Matcha Latte

oh my god, WOW!!! this perfume is just absolutely beautiful, i’m genuinely addicted. from the first spray to hours later it is perfect, there’s no weird notes you have to wait to settle or any smell of alcohol, it was just perfect from the first spray. to me, it smells like the soft creaminess of milk, almost like you took sweetened condensed milk, added vanilla extract and then just added a TINY bit of those dutch licorice sprinkles on top and a dash of cinnamon/clove. i don’t smell a matcha latte like the kind you get made with traditional matcha, but it does smell a lot like those presweetened matcha latte mixes that you can buy at bulk barn or whole foods, much sweeter and more vanillic from the milk powder. it’s blended so beautifully i think it could very easily be layered with a green tea scent to make it more of a matcha latte scent rather than matcha latte mix. this is truly an amazing fragrance, though i have only tried it for a few days i can’t help but think it’s in my top 5 fragrances i’ve ever owned!!!! will update to see how it ages :)

Ok this one is freaking fire! I know I'm late to the party but tested finally today. Smells exactly like the burnt/ caramelized cruncy sugar layer on top of a creme brulee dessert. There are other scents like this but this one actually lasts on my skin. Immediately keeping this one- this is fire! Gourmand groupies unite- this one is for us!

Very similar to Cream Velvet by Khadlaj but lighter. Not as strong as CV, but in my opinion, yummier. I find CV to be a little more harsh, but I still like them both. I prefer the scent of this one, though. It’s everything I like about CV and nothing I don’t. Will be great for layering to soften and sweeten. Absolutely no matcha detected.

This is a mix between nebras elixir and amoré café Imagine coffee hard candy meets vanilla scented playdoh. Its weirdly addictive. As I find amore cafe too thick syrupy and nebras elixir too plain and boring, this is a great in between that I absolutely adore somehow, its perfectly balanced and cozy.

Smells identical to EG. Long lasting with moderate projection. I have a feeling this will get even better with age. I would definitely recommend.

Misleading name, but smells amazing, so who cares? Definitely EG vibes and really strong! Sweet, creamy, lasts forever. Love this one!

Blah blah, misleading name, repetitive comment. Now thats out of the way, I really enjoy this. I purchased right after release and now after some months and observational wears, I’ve gathered my final thoughts. Im a sucker for any ‘Escapade Gourmand’ impression and this is no exception. Simply a nice perfectly toasted, not burnt, Marshmallow. Sometimes this comes off a bit soapy to my nose, but that weirdly comes and goes; I’m just thankful I don’t pick up any Licorice/Anise like other reviewers. I could absolutely see Commodity’s ‘Milk’ enjoyers having a ball with this. I find myself grabbing this when I wake up or go to to sleep for a gentle start/finish to my day. Bottle is dense, the pressurized atomizer is firm, and this overall feels well made. I purchased this and ‘Sugar Mallow’ in a bundle anticipating my first encounter with an Atralia offering and for the most part I’m impressed. Maison Alhambra’s ‘Sugar Me Crème Brulée’ is very much in the same wheel house, and unfortunately I do prefer it over this. Both are high quality, low commitment wears giving you opportunity to wear something more dramatic later in the day. 😌

Kind of faint and has a strong alcohol opening for now. This is a new fragrance release and was made recently so it’s to be expected. I’m sure letting it air out a while will mellow the opening and strengthen it. I’m even more assured of this by the fact that it just keeps getting stronger as it warms up on the skin. The profile is exactly as expected. If you have the maitha oil and are looking for a matching fragrance..... this is it. This is exactly what I was looking for. I was afraid for a moment in the opening that this was going to be another Eclaire or Bianco Latte dupe. Thank goodness it’s not. It just needs a minute to warm up. When comparing to my Escapade Gourmande decant they are spot on. ML might be a little more toffee in the opening but once it dries down they are 1:1. Edit: I still really like the dna of this fragrance, but this does NOT last. No projection or lasting power. I cannot in good conscience recommend something that has less lasting power than a cheap handsoap.

Very cozy, warm gourmand, and definitely a fall/winter scent. This might be too cloying for some, but a definite love for all the vanilla gourmand lovers! I can’t compare to EG, but this is a baker’s delight! Reminds me of Eclaire/Bianco Latte but very toffee and caramel forward in the dry down. The anise and licorice notes are there but only noticeable when you’re really looking for it. These notes help balance this out from going too cloyingly sweet for me. Eclaire gave me a massive headache so had to give it away - I’m so happy this one didn’t get heady for me. Happy with this blind buy!

First sniff i fucking hated that licorice note slapping me on the face, it felt artificially done and cloyingly violating my nostrils until i wore it this morning and omg when it dries down it’s absolutely beautiful the tonka bean with the milk and vanilla and some sugar is all what i smell, the lasting power is insane around 12 hours!!! with a personal bubble sillage isn’t bad, i only got a decant, a friend commented that it smells like chocolate, think of white chocolate You will enjoy this one but be patient with it <3

If Bianco Latte/Eclaire are too much for some folks, this is the vanilla middle child I can’t imagine anyone being mad at. She’s pleasant, a bit airier, and far less confrontational. Because she really wants you to like her, she tries to stand out by wearing trendy matcha green tea band shirts- even though she’s never tried it. She’s sweet. She’s nice. I love the fit, but don’t expect a conversation about matcha.

No Matcha, which I knew purchasing. I was looking for a perfume that smells like my Maitha oil, which this does. I also have Falak and they aren't exactly the same. Falak is more elevated and interesting, also longer lasting. This smells great but is a very light skin scent for me. I'm going to let my bottle sit and see if it gets stronger with time.

When you first spray this yes, you definitely get that caramelized sugar smell. After a while I get more of a cotton milk and anise vibe from this. Definitely not gourmand like it is in the beginning. It's creamy and almost honestly kind of a clean scent by the end. It's pleasant! I really do like it! Yes, to my nose it is on the lighter side.

It’s a nice sweet vanilla gourmand but not mind blowing. I feel like it’s very similar to Whipped Pleasure by Lattafa without the caramel. I already have that one and I like it better than Matcha Latte so I have no need for it honestly.

Smells similarly to Latte Abyed minus the incense note and turn up the caramel a little. Very light, creamy, fluffy, and sweet. I think it's redundant to have this and Bianco Latte or any of it's dupes.

It’s a pleasant, cozy, lactonic gourmand, but I get zero matcha or longevity out of it.

Exactly the same as Khadlaj Creme Velvet.

I should’ve known better than to buy a fragrance with “matcha” in the name when there’s no actual matcha note listed 😔 I’ve never smelled Escapade Gourmand, so I can’t compare the two, but to me this smells like Play-Doh mixed with medicine. What I get most is an extremely concentrated caramel sweetener with salty and slightly minty herbal undertones. I don’t pick up any of the lactonic notes people talk about either. Once it dries down and sits on the skin for a while, the medicinal scent does fade, but something about it still smells off to me. I was really excited for this one and have let it sit for months hoping it would improve, but unfortunately it still hasn’t grown on me. 5/10
