Floral Musk

Definitely not what I was expecting from a perfume named "Floral Musk". I think a better name for it should be Caramel Musk. I'm usually a fan of most florals but I avoid sweet perfumes with strong vanilla, amber and/or caramel notes. Honestly, I only tried it because of the name but surprisingly, IT WORKS. The sweet is very caramely with a creamy musk but it's not overwhelmingly sweet. All of the notes really work very well together and I layer my sample of this with other fragrances that I like but don't love and it transforms them to something really amazing. I think Attar Collection has the best musks I've ever smelled (I own Azora and Musk Kashmir) and I definitely can smell the creamy musk notes from Musk Kashmir but with a caramel drizzle. I spray on in the morning and I can still smell warm whiffs of this into the night, as with all of the other Attar Collection perfumes I own. Even when layered with other brands, it's the only smell left at the end of the day. I am a huge fan of this fragrance, and this will definitely be the next addition to my Attar Collection collection.

At first spritz, elegant modern florals fill the air and then this heady and mildly animalic musk note comes in. For those that assume that all musks smell powdery and fresh, this fragrance is nothing like you would expect. Floral Musk is a little dark and ambery. Definitely unisex. About 10 minutes into the dry down, I detect something soft and fruity. This is NOT a clean girl laundry scent. This is a flirty minx who likes to push limits.

I'm not speaking about the notes. Everyone has its own taste. But longevity is really disappointing. Attar collection was famous before for the strength and longevity of their products. Now it is lacking. Pity

After about a year I get JHAG Superdose + BR540 dna

Not what I expected from a fragrance called "Floral Musk". When I bought my decant there weren't so many votes as similar to MFK Baccarat Rouge 540, so I wanted to try this solely based on the notes and the pretty bottle design. What I hoped for: Fluffy musk and florals with creamy caramel and a mossy, earthy background note. What I worried about: The possibility of screechy lily of the valley and musty tagetes. What I didn't think of, but got: Sharp, masculine deodorant musks kind of remiscent of the base of Xerjoff Erba Pura, just not quite as loud and without the sweet fruit on top. I suppose I'm very sensitive to this kind of synthetic note that is increasingly often used in niche unisex fragrances under the name of musk or amber. If you don't have this problem, this will likely work better for you. I can smell something sweet and creamy in the background, not sure if I would call it caramel, but it's there. There is also an intensely green, earthy note which might be the moss. It doesn't have the vintage powdery vibe that oakmoss has, it's more like a modern, crystallized moss note. Maybe there is a hint of green florals, too, but the musky harshness is so distracting I can't put my finger on it. For the record I don't find this very close to BR540. There is a small dash of its DNA in the background, but to my nose this isn't one or the countless dupes and siblings BR540 has on the perfume market. As expected this lasts pretty long and is hard to scrub off in the shower. Luckily it gets a little sweeter and less scratchy in the drydown, but all in all, it's really not to my taste.

I like baccarat, but not love simply because it opens metallic kind on my skin. This is not a dupe for baccarat but to my nose floral musk has more that sugary vibe than burberry her for instance. Is more wearable. Quite nice and cosy.

Weird... Nothing floral at all. It smells like someone sprayed a masculine musk fragrance into a box of pencils.
