Desert Dew

Same league as Santal Supreme Le Monde Gourmand, Bbw Lost in Santal, KKW Nude Soleil and JL One, not as fresh spicy as One tho. Desert Dew Auraa has a rubbery leather scent to the usual herbal-earthy woody profile of this genre from the saffron, a leathery bittersweet note, supported by the cashmere wood at the heart. So I ain't too crazy about that rubbery feel even tho I like leathery scents (with leather, osmanthus, labdanum even ambrarome), but the saffron is a bit obnoxious. Eventually it morphs into a smoother woody earthy sweet scent in this Santal 33 range. I'll let it sit and see if the saffron calms down a bit sooner. So this is the one out of this league that's leathery. The opening is subtly citrusy sweet for seconds before the leathery rubbery scent overpowers the composition. The later drydown has that citrusy bright red to it but more faint and softer. It's an interesting twist that makes it more feminine. I have all the aforementioned perfumes except Santal 33, and I also have the bbw mist. This is closer to One being unisex. The other 3 are more feminine and I love them. One being spicier fresher grew on me after awhile so maybe I'll love this one too.
