King Solomon

This scent is all about spices. A true arabic scent with strong sillage and nice longevity. The opening and the middle stage have many similarities with Ajmal Shadow Grey so if you like this Ajmal you'll probably like King Solomon. Because of this similarity I think that there are more notes from those listed here in Fragrantica. There must be olibanum, black pepper and sage which most of them are shortlived. As time passes it transforms into a completely different scent with a soapy blend of oakmoss,, vetiver, camphor, well ballanced cinnamon and mild cardamom giving to the scent a barbershop vibe. The dry down is better than the opening and the middle stages IMO. And it's logicaly priced.

A real arabic smell with a lot of sillage and endurance. Cardamom, Cinnamon, Vetiver, Vanilla, Virginia Cedar, Camphor, Musk, and Oakmoss are the notes. I like how the spicy opening is tamed by vanilla before transitioning to a musky centre and excellent drydown with little soapiness. This smells more like a male aroma to me than a unisex one. A true monarch of spicy smells.

It smells like medicated alcohol in Thailand and Vietnam body massage parlours. After an hour of testing on my skin, the smell started to sour. I guess it's because the cinnamon oil they use is not good quality. Since I love using cinnamon when cooking, I know how sweet and spicy cinnamon can be. Not recommended.
