The Joss Flower

#1617 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as decant from scentsplit.com months ago and ordered a bottle last month. Like every Atkinson's I've tried (nine so far) this is a great quality scent. And like nearly every scent I can think of with "flower" in the name, or with gardenia, ylang ylang and especially peach in the notes, this scent leans feminine. I bought it for a girlfriend I'll see this coming weekend. I think I could wear this as well thanks to the incense and iris. A former lover described me as "androgynous. " My response was "I'm just non-toxicially masculine." I would describe the girlfriend who's getting this as "androgynous." I think she would say she's just "confident." This lasts all day and has good sillage. I paid $162 for it, something I would rarely do for myself, but I'm confident the woman I chose it for will love it, so worth the price to me. The note profile makes you think that this is a sharp bold heavy fragrance with an enormous projection which stands out in the crowd in late night parties. but actually this fragrance has a lazy kind of beauty with laid back relaxed performance, it’s like a sleeping beauty who just woke up... this is my experience with it. I wore it for the mall and I couldn’t smell it.. I gave it another chance for the office and she was the perfect companion. The smell has lots of complexity and character, but it speaks to you in a whispering toned down voice , sooo sophisticated and classy.

Not as potent or dark as Tom Ford's Black Orchid, but still very rich with great performance - at least on my skin. The nutmeg and peach combine to make this different enough from the Tom Ford, which has truffle and dark chocolate, and to my nose, it doesn't smell like a cheap knock off either. Also helps that the presentation - as a huge fan of purple - is gorgeous 💜

When I see a note pyramid and click top votes and it arranges it in a way that gets me super excited, I know it's a must try. Lately, I'm a huge fan of incense and florals, especially ylang and incense. This definitely peaks my interest. I see bottles for sale at Jomashop but don't know where to find samples of fragrances by Atkinsons. I'm trying not to blind buy anymore since it can be costly, and while fun and exciting, I have quite a few fragrances that I like, don't love, but honestly need to part with but I'm angry with myself for the loss I'll take due to blind buying. Anyway, where do I find these bottles to test?
