Mr Radiance

My faith in this brand was restored after I received this fragrance over a week ago after pre-ordering it directly from Atrium Fragrance. I was somewhat hesitant initially to pre-order this new fragrance as I wasn't at all impressed with the previous release, 'Mr Elegance' (which I will review at a later date), as it reminded me of the identical-smelling Kiwi shoe polish that I have used almost daily for several years. However, 'Mr Radiance', a unique summer scent, took me by surprise. It is a well-blended fragrance, albeit at a higher price point of £160.00, which adds to its allure. This makes it my favourite of the six Atrium fragrances in my extensive collection. The scent opens with a pleasant, clean citrus blend, with no one note too prominent. It then dries down to the distinct mango note and matching marine accord, which gives the fragrance its unique appeal to me. These middle notes then linger while projecting moderately for a couple of hours. As a side note, if remotely interested, this middle mango note in 'Mr Radiance' is somewhat less loud & pronounced than in the adorable and equally unique 'Paris Hilton for Men' (an EDT & a summer favourite of mine) for anybody familiar with that fragrance. I swear & declare, though, that I can also smell the prominent cucumber note present in 'Paris Hilton for Men' at the heart of 'Mr Radiance', although it is not mentioned within the notes specified and listed for the fragrance. Eventually, 'Mr Radiance' dries to a more woody accord, which lingers as a pleasant skin scent for a few hours afterwards. Overall, I am impressed with 'Mr Radiance' and find it a worthy purchase, although I would have preferred it to have been longer-lasting. The distinct middle notes make it a pleasant, recommended modern summer unisex fragrance.

I absolutely love Mr. Radiance. I just received it a few days ago and have worn it every day since opening it. It definitely was a complement puller. It's just such a pleasant warm weather fragrance that it's hard not to love it. I had several people at work and random public encounters comment that they loved the fragrance and wanted to know what it was. I tend to overspray, so I get good performance from almost anything I wear... I rarely feel like 3-4 sprays are enough. But with a generous spraying of 12 or so sprays, it lasts all of my work day, and then some. It opens nicely with a soft fruity accord that is not sharp or acrid like some citrus scents, almost floral citrus (??) if that is a thing? The marine scent is present from the first and is long lasting, possibly helped with the lingering tendency of the ambergris (thank God it's not a fishy smelling ambergris, though). The marine-mango combination lasts for a long time, dying down to a skin scent on me by around 8 hours. I really don't catch much of an middle eastern oud vibe, but kind of a green fresh oud that is not very common in typical middle eastern oud scents. It's great for warm sunny summer days, and can be a nice scent for pleasant warm spring or summer evenings.

The scent opens with a burst of fresh citrus, with the most prominent note being orange. This citrus aroma lasts on my skin for about three minutes before the middle notes unfolded. At that point, I detected a strong scent of mango combined with an ocean breeze, giving the fragrance a fresh and tropical feel. This invigorating vibe remained on my skin for about an hour, accompanied by moderate projection, before it became a skin scent. After the first hour, the aroma settled close to the skin, revealing earthy patchouli and a mild, clean oud scent that lingered until the seventh hour.

I really enjoy this fragrance. The smash of upfront citrus is delightful. I love the mango here. its a ripe juicy and fresh mango. I think the oud is there but blended where it creates a unique note with the existing ones that its not loud or prominent. I get 6 to 7 hours on skin and around 8 on clothes. it's my first atrium and really like it.

Smells like a higher quality version of ATH Odyssey (2022 and older). The ambergris must be nearly identical. So, this is a BANGER! More potent Odyssey with a touch of mango and oud....wow! This is worth the asking price even though it's pretty high

