Anaqeed (Green)

Blend 5/5 (extremely balance and not sweet) Uniqueness 5/5 (realistic woody with sparkling fresh top and warm base at the same time) Perceived Quality 5/5 (feels expensive to the nose) Surprisingly I quite familiar with this smell. This scent are common aromatic resin in Indonesia. Anaqeed mainly projects woody masculine scents. Uniquely the wood scent that usually sits behind, in Anaqeed they projects at the opening. Anaqeed opens with lighter kind of wood (cedar, etc). And also have that wood sap resin aromatics at the same time (myrh, olibanum, etc). At the same time have that sparkling freshness. Citrusy without being lemony. Green without being herbal. A very balanced composition from Anaqeed. The one that projects quite strongly is lavender with soapy quality to it. Dry, aromatics, and unique smelling. At the base various warm powdery and warm balmy aromatics beautifully support the wood scent up higher.

I got this at the end of summer 2024, opted for and to wear Detour Noir instead, and shelved this since then. Even put it up on Facebook Marketplace and didn’t have any takers. Brought it back out yesterday to try and holy crap is this good!! It’s fresher than Exclusif, easier to wear, more versatile (gah, I sound like Ash), but it’s really true. The marine notes add some air to it. To me, uninfluenced by others opinions, I would say it’s 60% Exclusif, 30% Layton, and 10% Acqua Di Gio EDP. So excited to rock this for the rest of the winter, and so glad I didn’t get rid of it. It definitely matured, but my palette definitely changed as well, so being shelved for that long doesn’t matter, I’m sure.

I love this! It took a year of shelf life before it could last more than 2 hours but it's really good. It opens with heavy orangy and vanillic notes with earthy sharp woods to balance it out. As it dries, I lose the woods after a couple of hours. It's a scent that makes me happy when I wear it. It's woodier on the opening and sweeter as it fades than Dusk Royal Woods or White in Black and while I like Dusk, I love this! It reminds me a lot of Chanel Allure Homme (OG) but more reserved. Incredible value, one year later.

Just received today and only done an unboxing and first impressions. Seems about 80-85% similar to Layton Exclusif. Really good quality for the price of £16. I'll give a more in depth review after it's had time to macerate a while, but so far so good. For the money definitely blind buy worthy regardless. Seems to last as well..

It definetly has that oud and animalic notes from layton exclusif in addition to the vanilla you'd find in regular layton. Seems like a really high quality clone to me.

The smell is exceptionally close to Layton. It doesn't perform/project like Layton but that's what you'd expect comparing a $40 Middle Eastern clone to a $300 French perfume. As far as longevity, I remember it being really bad when I first ordered it but after ageing for a few months it lasts a decent time, at least a couple hours. Such is the case with budget Middle Eastern fragrances--you often have to do the maturing at home! I don't think it's closer to Layton Exclusif (I have a decant of that), which another review claimed, it just smells like the normal Layton. I haven't tried Detour Noir or other cheap Layton clones, but I do have a full bottle of the PDM original and this is so close. Less funky oud and more apple but the vanilla side is the same and there's nothing annoying about it. I like Layton enough that I would like to wear it casually at home or at the gym, but can't justify using such an expensive fragrance that way, so I see the value in having a cheap clone like this, even if it's weaker. However, I don't think it replaces the original. There's a depth and richness the OG has that probably can't be had for $40 but if you accept this for what it is the value is pretty good. The elephant in the room...why does the bottle say anal? Buy a gym wristband or something to put over it on your shelf so your family doesn't get weirded out.

At $25 Australian it's a steal. I've never smelled the OG Layton exclusif but to me this has a strong resemblance to Aventus

Please can someone confirm if this frag gives nausea and dizziness to anyone else or is it only me getting these symptoms? Like an allergic reaction? The scent is very close to PDM Layton Exclusiff but the nausea I get when I wear it isn't worth the scent. 3/10 for me
