Moon Sigh

So, back in December I won a Youtube reviewer giveaway for a bottle of my choice from Alt.Oblique's collection. I chose Saint based on the reaction the reviewer and his guest had when they smelled it. When the company mailed me the bottle of my choice, they threw in a 2ml sample of this wonderful fragrance. If I'm being honest, I like this a lot more than the bottle I got but I was going in blind and basing my decision on the reviewer's reaction and the note breakdowns. Moon Sigh's note breakdown really doesn't sound like it should work as well as it does from my skin but it smells absolutely amazing. I wore it today to church and as I hugged a friend, she said how great I smell. It's a weird and well blended concoction that has a green and aromatic vibe with some earthy backbone. The coffee note in the heart gives it a real uniqueness and is a bit intoxicating. If you don't like the smell of roasted coffee beans, you might want to skip this as the coffee note takes dominance for a good portion of the longevity. Overall, this is a very beautiful fragrance and unlike anything I've ever tried before. I would absolutely recommend getting a sample and giving it a go for yourself. If I enjoy the next wearing, as I have quite a bit left in my sample, I might actually consider getting the full bottle as I don't have anything that smells like this, in fact, I've never ever smelled anything that smells quite like this.

this is very compelling. it is complex and woody and dark. not a smooth velvet darkness, rather a rugged darkness, like the bark of an old tree, dark green, earthy, intriguing. the first 30 mins are very strong, then the projection becomes considerably weaker, average performance, with whiffs of this gorgeous surrounding you. i get musky accords, even though it is not listed, and no coffee at all for me. i don't know if i would invest in a FB given that after 2.5h it is very weak on my skin and only going strong on fabric. will keep using the sample and see. edit: terrible longevity unfortunately. 1-2h on skin, as a skin scent afer the first hour. after that gone. longer on fabric.

Pine/resin opening has noticeable camphor undertone, after that mostly leather, oakmoss. I can barely detect anything else. I find At. Oblique perfumes very unbalanced

I think it's pretty nice and unique. It's not very sweet. I get pine, elemi and a little bit of the coffee. Making for a bit of a mature and unique smelling cocktail of notes. I would like to wear this to work as it will make you stand out but not so much that nobody can concentrate because you smell so weird. Sadly the performance isn't great and you won't last a full workday. That would be okay but the price is pretty high. So you'd rather not spray 5 times a day. So i'm not getting a full bottle but was happy to experience it.

Sounds like a nice combination of notes, anyone tried this? :) Piney coffee patch sounds lovely...
