Mr Momentum

Ok, as someone who in general doesn't like Majority of the Blue scents in the fragrance market nowadays, not only is this unique and well blended it's absolute PEAK, this is everything I wanted in a Blue fragrance, and it's also a good passionfruit fragrance that I've been wanting to have for a while. This opens up with a fresh does of citrus and a bunch of green spiciness, the Ginger itself is the most prominent to my nose, after 10 minutes the main trio of Lavendar-Passionfruit-Basil comes in and my god, WOW it's good, the Lavendar is as you'd expect, quite smooth and sweet but it's not the predominant note as I get with 80-90% of other Blue designers with lavendar as a main note, instead it's about even, if not slightly behind a nice passionfruit note, that's quite tame in its sweetness but it's still quite sweet regardless, it's more of a refreshing and clean passionfruit more than a purely sweet one if that makes sense. The basil helps to give this fragrance a slight airiness and spiciness, and i also detect a minty note behind the basil that round this fragrance out with its signature clean and freshness to make it a "Blue" scent. This stuff is quite strong too as not only did last 10-11 hours on my skin, but it looks projected medium-strong for the first 4 or 5 hours, not only that, but after the 4 or 5 hours elapsed, after taking a shower I still smellt it as if I just applied it, amazing stuff. I think Omar hit the nail on the head with this release, it's both mass appealing and niche in its quality/scent profile at the same time, being both easy to understand yet also having nice complexity to it, I'm most likely going to be getting a full bottle and using this as a signature for everyday wearings, on the topic of that, this fragrance can easily be worn all year round, but it leans slightly towards summer and slightly away from winter, but it's not a deal breaker, maybe it is for someone living in a colder climate country, but in Australia, it's usually a more moderate climate for me so it's perfect. Overall, Yap session aside, this is easily one of my favourite fragrances of all time as of writing this, and I'm comfortably say it's my favourite Blue/Freshie fragrance, definitely worth a try for anyone looking for a creative and unique Blue scent that still etaind complexity as well as mass appeal. 10/10

This one starts out with a burst of bright realistic grapefruit & citrusy notes, juicy, slightly rindy and with a touch of ginger dancing in the background. Behind the grapefruit & citrus is a hint of fresh basil and mint that freshens and brightens the opening scents without ever taking it to a mojito or truly tropical type profile. Although marketed as a "blue" fragrance, this one remains to me a perfect example of what a fresh spicy citrus aromatic should be. The passionfruit comes in rather quickly after the opening and is present throughout the life of the fragrance without ever being overbearing. The way the passionfruit and basil play off of each other is something I have not experienced in any other fragrance I own (which is around 140 bottles...) and like nothing I have ever smelled in any other fragrance I've tried. In the dry down the scent remains mostly liner with passionfruit, ginger & basil being the most prominent notes with a slight lavender and patchouli that eases it's way in and sits just underneath the main notes making the whole composition very bright and refreshing while the vetiver sits way in the back to give a woody texture without ever being too obtrusive. At first wear I knew this one was one of those special fragrances you don't find very often and it was going to have a place in my collection for many years to come and was the first full bottle of Atrium Fragrances that I purchased and still wear at least once almost every week. Great for office wear or going out with friends, can be dressed up or worn with jeans & a t-shirt and work perfectly in both occasions, great year-round fragrance. Overall a complete 10/10 fragrance worthy of full bottle purchase. 8+ hours longevity with a medium-loud projection.

The initial opening of the fragrance is green and quite heavy, featuring notes of basil and ginger, with a hint of lavender that reminds me of a refreshing iced ginger tea you might enjoy at a nice patio restaurant during the summer. This initial scent lingered on my skin for about 10 minutes. After the opening, the fragrance evolves to include mint and fruity notes, predominantly citrus and passion fruit—one of my favorite summer drinks. The middle notes are beautiful and evoke memories of fresh "agua fresca" that I used to buy from fruit sellers in Mexico as a child. These middle notes projected nicely from my skin for up to five hours. After the five-hour mark, the green notes begin to fade, giving way to a delightful blend of passion fruit and mint, accompanied by darker, woody notes that I assume come from the patchouli. This dry-down phase is less projecting but still substantial, lasting on my skin well into the eighth hour of wear. Mr. Momemtem offers a unique twist on the blue scent trend. It is characterized by dominant notes of fruit and mint, making it appealing to most men over the age of 25. Unlike many modern fragrances, it is not overly sweet. While it is a good fragrance overall, it is not a safe blind buy like most blue fragrances tend to be. The inclusion of green notes and mint may limit its mass appeal, but it is still enjoyable. This scent provides a fresh and fruity take on the blue genre without being excessively sweet. I find it suitable for all seasons, as it balances freshness with richness.

