Scilly Neroli

Scilly Neroli is a very fresh, bitter, green scent for the hot and sticky summer days. It belongs to the same scent family as most of blue bottles of Aqua di Parma, Dolce&Gabbana and Tom Ford. And so many more brands, niche or designer. Opens with a fresh, zesty lemon, a green petit grain and neroli flower. It has a aquatic, marine touch but without the usual salty undertone. Feels more like a moderate sweet aquatic fragrance. Very natural, clean and refreshing. As it gets through the heart notes, the flowers are taking over and the fragrance transforms into a white floral: orange blossom and neroli with a hint of patchouli. I think that patchouli in the base was added more like a note to prologue the life of the aquatic, floral, sweet scent that an actual note that comes alive in the scent . I wouldn’t know that Scilly Neroli has patchouli in it just by smelling it, it is not at all prominent. Would I get or recommend this for summer time over the above mentioned brands? Absolutely yes, because it’s way cheaper than TF and AdP and smells so much better and natural than D&G. Performance is as expected for a fresh, citrusy, aquatic fragrance, moderate on all levels. Perfectly unisex. Very beautiful, realistic fresh scent!

You can buy this fragrance for less than £100 and the packaging and presentation is quality. The fragrance is light a breezy like a fresh summers day, the neroli and orange blossom mixed with those sea notes gives it an ethereal presence. It’s an amazing fragrance on its own but pairs well. I’m glad I have it in my collection as it’s amazing for the summer, a fantastic gym scent and when fresh out of the shower. Longevity is very good for a citrus fragrance and you really can tell the quality of it as it smells freshly squeezed. Why is this fragrance house not getting more recognition as they have some very imaginative fragrances

Lemony Neroli goodness~ Im not a big fan of citrus fragrances but this one is truly above most at this price range (to me). However I am a huge fan of Neroli and I think this combination is so good that I love to smell this fragrance every morning to awaken my senses. This is unisex and more for spring/summer or cruisin but good golly it makes me jolly on the dark dreary days of winter. I think this a fab fragrance.

Far less sharp and distant than Neroli Portofino. Scilly Neroli is fresh, gentle, warm, elegant, approachable. Freedom as a state of mind, holidays, free time, tapas crawling in Zaragoza. Beautiful.

It smells beautiful, makes me feel like I'm in fairy like Mediterranean town.

I was glad to receive a sample of this one with a purchase: I'd never heard of Atkinsons before, and it's always great to get a chance to explore a new house. On top of that, I love it when a perfume name refers to a specific place, and the Scilly Isles especially are high on my "would have visited already if I were a rich person with a boat" list. And I have to say, this perfume fits that "rich person with a boat visiting a lush group of islands" narrative perfectly: I'm at home doing some much-needed heavy chores today, but when I close my eyes I can imagine that different life very well. It's a high quality scent, luxurious in its no-fuss simplicity: a very good lemon note combined with a very good neroli, and just a touch of sea breeze and ambergris to add a maritime vibe. It's pretty subdued and most of all just very pleasant, from the bright (but not too bright) opening to the sweet (but not too sweet) dry-down. Unisex, but maybe a little more toward the masculine side of the spectrum, and gone within a couple of hours. All in all, I can very easily imagine that hypothetical rich person with a boat wearing this. And if by some miracle my life changes completely and I become that person, I'll get a bottle to suit my new lifestyle. For now, though, I'll leave it behind without regrets: I like it a lot, but there are other lemon and/or neroli scents I prefer, at least outside of the sailing context.

This is similar to Acqua Di Parma Colonia 1916 without rose, Colonia Pura without the aldeydes, and the punchy neroli and petigrain from Essenza. Like if you mixed all three together, you'd have roughly this scent. The difference is this one starts off with tons of petigrain. Pretty good if you like the 4711 Neroli Portofino DNA. But if you want the absolute best rendition of this, and you don't mind spending money, look at Floraiku First Dream of the Year. If you want a mega potent (but also natural smelling) version, look at (try to find vintage) Bond No 9 Eau De New York. For the price, I'd personally choose Acqu Di Parma Colonia Essenza over this one. But this isn't bad. As far as the ambergris, I don't detect any. Scent 6.5/10 Performance TBD

Fresh citrus and floral. Scent, performance and overall quality are good but it's a bit floral for my taste - I prefer (love) 41 Burlington. I don't really like fragrance gender assignment so I see the floral as personal preference rather than feminine, it's just not for me.

Opens up citrus fresh with maybe spiciness in the background. It warms up after it's initial opening, getting a hint more spicy but retaining its freshness. To me it's an early fall fragrance that feels more like a perfect pairing to a cool dusk evening when you notice the weather is getting a bit more brisk than before. Summer is over and it's time to get a bit more cozy and warm. Looking at the notes I'm surprised to not see ginger or a hint of cinnamon, and so it must be the blend of citrus notes with a bitter element and maybe the neroli and patchouli being a bit more spicy. I find it more balanced and very approachable and friendly when compares to a lot of other similar scent profiles. It's not trying to do too much, not weighing down with too much wood, or trying to be a spice bomb, which I appreciate. Kind of an easy gift. I got a good full day out of my use, and with the bands recent push (I've noticed) it falls into good deal territory, which is why I picked up a travel size. Edit: 2/18, scratch all that fall weather nonsense, wearing this again I get spring freshness, the mix of citrus and bitterness runs true. It reminds me of some of Hermes fresh citrus fragrances, but a hint more masculine and far outperforms on longevity. It's an easy no fuss wear, but must admit because of that it's somewhat forgettable.

Actually, Neroli Portofino—nice, but nothing original, nothing

I made a blind buy after reading the reviews here. It has nothing to do with what is written here. An aquatic bad perfume that causes nausea. Permanence is also bad. complete regret.

Nowadays weather is too hot and everybody wish to go to seaside. Which fragrance has this mood? Sunny, sandy, joyful & aquatic. Now I have good choice. Scilly Neroli has wonderful citrusy start by lemon & petitgrain such a fresh aromatic sense. And then magic effect will be appear with combination of Neroli & ambergris! You may think this is a indolic Jasmine or even tuberose. But this is exactly Neroli great smell that ambergris added kind of warm animalic depth to it! Now you can wear it and walk on hot sand with horny scent during summer day in Scilly island beach.
