Wonderful Tonka

From the very first spray, it smells exactly like warm apple pie with cinnamon. As it develops, it remains a comforting gourmand, while a subtle lavender note quietly supports the composition in the background. Everything feels smooth, balanced and perfectly harmonious, with no note trying to dominate the others.

This is a smoky sweet tonka gourmand scent. I don't know where the smokiness comes from, but it has a deep sweet scent on the dry down. At first spray, it was very acidic, the pepper and mineral notes were very prominent, but they fade quickly and then what is left is this smoky vanilla scent. Very interesting, I'm not sure something I would wear as I'm not a fan of this scent profile, but I'm glad I tried it.

Wonderful Tonka is a fragrance that I would define as unusual. In the opening black pepper reigns, enhancing a spicy but dark side, which is sweetened with grapefruit and gives space to a dark, gothic, almost withered interpretation of rose, made even more intriguing by the amber accents and tonka bean note. I find it very sensual, absolutely unisex and very, very intriguant. Elaborate, really not heartfelt. Something in this is smelling smokey to me. Is it the peppery & mineral notes mixing with patchouli? Maybe. I mainly get a smoked cocoa. The cocoa is buoyant though, not weighed down... A little rose, a little tonka. Overall I expected more tonka from this. It smells like a fine fragrance, sophisticated. But nothing I'd reach for. Reminds me of Serge Lutens - something akin to a mix of Encrin De Fumee and Santal Majuscule.

Parfum sensuel , vanillé , je sens une odeur d'alcool alors qu'il n'y en a pas dans les notes du coup je suis certain que c'est le cacao qui fait cela. Projette fort et performance remarquable.