I received my bottle a couple of days ago. I agree with the review below...this is not your typical blue fragrance and I would personally label it as a fresh fragrance. I'm not overly into blue fragrances and have used the sample, so as not to waste any from the bottle... I have opened the full bottle, but only to have a smell and the citrus top notes seem very prominent from just having a sniff of the atomiser - from the sample, I get more of the basil top note. However, what you get is a fresh and uplifting scent profile of high quality. This reminds me of Lalique l'insoumis and l'insoumis ma force, but brighter and fresher with higher quality ingredients. Also a slight hint of Boucheron Jaipur homme, as it smells slightly of cinnamon to me - they both contain cinnamal. This is well blended and the notes all appear to you on the dry down journey. I like my Cartier fragrances and to me the style of this is in the same vain - gentlemanly, refined and classy....if you can get a bottle, I don't think you will be disappointed unless you were expecting a generic blue fragrance.

It’s a very good blue fresh fragrance. Like the post below said, it’s blue but no shower gel blue. Think of Sedley, Torino 21, Xerjoff Renaissance, etc, due to the lemon. I would say to spray the bottle rather than the sample included since the sample smells kinda funky but not the bottle. I get a little passionfruit in the mid and the lemon turns more into a lime. It has the Virgin Island Water mojito vibes.

I love the blended fruits and basil. this is a great everyday all occasion frag. well done omar

TLDR; Opening: Think very green and dry Y EDP with heavy basil, lavender, and ginger. 5 -15 minutes Mid: Very non-linear, constantly evolving and changing, becomes more grapefruit, passion fruity, still green but more subdued, never missing just quieter. 15 min - 2 to 3 hours Dry down: Changes every quarter hour it seems from mid to dry down. Different notes each time I smell it. Lots of passion fruit, and patchouli. 3 - 5 hours at least, my skin and nose are not a good judge of longevity, YMMV. Notes: Mint is present throughout, however it is more a feeling than a smell. Well blended to my nose. I will return it, but it is a high quality, powerful, and dynamic fragrance. If you like the notes, or want a Y EDP with more green, buy this now. If you are a man that likes it, it will keep you enthralled with its development, and is truly worth it. I am not that man :( Very interesting scent. Upon first sniff, I recoiled. Very medicinal, with the basil, ginger, and lavender, almost like Kouros or older fougere openings, not that they have those notes, but that is how I remembered it. Smells grandfathery or something grandma would like to smell on a man. And yet feels like a MUCH more green YSL Y EDP. First sniff I despised the opening, and almost decided to send it back immediately. Then this performs a complete 180-backflip combo, albeit in very slow motion. The green, slowly becomes more citrus, and the passion fruit is present but not dominant. Mint, lavender, passion fruit, citrus, and cardamom mix together, almost like the basil, mint, and lavender are in the first car on a small train, with the other notes in following cars. You can smell them all, but as it develops different notes become stronger, then are replaced by the next set, but its a small track so the other notes are still present. If it smelt just like the opening for the entire life of the fragrance I would vomit. The dry down is better, but I probably will return this. I wanted to like it, and I like School of scent, but this is very aggressive green, with some fruit and a lot of patchouli and lavender wrapped in light mint. If you like this it is a quality scent, and well worth the money, but not for me. Sorry Andrew Tate :(

