Musk Kashmir

A real beauty! So refined and pleasant! A bit floral but so well balanced. Very feminine, soft, transperant but noticable, with good sillage. Love ❤️

I haven’t had the chance to try the original/first Musk Kashmir, so I blindly purchased the new extrait. I really like the bottle. When I bought Musk Therapy by Initio, I imagined it would smell somewhat like this Musk Kashmir extrait. But I couldn’t make Musk Therapy work for me - on my skin it smells harsh and cologne-like. It’s probably my skin chemistry, because I gave it to a friend of mine, and on her it turned into a sweet, soft, musky, powdery milky cloud with a citrus nuance. What I smell in Musk Kashmir is a lot of creaminess and sweet sugar caramel (without any iodine or bandage-like notes, unlike Baccarat Rouge 540 - where that effect comes from saffron), just soft, creamy, not-burnt sugar caramels. Sometimes a subtle molecular woody accent comes through (I think ambroxan or ISO E Super - I always mix up how they smell). Unfortunately, it doesn’t project much, and I wish it did. It stays very close to the skin.

I purchased Musk Kashmir Attar after locating a pretty good online deal. I bought a full, new, 80ml bottle when it was suggested this extrait might be an alternative to the expensive and discontinued Narciso Rodriguez "White Cube" EDP. I owned, love and blew through a bottle of "White Cube." So, I purchased MKA blind-buy. So, there really are zero similarities between MKA and White Cube. Musk Kasmir Attar Extrait opens as a straight-up, gauzy, light-wearing, ephemeral white musk fragrance with very gentle floral undertones. White Cube is the opposite, as it opens with STRONG gardenia supported by musk and woods. White pepper is definitely evident in Musk Kasmir Attar's opening but this fragrance is all about soft, gentle, white musk. And not surprisingly with an extrait musk, MKA immediately becomes a skin scent. However immediately upon spraying, I detect a urine or ammonia, civet type note...very unpleasant to my nose. Fortunately within 5 minutes, this urinous note diminishes. But it seems to be the only note I can focus on. So disappointing. Very little floral. Lots of white musk. Selling my full bottle at a loss on eBay.

Musk Kashmir Extrait is a little too marshmallowy for my taste. It is feminine, beautiful, youthful and sweet. Very fresh and vibrant like the most perfect shade of pink. This is a pretty gently floral musk.

This is not the clean musk scent I was expecting. It’s sweet, and though it doesn’t smell exactly like br540, I can see why people say it reminds them of it.
