Néroli Hasbaya

Atelier Materi Néroli Hasbaya is a sweet cushiony neroli and orange blossom that smells citrus marshmallowy and slightly bubblegum to me. It's not sharply fresh or overly sweet and heavy. Very similar to Kilian LDBS with a less syrupy feel as there is more neroli in here than orange blossom and no caramel. Actually this reminds more of Love don't be Shy Extreme which was also a smooth neroli and orange blossom marshmallow, but sweeter, heavier, and more floral from the rose which at times made it too powdery. Neroli Hasbaya is fresher compared, allowing for it to be moderately sprayed and worn in warm weather compared to extreme. It's also not powdery, maybe because the florals have been replaced with nutty accords that I don't detect and more vanilla? Not sure but this also reminds me of Memo Paris Sintra, which wasn't powdery to me either but did have this sharp bitter petitgrain and neroli opening that I don't get in here. The dry down is really what's similar to Néroli Hasbaya but maybe Sintra was a little milkier. Performance is just as long at around 7 hours, but it becomes a skin scent around 5-6 hours while Sintra was more beastly when I had and finished the bottle. Knowing this profile though, this will get stronger and sweeter as the juice sits. Smelling this made me want to re-add LDBS extreme to my collection so I did. It was the only refillable bottle I sold after finishing because I didn't think I would want it, but here we are. This time I will keep the empty bottle after I finish, then buy the refill whenever I want it again down the line.

Incredibly nutty, tempered by sweetness and neroli/orange blossom. So comforting in cold weather. It’s an unusual combination of ingredients but it works. This lasts all day. Pistachio and neroli are the biggest players and this turns very soapy as it dries down. It’s kind of sexy. I dont find it cloying or immature or synthetic as mentioned below. But if you are not into orange blossom or neroli or nuts, you should definitely stay away. The “smells like” list is killing me. There are just a bunch of things on there that are either neroli, soapy, or citrusy vanillas. There is nothing on there that this actually compares to or that I can think of that it’s similar. It’s an unusual combination of notes. The more I wear the more i fall in love with it.

Wow I am impressed! I have a lot of neroli perfumes and this is probably one of the best!! The neroli and pistachio and almond ... is a masterpiece. Chefs kiss on this one! It’s so unique with the clean fresh vibe but yet warm and inviting.... Very nice dance. I bought a 10ml but will definitely buy a fb when this is done! Not sure on longevity yet but I am guess it’s going to be pretty good... at least 5-6 hours. I was a bit worried about the rose note because I usually hate rose in perfume ( smells sharp to me) but I get no distinguishable rose note. There may be a tiny hint in dry down but definitely not a stand out note

I wanna eat it, smell it, bathe in it... it makes me feel myself. Hard to explain but instead of being someone (as we like to use perfumes depending on the mood) this one makes me come back to myself. It’s pure light, luminous orange blossom they way it’s embraced by all the other notes. More elegant, sober and present than love don’t be shy (I’m having a love hate relationship with that one atm) I loveeee it, my testers are gone and I ‘ll probably buy it (not now as I spent almost 1k on new perfumes, oh lord..)

Luscious, velvety sugar studded orange blossoms wrapped around crisp juicy Néroli on a chocolatey pistachio base. This is gorgeous and best of all to me, different. Not just a rehash of someone else’s idea. The thing it reminds me of most is one of those chocolate oranges that come wrapped in foil and that split into individual segments for eating when unwrapped. Another home run for Atelier Materi. Néroli Hasbaya has a lovely silky feel on application and lasts 10 plus hours on skin.

After getting a sample of this, my desire to get Sintra has faded. The last one dries down as a marshmallow while Neroli Hasbaya keeps the neroli alive through all the wear and with GREAT projection and longevity, unlike Sintra. NH has a nutty note that was more noticeable on paper than on my skin, it's lovely and I want a FB at some point as it lasts and projects really well unlike other scents within this family. It is quite sweet but the neroli never dies. Solid release.

Fresh and zingy neroli that clears the brain and opens up chakras, but then like the aftertaste? or should I say after inhaling it leaves a powdery trail, like some thick dusty petals have been used. Its sweet but not overbearing, has some depth probably because of the pistachio idk✨ 🌳 Reminds me somewhat of Guerlain Neroli Vetiver Forte association: springtime in a park, trees and shrubs blossoming, bubblegum

This is so gorgeous! It is like Love don’t be shy’s big mature successful sister! I love the pistachio and almond notes in here. And it lasts all day. Why does it have to be 300$ for 50ml... I bought a sample and I’m so sad my 9ml sample is almost gone. Got to save my pennies up! Things a 10/10 for me. So good!!

Baklava in a bottle, the initial spray just creates an aura of sweet pistachios that reminds me of Turkish Antep pistachios, then mellows into neroli and sliigghttt powderyness on the skin. Absolutely adore this scent. My favourite to show to someone who is looking to discover Atelier Matieri

Holy f^k’n yum! yum! This is fantastic. Best blind buy of the year for me. Feels feminine leaning, but I’m gonna put it on and strut if I have to just to pull this off. This is for me, baby. Absolute winner!

