Ryukyu

The first fruity blast of this actually made my mouth water! Very tart and juicy initially, then it quickly calms down and the florals and musk kick in to balance it out. The musk is almost too strong and dirty for me, but then it quickly recedes into the background. Despite all the fruit and floral notes, this is a very sophisticated smelling perfume. I think some of the salt and mineral notes listed are probably helping to temper the sweetness. Dry down is heavenly, although I wish projection were a little better. I think I’m going to have to buy a bottle before this runs out (this house makes a lot of limited edition scents, which is kind of fun but also a bit frustrating).

I really like this. A lot. Off the top I get a floral sugary mango candy vibe, reminiscent of my favorite childhood candy, HI-CHEW. You get a ton of the plumeria throughout the fragrances life however it never goes indolic like jasmine but rather stays very fruity floral. As it settles I get more of the tea note. I feel that wearing this on a hot day with the sea breeze aerating the thick sweetness of this fragrance is where this shines best. If I close my eyes it really does take me to Okinawa. Great longevity and sillage. Recommend before it is sold out.

Beautiful sweet fresh fruit floral scent. It opens quite creamy and sweet, like juicy mangoes bursting on a bed of milky jasmine. I can't stand fresh florals for longer than a few minutes, but I really want to try wearing this. It's admittedly reminiscent to something designer, but done well. It's very rounded, I smell no sharpness or overt sweetness, and it's so well blended I'm having a hard time picking out the rest of the notes. Definitely something to try, whether you like florals or not. It's beautiful.

Yum. And yum. I love it. Sweet and bright. And juicy. The pineapple is first apparent. But the other fruits come out equally to play. I can pick them out as well. Female leaning. Gourmand. I have a sample now but I’ll be looking for a bottle soon.

Beautiful scent. Can definitely smell mango and some citrus, but it’s not the citrus I know. Something like kumquat? I can also detect frangipani, hibiscus water (tea?), a teeny tiny dose of jasmine tea and something salty, like salty warm sand? (Strange comparison, but that’s what came to my mind). And it also smells like a tropical forest after a rain, just enough rain to raise the smell of the ground. Not sure what the base is here, smells like woods soaked in flower oils and slightly burned sugar, the kind my grandad ‘cooked’ for homemade vodka, lol. All these ‘weird’ components somehow create extremely lovely fragrance which is pure joy and pleasure to smell. Checked the notes on their website. Was right with the rain. It’s listed as tropical petrichor. :-)
