April Skies

خداونداااااااا. انگار رو ابرام به روایت عطر. این یه طبقه از بهشت رو ابرهاست بی شک. چه عطر بی سروصدایی و چه شاهکاری آخه 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍. خنک نسیمی ست کز کوی دلبر آید.. به شدت اسم این عطر ، ابرهای ماه آپریل برازنده این عطر هست. بویی شبیه بخار آب اتو از اول تا آخر عطر حس میشه. مدام حس میکنی یه رطوبت اما نه از نوع نمور ، از نوع بخار واقعا اطرافت و فراگرفته. این فضا کاملا غالب هست و بسیار این عطر و خاص کرده. با درنظر گرفتن همچین پس زمینه ای از اول تا آخر عطر به سایر روایح میپردازم اما تکرار میکنم این پس زمینه همه جا هست. شروع با یک فضای سبز و تلخ هست. برخلاف تصور درین تاپ نوت لیمو خیلی مقتدر وارد نمیشه و فضای کمرنگی از حضور لیمو داریم. استارت یه حس شاداب و تلخ داره. یه سبزی مخلوط با حس پودری زنبق و همون حس بخار. از بین چوبها بوی صندل وود غالبترین هست و تاحدودی در ادامه حس و حال صندل ۳۳ از برند للبو هم براتون یاداور میشه. درادامه ترکیب خوشایندی از زنبق و صندل بیش ازهرجیز غالب هست . هنوز اتمسفر تلخ و پودری هست اما کمی هم حس چرب و خامه ای از صندل وود هم اضافه شده. کماکان فضا یک فضای خنک و روح افزاس. هنوز اون حس سبز کمرنگ کنار پودر دیده میشه و باز یه حس و حال بخار و مرطوب و فرح بخش. . . بطورکلی با یه عطر تلخ و سبزکمرنگ مواجهیم. بخش پودری غالبه و با حس فرشی همراهه. عطر شیرین نمیشه. توهمون حال تلخ میمونه و البته بنظرم نمکی و مارین هم میشه. اصلا اون حس بخارالودش بی شباهت به یک فضای مارین خیلی سبک هم نیست. بسیار عطر خاص و یونیکی هست. حس خنک ازبخار روح نوازی میکنه . پخش قدرتمندی نداره و رایحه خیلی شفاف به سبک و سیاق جومالون و اتلیه کلون. بنظرم یه عطر خیلی اسپرت و یونیسکس محسوب میشه. اما با توجه به تعاریف و خطوط زنونه و مردونه ، به سمت مردونه متمایل هست. برای من واقعا کار یونیکی بود و دوست داشتنی هروقت اسمش و بشنوم روح افزایی برام تداعی میشه 😍😍😍😍

The first time I smelled April Skies, it gave me one of the most positive visceral reactions I've had in my perfume smelling history; I can think of only two other perfumes that made me react so the first time I smelled them: Perfumer H's Rain Cloud and Byredo's Blanche. All three of these gave me that weak in the knees feeling you get when you connect with a fragrance in your gut, like a long lost memory of a perfect, carefree afternoon from childhood, so lovely it almost makes you cry! April Skies truly smells like its namesake : it smells like a sunny spring afternoon with a late afternoon thunderstorm looming in the distance; there is something so incredibly vivid and alive in this fragrance - it's truly magical. I adore a good carroty -- iris, and this here's a great one, with woody and musky notes rounding it off beautifully. For a fresh scent, this has amazing lasting power and lingers for ages on clothing. I think I need to check out some more perfumes composed by Serge de Oliveira, because I had a similar swooning session when I smelled Bon Parfumeur's Nappa Tuberosa, and wouldn't you know - he composed that too! If you're looking for a slightly quirky, beautiful long-lasting Iris, I highly, highly recommend April Skies.

I had the pleasure to get into the brand in their own shop and tried all of the perfumes with a personal and insightful guidance through the collection. April Skies is the most recent release and just amazed me with its accurate Interpretation of spring wheater. Fresh and tart at the same time. It starts with a freshnes of green leaves, which reminds me of freshly cut grass. The carrot seeds with the pear is very suprising and somthing I never smelled before. It has lots of different woods and spices too which gives the scent a depth and warmth. Overall a scent that is very suprising eventhough not my first choice of the whole collection as i like darker scents.

I bought a travel size after sniffing many other fragrances at a scent fair. I get an almost cucumber vibe (not listed); perhaps it's the carrot seed and iris combo. I like it a lot and have been wearing it off and on during warmer months (Spring/Summer). The only downside for me would be the slightly artificial-smelling aquatic note that many commercial oceanic-leaning fragrances tend to have (almost melon-y). Reminds me a bit of an old Kenzo Homme I used to own. Luckily it has much more going on than that and definitely worth a sniff. Though floral notes are present, it comes off as clean/breezy and unisex imo.

Softly earthy, fruity, green-ish floral. Quite unique, I can't understand if I like it at all. The name is suitable, "April Skies" - it does have a springlike facet.

Now when 'niche' means almost nothing, April Skies manages to come across as actually niche . It has its own identity. It is quite the unusual clash of notes. Not for everyone. The first time I came across April Skies was at a small niche perfumery in Warszawa I unfortunately don't remember the name of. I was intrigued with the greenness, the floralness, the lightness, and the thought of a perfume that smells like a spring day after the rain. It really is a spring time fragrance. Unfortunately, I don't get the evocation of rain anymore. Perhaps with some imagination. However, it is green, and floral fresh in a nice way. It's also very cold from the iris. In the end, the iris kills it for me. I think without the iris, this could have been way more popular, but perhaps also losing all of its character. You really have to like iris with this one. Unfortunately, I don't.