Beautifully constructed follow-up to Mr. Maritime. This creation removes the rhubarb & the creaminess of the sandalwood and tonka from it's predecessor and adds in a fantastic Cambodian oud and ambergris in its place to create a more mature upscale version of this DNA. Where Mr. Maritime had you feeling like you were relaxing on the beach, Mr. Radiance transports you on a boat out on the open waters. I feel this one will lean more towards the 30+ crowd & the younger guys will probably gravitate to Mr. Maritime. It starts out with a fresh, bright, citrus blast with the mango leaf and patchouli coming in soon after. The oud note becomes more prominent about an hour into the dry down, never overpowering or aggressive, if anything I wish it were a little higher dosed as I enjoy this beautiful woody note. A couple of hours into the dry down the marine notes & ambergris take a more forward place and an oceanic saltiness emerges from the background and the scent transforms to a salty, aquatic, oud & mango fragrance. Really wish I had been able to sample Mr. Radiance first as I would rather have a full bottle of this in my collection vs Mr. Maritime (which I absolutely love...) but I personally feel owning both would be a bit redundant in my collection. I do feel this one is a bit overpriced for what you get, even though this one has high quality ingredients, I'm not sure why it is listed as the highest price fragrance in all of Atriums offerings. The ingredients and blend are sublime like all Atrium creations I have worn but the performance is sub-par, especially for the price point. 6-7 hours longevity with a soft projection, more of a personal/intimate scent than anything others will notice. You will definitely need to re-apply if you want it to last all day. I would love to see this one reformulated to make it stronger with a little more push and a more prominent use of the oud note, such a wonderful representation of well blended oud to just be hidden in the background. For the perfumery I give this one a solid 9/10, performance wise, I couldn't give it more than a 6/10 though for an overall score of 7.5/10. Full bottle worthy only if you don't already own Mr. Maritime.

Got a bottle of this from the preorder campaign. Was not my cup of tea at first--comes off much lighter and airy than its predecessor in Mr Maritime. I'm glad I kept giving this one a chance, though. Sweet and clean opening without being abrasive or harsh. Missing the real punch of mango that Mr Maritime had, but it is subbed out here for a more subtle and gentle green mango note. Rounded off with some light fruity oudiness in the base without becoming overpowering. Very well blended for sure, and one that I have come to appreciate with time. I prefer Mr Maritime, but the quality of this release is nothing to scoff at.

It smells like a subdued Dior Homme Cologne with added Mango / tropical fruit from the rip. I ran to my collection, because I immediately felt this was very remiscent. I sprayed both and yup. That's exactly thats what how i would describe the opening. So it's a nice scent, no doubt. I had terribly high hopes at that point. This could be a banger I thought. But then.... The performance. The performance is terrible. After 30-60 minutes the smell becomes very intimate, and close to the skin. I don't have to bury my nose, but to pick it up, I have to go 2" from my arm. Longevity for a freshie is solid. It's been on for about 7hrs so far and still there, but again intimate. Scent - 7.5/10 Longevity 8/10 Sillage 2/10 Packaging is very basic as is the bottle and the cap is so meh I can't believe it. Overall for the +$200 this is a 3/10 don't waste the money, IMHO. Shame too because I love Omar's reviews, and his fragrance tastes are very aligned with my own, but the lack of push for this type of money doesnt work. If this were half the pricetag I would give it an 8.5-9/10 Since this is a wonderful smelling frag, I am going to try and see what happens, if I layer it with "Not a Perfume Overdose" See if I can't kick this up a notch with that ambroxan (Cetalox).

I'm a bit confused. I own 9 frags from the house and the second I purchased was actually Mr Maritime which I honestly don't love. The rhubarb and the sweetness of the tonka rub me the wrong way. I don't like it when summer frags are as sweet, specially when I was promised a salty, oceanic scent. I got a sample of Mr Radiance on another purchase and I loved it! Citrusy, marine, elegant... perfect! So I had it on thr back burner because it was pricier. They ran a discount of 30% and I went for it. After placing the order I went back to my sample and sprayed it on my wrist, it smells like window cleaner! Perhaps the sample went bad, it was just like a drop so maybe something was off. I just got my full bottle, sprayed on the wrist and yes, window cleaner. I'll give it some full wearings and update but so far it's a bit disappointing.

Mr.Radiance the successor to the much loved Mr. Maritime ladies and gentlemen today I have taken Mr Radiance for a spin in the real world today’s weather was around 40-44 c close to 115 f unfortunately the successor lacks on the radiance department such a soft sillage with no punch to it, scent profile will remind you of the original Maritme however this only barely lasted 6 hours on my skin with 45 minutes of soft projection, definitely mire for the cooler spring days or nights, imo Mr. Maritime should have remained untouched as that does radiate and longevity is a solid 8 hours strong, please remember fragrances are subjective and if you don’t agree with the opinion it’s ok 😃this has been my written review and if you have any of these fragrances please let me know and remember to stay stinky 🤘🏻

Wanted to add, I don't detect any oud. Not a sweet oud, or a warm smokey oud, not even a funky anamalic oud. ZERO oud for me.
