Haven't experienced the discontinued MFK inspiration for this, but... For me, this is one of those rare blind buys that has me smiling and intoxicated! Cannot get enough of this. Already ordered 2 more bottles. Honestly there is nothing I don't like about Hive from Athena Fragrance. Like honey on warm French bread. So smooth, light enough to wear on a summer day if you plan on being in the shade. Perfect for that. But strong enough to work in cold weather as well. I don't get the Ylang-Ylang, nor the rose, at all. But I do get a very soft incense and just a hint of cumin, cedar and sandalwood to provide a foundation for the the honey. Moderate or better projection. Lasts for 8+ hrs on skin. I get wafts of this throughout the day or evening. Beautiful! Unisex for certain but don't be afraid of this if you are man, and don't think this is overly gourmand either. Could easily be a "set you apart" signature scent for man or woman over the age of 18. Excellent price as well. A real gem.

90-95% Similar to the discontinued MFK APLS , very very happy to have this gem! Not as urinous the discontinued MFK version but more modernized and balanced. Best blind buy for me!

100% ressembling "Absolue Pour le Soir" by Kurkdjian... with a slight difference. Dominant Notes: Cumin, Incense, Wax, Cedar Secondary Notes: Sandalwood, Ylang, Rose Nonexistent Notes: Musk, Benzoin, Honey → First, I experienced an immediate rejection. A waxy smell that reminds me of the polishing of wooden furnitures, paired with animalic Cumin and the dominant incense. A "Féminité du Bois" without sugar, but more Clove and Saffron. → 10 minutes later, a powerful melancholy. Something indescribable. A northern cottage, magic potions, ancestral beekeeping, the Gauls Celtae, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty and her dragon. An irremissible sadness. A more oaky ambery "Rose & Dragon" from Carner Barcelona. → 30 minutes later, the sun returns. It's Ylang and Sandalwood, in the background. A suave and exotic softness, Rose and Honey upgrade the perfume, a rebirth. Beautiful smell of smoked Champaca, like Indo-Balinese or Indo-Malaysian festivity. → from 1h to 2h it's a mix between Tauer, Lutens and Amouage. If you like these houses, you will appreciate "Hive" by Athena Fragrances. "Hive" named this way, so everything is explained. The wax, the smoking, the Indonesian spicy honey and the general animality out of it. 👍 IT'S NOT SWEET AT ALL. It's certainly unique, but lacks roundness, vanilla or flowers in my opinion. I bought on their website, received in 5 days chrono express. It has traveled 10,000km in less than a week. Amazing. As much as its price and performances. 👍 Mainstream lovers will naturally hate it. As for you others, open-minded, give it at least 45 minutes before finalizing your opinion.