Quite a good everyday fragrance. The mint, basil, and lavender are very noticeable in the opening. I find it quite nice and different for a blue fragrance. What's nice is that they don't disappear during the dry down. While much softer they are still there drifting in the background. Often times I find top notes fade almost down to nothing. Not so here, at least for me. The dry down boasts a lot of earthy notes but I was surprised how fresh the dry down is. I'm guessing this is, again, due to the mint and lavender still sticking around. I can see myself wearing this all year round. An easy grab when I'm in a rush or have time to contemplate what I'll be wearing. This brings me to my next point. I think classifying a fragrance as "Blue" is somewhat problematic. As with so many things in the fragrance world I think terms and definitions are bandied about with different understandings or lack of understandings. I've taken the Blue classification to mean a pleasing fragrance that is not too dark and can be worn year round in most circumstances. I did a little research before writing this and found that many require a Blue fragrance to have an aquatic/oceanic accord. I have no problem classifying this as a "Blue" fragrance as my understanding of that classification is met. However, if you are looking for a water accord than this fragrance may not meet your expectations. Regardless, this is a very adaptable fragrance that will please both the wearer and those that take it in off the wearer. Lastly, I see a lot of reviews say this fragrance has a medicinal smell. I'm pretty sure that is the mint. Mint is used in many bathroom cabinets (toothpaste, bandages, many salves & ointments). I can see how some make the connection to medicine. Still, mint is used in many other things in life that I don't make that connection. It works well here and is but one part of a successful whole. It is so nice that each bottle comes with sample vial so that there is no real risk, if buying directly from Atrium. I look forward to putting this to good use, often.

Blue fragrances typically capture a sense of crisp freshness similar to a fresh breeze or cool, running water (and this is the imagery they often use in advertisements). This is driven by their use of sharp, energizing, and zesty citrus notes. "Mr Momentum", likely thanks to the basil, mint, cardamom, and especially lavender notes, reminds me much more of the kind of "veiled" or "clouded" freshness you get from freshly cleaned linen on a new hotel bed. The basil and mint are how they give it it's "energizing" qualities, making it far more green in nature. It is not like the typical citrus blue scent. Even though its an "everyday/all occasion" scent, their use of tropical fruits like passion fruit just bring to my mind the mental imagery of summer time at a tropical beach, and while I think you can make it work in all seasons, I actually think this would work best in spring/summer, and I am very excited to try it out then. I was very impressed by how photo-realistic everything smelt, especially the passionfruit, basil, and mint. it felt like I had cracked open a passionfruit right in front of my nose, with fresh sprigs of the herbs right next to it. Overall, a very tropical, green-leaning take on the blue fragrance profile. best as a scent for the spring/summer time or when you are out by the beach/pool. 4/5 stars, 8/10.

This is my first experience with Atrium although I enjoy Omar’s content. Upon first sniff, it immediately reminded me of Eau Sauvage Parfum. After comparing them side by side, I noticed some differences, but they complement each other nicely. Mr Momentum feels more like a daytime fragrance; it’s not as rich in amber as Eau Sauvage Parfum. This is a sophisticated, mature scent that’s easy to wear, with an effervescent top note that adds a sense of excitement. It evolves throughout its wear, keeping things interesting for the wearer. At the moment, I’d say it’s a scent I like but don’t love yet. However, I plan to wear it regularly to see if my feelings change. I’ve also found that when wearing it, I occasionally forget I have it on, only to catch a whiff and think, “Wow, that smells good,” before realizing it’s the scent trail of Mr Momentum. It's beautifully crafted, well-blended, and has a depth that's easy to appreciate.

My fourth fragrance from Atrium. While I find Mr Majestic to have a more unique scent profile, this fragrance is so much more wearable and mass appealing while still maintaining some niche quality and nuance. On my skin, the mint is what really pops out at me. I get very light hints of the passion fruit and lemon, but not nearly to the extent that I'm seeing in the rest of the review section. The peppermint, patchouli, and basil are what really stand out for me, and as someone who typically does not like green notes in fragrances, I can proudly say that this one works for me. Not a traditional blue, but maintains the versatility you'd expect. Great release in my opinion!

This smells nothing like YSL Y, Sauvage or any other blue shower gel ambroxan fragrances. This is a heavy mint & lemon (not listed) aromatic fougere but made in a more modern style (hence the blue moniker). Its not shaving cream barbershop but goes more toward an old school citrus like Dior Eau Sauvage, Acqua di Parmas, etc. Its not bad, but I was expecting something more tropical and sweeter in the shower gel style. I don't even get grapefruit or passion fruit, just lemon.

Got this yesterday It's definitely different but I wouldn't say it's a blue fragrance. The opening reminds me of old school stuff like antaeus and kouros not that it smells like those as it doesn't. Not mass appealing in the opening but changes multiple times during lifetime. I'll be returning mine as although I like it and it's different I know that I won't reach for it unlike Mr Fragrant, that stuff is amazing. Would've kept it if I'd use it more although I'm going too use more of the sample before a final decision as I've grown too like a few things I've hated at beginning so we'll see. High quality though and I got 12+ hours from a double spray
