Amazonas Avalanche

Atralia-Amazonas Avalanche is a lovely modern take on an Aromatic Fougère fragrance. Avalanche is earthy, herbal & woody, (lavender, sage, Vetiver, patchouli & cedar), sophisticated and soft from the powdery yet lipsticky Orris (Iris) & Suede leather. Cacao sweetens the hardly noticeable patchouli ever so slightly at the base making the entire blend an absolute masterpiece. As a feminine female, I am totally enamoured of this incredible fragrance. Not to say it’s “girly” because it’s totally Unisex to me and I cross the line a lot when it comes to men’s fragrances as there are some I just absolutely adore! To those who have never tried it, I definitely recommend it for the nominal investment of $20ish, you’ll realize it’s value 20x if these notes are to your liking. It’s definitely an elegant fragrance, wears well, and is not a bomb in any fashion. My backup bottle is enroute as I write to you. BUT... Beneath the woodland canopy, where sunlight filters through the leaves and the creek whispers over stone, lavender drifts on the air like a violet haze. Orris unfolds in soft petals of silver-blue, wrapped in the delicate comfort of powdery cacao. A whisper of supple leather lingers close to the skin—never bold, only warm and reassuring. 1 year review: I don't know how, but this is my favorite fragrance. I paid 27 dollars. And it's perfect, it's actually so beautiful I don't even know what to say. It's so fresh but so deep and rich at the same time. I'd put this up there with the Dior stuff in terms of quality and depth, and honestly I like the scent profile even more. 11/10 NEEDS more attention i think every man should own this! Edit: It's amazing but it went a little sour after about a year and a half, could be just because of the cheaper ingredients. Still incredible and high quality smelling just something to be aware of.

After about two months, it became a lot smoother and started lasting much longer. I honestly don’t know what happened with your bottle that it only lasts around 6 hours. It’s not exactly beast mode, but my bottle, after about 3 months, easily lasts 8 hours on my skin with just 3 sprays, and obviously even longer on clothes. It actually lasts longer than Kayaan, and the projection is pretty much the same for both. I really love Kayaan, it’s been my favorite for the past two years, but now Avalanche is the new one.

Right from the start, this is a lighter, more elegant, and airier scent compared to Kayaan Classic, but that also means its longevity is shorter (Kayaan Classic lasts about 7 hours, while this one around 6 hours, on skin). If you prefer something versatile, light, and airy, go for Avalanche. But if you want something richer, bolder with longer staying power, then Kayaan. Both smell great and very similar to DHI, but I already have Kayaan for more than a year and I’m really happy with it.

Smelling Dior Homme Intense next to this (owning both), they're very very close. I would say Avalanche is initially more pronounced and that powdery lavender quality lingers in a good way (imo), though Dior lasts a bit longer overall. For the price (scored it for just under $20), you can't go wrong. Additionally, Atralia has some of the best damn atomizers out there... and I don't understand why other brands still struggle!

Another winner from Atralia. Fantastic atomizer, very versatile fragrance that can be worn almost anytime, anywhere, and won't offend anyone. Definitely leans male, but certain ladies can pull it off. It's well blended, with a bright opening and a somewhat complex dry down. All this can be had for $20, which is pretty amazing in my opinion.

To me it does smell like Dior Homme 2011. Not exactly but close enough. I’ve been able to smell 2011, wore it once after it was discontinued when a nice salesperson sprayed me with the sample bottle they had in a drawer. I enjoy Avalanche but it is normally too hot where I’m from to wear during the day. This is an evening scent for me.

Never tried Dior Homme Intense, so if you said it smells the same, I'll take your word for it. I find this scent fascinating. "Makeup bag" is an apt description. To me, it smells like the glue they put on the back of envelopes. That may not sound super attractive, but it really is.

