Fashion Decree Woman

The "Maybach Equivalent Revival" of a long forgotten old English perfume brand. Apparently the brand was revived with new investment money last year 2013. Now it is based in Italy (go figure). My perception of this brand is that it wants to be somewhere between Creed and Penhaligon's. It is very well blended and very competitively priced. This is a truly modern lovely floral, if not fruity Pachouli. It has some chypre sensibilities and in my opinion a very well executed interpretation of an old-wordly smell with a modern twist. There might even be a frankinsense there but it is ever so faint. I also get a rose, or is it the silk tree blossom? A truly unique scent and with pricing at the lower end this is a very commercial niche fragrance that should find many lovers and supporters. If only their advertising and brand recognition was a bit stronger.... 8/10 Lovely unisex fruity, floral chypre with a nuveau-retro vibe.

The previous reviews have said it all. It's really a nice, feminine fragrance, the patchouli note is quite potent and there is an interesting powdery hint of iris. While it's really quite similar to Dahlia Noir (patchouli + iris), Fashion decree has the magnolia note which moves it into slightly sour direction, while Dahlia Noir has the rose note which makes it sweeter and even more powdery. The longevity and sillage seem to be really nice for an EdT. Overall, a really nice elegant perfume. :) beautiful bottle and presentation.

My first experience of new Atkinson's ( I have a vintage California Poppy ) A blind buy as it was such a bargain ! The box and bottle are beautiful and good quality so would be great as a gift, the juice would be a pretty safe buy, too, for most ages: As other's have said: a sheer, modern patchouli ( I adore full-on, old school, green, medicinal patch but not all the time, in every scent ) Yes, it does share a base with the likes of BV ( and, by extension, Floral Street's Chypre Sublime ) but with soft, powdery floral top notes. Maybe a little vintage/chypre feel ( vintage-lite ? ) but not to the extent that it would offend modern sensibilities - I, too, love 70's chypres ( the absolute pinnacle of perfumery IMHO ) so would a been over the moon if it had been but, like many modern frags that are christened "chypre" but aren't, it just hints at it. Maybe the name's a little incongruous ? I imagined "Fashion Decree" to be a bit more edgy ? Altogether, a mild-mannered, well-blended, easy-to-wear fragrance.

This a patchouli centered scent but it is not heavy- it is a clear (sheer) patchouli. It is crisp, slightly earthy and floral sweet. This perfume states SRING - light yellow, prim, dainty, an upscale neighborhood with Topiaries of angels & neat flowerbeds at their feet - it is energetic. A very lovely modern everyday office friendly scent.

Might just be my sample, or my picky niche spoiled nose, but yuck! This is a short blast of astringent cleaning product, then a fizzy pop just-cleaned-the-counter-with-a-dodgy-sponge wet meh drydown. Not blind buy safe in my opinion I get zero patch, a little pepper and something citrussy, no magnolia...

This scent highly reminds me of Lancome ́s Magie Noire but a bit more wearable for daytime occasions. There are roses and some other flowers but happily married with patchouli that will take the lead throughout the journey to the drydown. If you like Bottega ́s light velvety patchouli background but would rather enjoy a floral setting instead of leather this might interest you. FD is a very classy and overall serious scent. I can see both gents and ladies wearing it but they are 30+. It has a certain old-school/vintage feel and there is no sweetness at all involved. As a patchouli lover I was looking for something really different from all the oriental patchoulis out there (which I dearly love but you need some variation some time). Besides, I love chypres and this is one in all facets. The vintage feel FD transports might be because it is a chypre that resembles the classics. This is my first fragrance from this house. I ́m smitten. Sillage : medium (it ́s not a bomb but not a body splash either) Tenacity : medium also (on me the scent has mostly vanished after about 4-5 but that ́s ok for me).

Very nice offering for those sensitive to strong patchouli. Patchouli gets more noticeable with drydown, but it's softened by magnolia and iris, giving it a soft, sweet floral vibe. The first few minutes smell like it's from the 70's, but later on it turns into something very contemporary and alluring. It's for sophisticated and mature ladys in my opinion. Really elegant perfume.

This is my second time wearing Fashion Decree, and I have finally realized what it smells like to me: Dahlia Noir by Givenchy! It smells JUST LIKE Dahlia Noir on my skin, and to my nose. The patchouli/iris blend is so much like that: serious, sophisticated, not sweet, clean but not screechy. I have two bottles of Dahlia Noir, and now I feel like I have another backup of it.

Is this a patchouli bomb or not? Is it clean, fresh patchouli or covered by lots of florals? Is it liniair or is there an exciting story going on? I am very curious.

Super patchouli and feminine fragrance. The mix of pink pepper and patchouli reminds me of Elle by YSL

This fragrance is colose to Portratit of Lady Frederic Malle,but much more modern and attractive

Ohhh how much I like this transparent patchouli! It is so elegant.

It smells like a blend of rose and patchouli, very velvety.
