Lavender on the Rocks

A classic leaning lavender aromatic with a modern touch from saffron.It took me some time to appreciate this one, but I'm now into my second 100ml bottle, and when that's gone I'll probably buy another. There's something about it that's very relaxing. Quality wise, it's good, with solid natural greens but won't blow anyone away that has lots of experience with niche perfume. My favorite part is what they did with the lavender here to make it colder (saffron, geranium, basil) with a crystalline and crunchy texture. I actually crave wearing this one sometimes because it has a cooling effect, smells clean, and draws the occasional compliment. I can't help but think of this as the lavender counterpart to Creed Original Santal. Not in scent, but in vibe. It's also worth mentioning it's got a pretty big does of geranium and basil, so if you're sensitive to those I would stay away. Over time, I've really started to wear it a lot. Performance is poor and I need to carry a decant. It wears like an EDT bordering on an EDC, but I don't care, the smell is worth it. One of my favorites from the house of Atkinsons out of the 10-12 fragrances I've tried. Buy cheap, spray often, -------------------------------------------------- Scent 8/10 Performance 2.5/10

Beautiful refreshing clean aromatic lavender scent. Absolutely unisex leaning masculine which I like in this case. I love wearing those type of unisex masculine scents I find it assertive , invigorating and sexy and wearing it makes me feel confident , clean and elegant. Lavender on the rocks suits a T shirt and jeans look as well as a power suit or a crisp white shirt and everything in between. It suits a man and a woman , its outdoorsy jet can be formal. I can mainly smell basil,lavender ,oud and saffron ,all together it smells incredibly FRESH and AROMATIC . Will be adding this to my love of lavender scents. Update, I love how it gets sweeter on its drydown and you can smell a hint of honey almonds and amber. This is what keeps this unisex and nice for a woman also it rounds the edges and makes this just so very beautiful. Update I have been wearing this a lot and gettting many many compliments. My husband says it smells like fresh laundry and my sons love it also. My hairdresser says I smell amazing.

At full price this fragrance is absolutely not worth it but for the price it can be had from discounters it’s incredible IMO. This is not a scent for kids, there’s no beast mode projection or nuclear longevity to be had here. What this manages to do incredibly well is make a lavender that is true to its natural form. It’s soft, it’s delicate, it’s slightly powdery. It’s like a lavender you’d spray on your pillow to help you fall asleep. It was love at first sniff. This is lavender unlike anything I’d ever smelled in perfumery before personally. No harsh blue shower gel or retro barbershop vibes. Just a gorgeous fragrance perfect for spring and summer. I can already tell this will become a spring favorite very quickly. But yes the longevity and sillage are a shame. I got my bottle for $80 USD, so who cares if I have to reapply.

I love this scent for the summer. It's a mass appealing lavender scent for the spring/summer that smells quality and not completely generic. The hay and honey notes are nice. I like how the oud and guaiac wood are almost non existent since I feel those notes would throw off the composition if they were louder. It has the right amount of rose and geranium, so it's not overly floral. It's a must have scent for me, in the hot summer time or even rainy spring days

Wonderfully airy and refined lavender, like the perfumer has draped a soft lavender and herb veil over gently curved wood architecture. It's cooling and uplifting, the kind of centering fragrance you want to smell like while you're running errands in a casually cute outfit. Projection is moderate-high, sillage is moderate. Longevity for the top and heart is about 6 hours while the base lingered for almost 10 hours.

Firsrt love at first sniff in a while. This is an absolute masterpiece of balance. Thick lavender, linear, bittersweet, very very elegant and harmonious. Classic but contemporary. Listed notes do not give the idea of the final result which is a green/Violet/grey synestetic pleasure

Total sexy - masculine - lavender fragrance. But I think it will be greater with hint of bergamot. for me: scent 9,5/10

This is its own master, beautiful, fresh and masculine, almost smells a little of absynthe to my nose.

A classic unisex lavender. Good quality. The honey adds a touch of sweetness to a very green, fresh and aromatic herbal scent. There is a lot of geranium here as well and I can see why some think this is very masculine. My favorite lavender fragrance to wear continues to be Jean Patou ma librete and I miss my minis that I had of it. I think it is time to buy a bottle of that on eBay. This is nice but not as complex as I would like. A bit to linear. But if you like straight lavender and geranium perfumes this is a nice one.

It kind of reminds me of violet candies but if there were made with lavender. At the same time there is something that gives off a shaving cream (old school) vibe. Very unique scent.

A complete let down by Atkinsons! Dark start on lavender followed by nothing...Nada! Terrible longevity for an EDP! Not worth the money either. Thumbs down!

Like the smell, but it wears of way to fast.

Straightforward lavender with lots of green sharp notes. It smells quite medicinal and masculine for me. It definitely has some cooling quality, but it’s not nice, it’s more like a sterile metal vibe. Can’t really feel any sweetness here. Not a big fan. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

What d' fck! Did the Creative Director at Atkinsons have a payback for a declined salary increase request with this one. The pretty bottle here is definitely more worth than the joke of a juice inside it!

Terrible sillage and longevity

I just recently discovered the Atkinson's perfume collection. I have been looking for a truly honest and distilled Lavender scent (for years) that can be worn with an Oxford Shirt, pin-striped suit or simply with jeans and a t-shirt. By honest, I mean a Lavender scent that smells like Lavender when it goes on and smells like Lavender when it dies down. LOTR does exactly that. This scent is unisex but I find more masculine, elegant with no powdery smell lingering around. The OUD rounded finish makes it current, modern. oriental, and cosmopolitain. After an hour or two, it reduces into your skin, like Lavender should really. The last thing you want is strong Lavender infused with synthetics to hold 6-8 hours on your skin. That would not be honest; but this is. I would rather have a distilled, clean Lavender on me for 30 minutes than a synthetic cocktail sticking around all-day. Great job by Atkinson's, 8 on 10.

If you like lavender this is a real fresh one, now , I don't think there are a hundred ways of doing lavender fragrances, So this one might be a bit overpriced, and I have smelled cheaper lavender fragrances that smelled as nice...not being a fan of lavender, I can only say this is a nice lavender scent...very aromatic..a bit medicinal too...maybe it is the argan wood!? honestly this doesn't smell pretty to me, but for lovers of lavender, this is a good one...as it is 100% the real thing !!

This fragrance is, in my opinion, the best lavender-based fragrance on the market right now. The lavender, as said before, is a true lavender. It smells amazing, clean, and although it may not last long, it's worth sacrificing a few extra sprays throughout the day in order to smell like a great lavender like this. I need to a test it a bit more, but so far I think it's fantastic.

I don't really like it but it does match the name lavender on the rocks as it smells somehow like rocks though I am very curious about how they create the scent. But nothing special at all apart from this. Definitely not the kind of lavender scent I like.

This is not a typical fresh lavender. It is thick and oily. I can smell the woods and especially sandalwood or light oud. Similar to Pour Un Homme de Caron. There is a similarity to D&G The One in the dry down.

Very fresh lavender scent, clean without smelling like a cleaning product. Very pleasant and aromatic, I think this is more masculine leaning. I think it's an ok scent. Soft and clean.

The scent itself is beautiful But the longevity is so weak I actually thought it was an Eau De Cologne ! (When it is in fact an EdP)
