was about to go there. Not ruined, just... teased. Hovering you on that edge. But it doesn’t take long for the fig to slip back in over the darkness, now somehow milky and crisp like it’s glowing from inside the garden instead of sitting on top of it. The cedar shows up too not as pencil-shavings and more like structure. Clean grain, dry wood, a backing to keep everything upright. Would I have preferred the green phase lasted shorter? Yeah. But honestly, Cèdre Figalia is a rare fig that darts between ideal freshness and imperfect realism. And it kind of knows exactly how much to withhold to make you chase it.

A fairly nice fig scent, with the herbal green twist of spinach and mate notes. There are only two listed fragrances in the Fragrantica database with a spinach note. One point for uniqueness! Otherwise a standard fig scent. I have a pretty good collection of Fig scents, everything from Dior's Dune Pour Homme to Diptyque Philosykos to Aqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Fico di Amalfi and beyond. I wore Houbigant Figuier Noir last week, which I like more than this Cedré Figalia. I like Figuier Noir's sharp, green, spicy, dry, slightly astringent, and slightly bitter peppery opening, and its creaminess on the drydown. Cedré's spinach and mate notes enhance its artistic profile, but Figuier Noir is probably even more artistic. It has a candied fruits note in the base! And Cedré Figalia would benefit from more creaminess. Maybe a sandalwood, amber, or some kind of lactonic notes would help.

This scent doesn't say anything new. But it should be noted that it is very well assembled. They put the fruit itself here (juicy, ripe), and also threw in some leaves and branches (that's why it can safely be called green). It settles on the skin like soft wood. It sits close to the skin, you stop smelling it after half an hour

The initial spritz is addicting. I wish the scent stayed longer in that direction. After a few hours, it dries down to a very nose-itching cedar, similar to Rosie Jane's Dylan (according to my allergies anyway -- can't stop sneezing). Really wish there was more longevity for the fig notes.

Extra points for this one.. the fig at first is green, clean and very very nostalgic.. it reminded me of my village in the summer where we smelled figs everywhere. Then it becomes more vibrant and shows it's true colors.. I enjoyed it so much. Also very well made and balanced. A great job

Beautiful green, dry and powdery fig leaves with crisp and clean vibes. Joyful summer scent with a nice woody backbone - dry and slightly dusty cedar wood. It reminds me quite a lot of Paris Santorin Carven and of course Philosykos.

Opens very green, basil and a touch of a green pepper over fig leaf. Mellows in the heart but then becomes boringly bland and unremarkable. Swetens slightly in the drydown, but never makes it to ripe fig.

Opening is quite green and creamy, and than it turns into a sweet, fruity cedar. Natural, soft. It’s nice but way to quiet for me, especially for the price..

Bright, green, creamy, and woody fig. A great pick for hot weather if you can get it at a reasonable price.

The fig here is similar to L'Artisan Parfumeur's Premier Figuer: it has the same vintage-powdery edge and is dusted with wood (in Premier Figuer it's sandalwood, which makes the scent a little sweeter and denser than Cedre Figalia). There is a milkiness in the top notes and even more so in the heart, which from time to time goes slightly in the coconut direction. The mate here is easy to detect and adds some earthiness to the perfume. Basil fades into the background almost immediately after the top notes end, leaving behind a light vegetable flair. Overall, Cedre Figalia is more of a fig than a balanced duo of cedar and fig. To me, it is a close relative of Fico di Amalfi and Premier Figuer and certainly not that similar to Philosykos:)

Opens with fig thats a nice balance of sweet and green, but then afterwards becomes dry woody in a scratchy way I don't love, like being in a sauna, at least on my skin.

yesss this is so philosykos at the beginning!! this is the closest i’ve been to philosyjos no.2, BUT the cedar at the base makes it feel like cucumber tea...

This is your usual, summery, juicy fig fragrance. More fruity than green, medium sillage and lasting power. If you've smelled one, you've smelled them all.

Smells like Le Labo The Noir 29. Juicy fig on top of heaps of cedarwood. Not similar to Philosykos at all.

bought a sample of this after hearing it smells very similar to the caudalie fig body oil, but i fear this is too cedar-heavy. i can almost only smell mate, all spice, and basil; very unisex and green, just not what i was looking for

The cedar base and cucumber-y tea vibe is more prominent on my skin sadly :( . I loved the sound of this one, but it disappears into a skin scent immediately for me. Such a shame!

There's nothing creamy here. The woody drydown here is so bone dry scratchy that it actually irritates the sinuses and is quite unpleasant.

A very light, airy fig sitting in lukewarm vegetable water. The sharp woodiness of cedar supports it in the background as a very clean, minimal note. Green, slightly tart, not very sweet, fresh, and will remind you of some comforting blend of kitchen herbs while the basil and spinach notes stick around. That's it's "trick", but it really lacks impact. As to the sweetness- fig always runs a little sweet to me but this is much less sugared than a lot of other fig scents out there. There's no jammy, ripened, sticky impression here, and not much creaminess. Anyways, I don't find this that good actually. It's so gentle that it barely achieves anything interesting or memorable. Reminds me of the lightness of some Prada Infusion perfumes- perhaps Infusion de Cedre. Atelier Materi may be a little restrained in terms of keeping to well-liked archetypes, but their impact and quality hasn't ever been dull or weak to me except for this one. I like how it smells on skin but it's not worth what they're asking.

I think it's safe to say, this is more or less what you imagine it to be. It's light, green, springy, elegant, fig-centric. Theoretically, this is something I should love. And I'm sure a lot of people will like this. For me, something is off. It's too much basil, and too much cedar for my preference. Cedar is not a favourite note of mine, which probably is the reason I'm perhaps the wrong person for this. However, I imagine the cedar and the basil is what set it apart from 'just another fig-scent'. As mentioned above, I think 'restraint' is an apt descriptor of Atelier Materi as a brand. That's also something that makes a majority of their creations very wearable and elegant for the everyday. I think this one fits perfectly into that notion as well. It's very nice, but it just doesn't induce any deeper emotions in me. Although for someone else, I'm sure it will.

This is more of a tea scent than a fig scent in my opinion (or than a cedar scent for that matter). Smells just like pretty much any green tea fragrance, but with a slightly more leafy feel due to the fig leaf note. The dry-down is a bit more woody too, but not much. Longevity and sillage are on the weaker side. Smells very good, but overall doesn't feel quite special enough to justify its cost.

In the opening I get a sharp natural fig scent that is pretty familiar. In a few moments, it becomes more green and reminds me of spring and brings a smile to my face. In dry down I get a well-executed woody-fig scent. To my nose it smells unisex and is suitable to be worn for daytime during spring and summer.

You cant really hate on this. Its one of those ones where you can spray a lot and still not offend anyone. Your under a fig tree, in a forest, and it just rained kind of vibes. The fig is almost dark? Not a show stopper or big projector but overall a nice comforting green fig. A solid 8.4/10 for me.

Maybe the most comforting scent I've ever come across. Super quiet and cozy. As the world gets louder and louder I see myself turning to this often. (This is coming from a guy who loves Tyrannosaurus Rex; go FIGure.)

Do not listen to reviews saying this is weak and a skin scent. It opens very green and woody. But as it dries down continues to amplify into a creamy woody fig. My absolute favorite rainy/spring scent.

I was expecting something more lush and natural smelling, it is a bit on the restrained perfumey side. The fig part comes across very fruity and sweet.

opens rich, jammy, woody. deep and almost bitter, very pleasant. dries down too quickly, becoming a breath of once was.
