Coffee scents are tough to pull off. I think the idea of combining coffee with iris is a good one, and this scent works pretty well, although the “coffee” is more like a coffee-flavored hard candy a friend of mine brings back from her home country of Canada every time she visits her family. I agree with the reviewer who said it gets a bit stale in the dry down, which is too bad because it lasts a long time! A good one for lovers of coffee scents though for sure. I really appreciate these Auphorie perfumes, I think the brothers use a lot of unique aroma chemicals you don’t smell in other perfumes, because their fragrances smell very unusual and interesting.

This seems quite a brave combination of notes. On my skin the iris and coffee are doing battle to be no1 note. This is one intense fragrance which is not surprising as an extrait. There is a little sweetness at the back which I will guess is the vanilla, Tonka and resins. You have to wait a while before they can be picked out. The coffee is a bit bitter on me. I will make a guess that's an espresso. I applaud the pushing of the envelope but it just ends up as an interesting smell. I wouldn't want to wear it. Bang on unisex. Average sillage and not surprisingly it has very good longevity.

This scent has two stages for me. The first, that lasts around 2 h, is lovely. Imagine creamy coffee of good quality, that's dusted with fine cocoa powder and maybe some cinnamon. It's like the cliché of a warm hug, with the background iris note creating an imaginary lilac feeling. The drydown though, goes skanky on my skin. My thoughts wander between a dunghill and a coffee thermos that's been used for several years and never really get clean.. It's not totally repellent, but it's surely not pleasant either. I definitely suggest others to sample before buying.

I get more chocolate than anything. the coffee is there. very very good. high quality. so delicious. not overly sweet. smells real. wow