I am a sucker for neroli scents but this! There’s nothing else like it. It’s LDBS to the Nth degree of luxury. It’s unique, silky, sexy and the perfect balance of everything. Love at first sniff.

This is GORGEOUS. Orange blossom cream with a semisweet starchy pistachio. Reminds me of kashta ice cream... so so stunning.

On my search for a winter perfume I encountered this new launch. I asked my sales assistant for a sweet interesting yet mature gourmand. He recommended this perfume and while it is not exactly was I was looking for, it is definitely a gourmand. If you live in France, this is exactly like the baklava pastries that we eat after a nice couscous, extremely sweet with orange blossom. If you are like me, orange blossom smells like plastic for you too. I do smell the plastic-y orange blossom in this but the pistacchio and the almond mask it fairly well. I will continue using the decant I bought and come back with notes on the performance and sillage. I do have to say the prize might determine me from not buying it, I think even luxury perfumes should be somewhat reasonable, and for the size of the bottle I do not think I can excuse the slightly artificial neroli in there...

Going through samples of the new extraits. The opening to Neroli Hasbaya is beautiful. Gorgeous, even. And I say that as someone who's not even huge on neroli. Unfortunately, like some have said, this one to my nose turns very old timer-esque. It's still wonderful but I could never wear this. On a 60 yo dad, this would be amazing. Super classy, very appealing. It's also very sweet from the almond so don't overspray because this will overpower everything real fast. If there is one neroli frag you can wear in the cold, it's this one. It's like Black Orchid Parfum strength. I'll take Neroli Hasbaya over BO any day of the week, though. I expected to hate this one and it's honestly pretty great, even though not something I could ever wear.

I love Love Dont be shy and this might as well be its flanker. Has same sweet orange blossom backbone, but with nuts instead of citruses. Also, not as sweet as the former. I think it has the same fatty pistacchio accord as in Hermes Un Jardin a Cythere. Good projection and great longevity. The fragrance is sensational, but gets minus points for combining two known designer scents into one and pricing it premium.

Like walking into a head shop in the mid 90's. The nostalgia was nice.

Unfortunately, this didn't speak to me. It's an intense, somewhat cloying, candied neroli bomb that leans heavily into the bready and syrupy facets of the note, mixed in with the specific flower's soapy character. Found it reminiscent of Memo’s Sintra and its many smell-alikes like LDBS, but without really any unique twist to truly set it apart. It feels like yet another sweet neroli that's meant to be marketable. The scent was bordering on that of a very sweet shower gel. Beyond that, the sweetness was somewhat headache-inducing to me, and while the fragrance is undeniably powerful, it feels one-dimensional, offering little beyond sheer intensity. Comparatively, Oranger Sirocco is much more refined and enjoyable, with a better balance of elements. So, overall, this is not for me. It was an overbearing experience that I couldn’t wait to wash off. Strength alone doesn’t make a fragrance compelling, and this extrait proves that point all too well. But, I suppose it's a scent someone else might enjoy anyways

Got a sample and l like it. Its goumand, sweet and l can feel the almond and pistachio like a Turkish desert indeed. Its heavy, probably not for summer. Longevity and silage is good.

This is a powdery, floral, old lady perfume. It's a hard pass for me.

Pistachio note is bad for me. Too sweet and cloying.

I'm not a fan of neroli (for example I sold my Neroli Portofino because I found it to bee too grassy on me). I was sceptical at first to try a new neroli scent, but seeing the orange juice and being surprised by the opening of the orange blossom, I was like "okay, I might have had made a bad judgment before even trying". Don't get me wrong, the opening is this candied orange blossom, veeery similar to Love don't be shy Kilian and also Villa Neroli BDK. But after 30-60 mins, the scent transforms into an old-man mess. This is what grandfathers wore at the late 80s. Afteshave with chypre neroli that gives an old-man vibe for sure. Such a scrubber! What a waste of an opportunity. I loathe to wear this scent on myself and smelling anyone around me wearing it. I would say this is for men aged 55+ or even 65+ (no offense!).

this smells so unique but nostalgic! The pistachio note with neroli is genius. It's comforting, and strong. Everyone will smell you. The rose really comes out to me, but in an edible sense if that makes sense? It's almost a contradiction. But I think that's what makes perfumes fun! Worth a sample, but definitely sample it first.

This has to be the nicest neroli scent that I have tried in many years...it creates a cloud of sweet, dense, almost caramelized neroli with chewy almond/pistachio nougat notes, the drydown is only slightly woody and fluffy. It does remind me of LDBS but way more interesting and complex. This is gorgeous!

I wanted to like this so bad because I adore neroli scents but this opens up with an acrylic burnt hair smell that is very off putting eventually the dry down smells like a lighter version of Sintra which I already own. Not worth it glad I only got a sample that opening is horrid!

It’s very lovely, sweet yet a bit soapy neroli. Can’t really call it gourmand and it doesn’t remind me of Sintra/LDBS much. Almond and pistachio are prominent but more powdery than dessert-like, and it’s great.

The perfumer notes this scent is inspired by the ‘heart of Lebanon’. I need this, this sounds absolutely wonderful

This is SO good! Delicious! Great longevity too. I just wish it wasn’t so pricey 💸

If I ever had to have a signature scent, it would be this one.