First time wearing it my mom said she loved it, met up with friends and they immediately said it smelled like "sunshine", then my friends dog kept sniffing my arm it was on. Litteraly everyone loves this. 10/10 a step above their other stuff, fantastic job Atralia

Was going down the fragrantica rabbit hole when I stumbled across this. A cool-weather iris scent allegedly similar to DHI on my go-to fragrance discounter for $30CAD? You had me at Iris. This was a blindbuy, my first from Atralia. I was reluctant to write a review incase my perception changed, but it hasn't. It's your run of the mill, DHI clone. It does a fine job! Powdery iris over some dry, almost chocolate-y woods. I'll tell you how this differs from DHI. As similar as they all are, all the big iris-oriented designer scents for men all seem to have a counterpart note that really characterizes the scent. To name a few: DHI is a vanillic-Iris, Valentino's Uomo Int. is a leathery-iris with some vanillic facets, Givenchy Gentleman RP Iris-whiskey, Prada L'homme int Iris-amber/patchouli. This one to me falls in between Dior & Valentino. Avalanche has that powdery, almost makeup-y iris with soft, sweet hints of cocoa, but also captures a very dry, woody, almost papery feel- similar to the leather effect in Valentino's Uomo int. And it makes up for a pretty decent fragrance! especially for $30CAD. More of a moderate performer, maybe 5 hours longevity on skin, maybe 6-7 on clothes, mayyyybe pushing 8 if you go heavy. It's moderate character however does grant it to be used for a variety of occasions. I do think this could be worn casually at more-quiet events or spaces. My brother, who isn't in to frags at all absolutely loves this and wants to get a bottle of his own!

This one was a real journey with some twists, turns and dips...but finally landing on a good spot. The initial presentation was really iris-powder forward, which crinkled my nose. I was not at all happy with my purchase ...but an hour later I was seduced into a warm, subtle, ether around me. The dry-down diminishes the iris-powder effect as the lavender-patchouli-cedarwood-leather balance out and blend beautifully with the opening. This is not for everyone, no doubt. It is strong, yet an interesting combination of delicate as well as it is resolute. It is for a discerning nose and an advanced collector, imo.

#1072 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got a sample sprayette of this from a retailer and it's likeable. Not much to it, but it performs well and it's inexpensive. Basically it's a less sharp and citrusy Robert Piguet "Crevache." I'm kinda bored with these freshies, and I have a ton of them already, so I won't follow through with a bottle buy, but only because I don't need yet another bottle of this scent type. However I think it's a safe blind buy that is absolutely versatile and wearable for any environment or purpose.

First things first, very nice atomizer here lol. I tried it out of curiosity in the store so i haven't memorized all the notes but i knew something powdery was dominant possibly the cacao, and slight smell of sweet herbal scent i get from it possibly being lavender. In all honesty it is a well blended one. Technically dior sauvage with a lesser sweetened and a ton of powder, which is more intresting. Versatile. Average sillage. Possible year round.

Picked this up for like $13. Def worthy of double that. Like not love but would re purchase

a tad too powdery for me in the opening and early stage here. dry down is beutifully balanced, rich, and still floral and powder! but the first 90 minutes, smells like a grandma on my skin.

I got this and since there are not reviews here I go...it does smell like Dior Homme Dior from 2011 and for women it smells like a less cloying less sickly sweet smoother version of Just Cavalli Gold for Her Roberto Cavalli. You get immediately this dusty Cacao and orris it almost has a lipstick or make up vibe but men don't panic it continues to develop and around 5 min you get leather bergamot Patchouli cedar and almost this soft boozy quality in the background.this isn't sweet and the powdery level is only a about a 4 it's not girly nor masculine if you have smell Dior Homme dior you'll know what I'm saying. I actually love to smell this on a man especially dressed up in a suit omg. I'm scared the initial blast of Cacao and orris will scare men off a bit but it does develope and it does tone down. Ide say unisex but it's so well done✔️

Very beautiful iris and vanilla fragrance. Good longevity and performance for a $25 fragrance. If you like iris then perfectly blind buy safe. Might get backup bottle as it’s so cheap and nice.
