Aurora Scents Black Obsidian has the same stunning presentation and elegant bottle design that makes the brand feel incredibly refined and gift-worthy right away. Aurora Scents really knows how to create that luxurious first impression. The fragrance itself is difficult to describe in the best possible way because it creates more of a feeling than just a scent. To me, it smells like stepping into a beautiful vacation home — fresh air flowing through open windows, crisp clean fabrics, smooth dark woods, and that comforting “everything is perfectly clean and expensive” atmosphere. It has a very airy, polished, almost calming quality that feels sophisticated without trying too hard. What I love most is that it smells clean without being soapy or generic. There’s something addictive and elegant about it that keeps making you want to smell it again. My entire family absolutely loved it, which almost never happens with fragrances because everyone usually likes different things. The performance is also impressive, especially the way it leaves a lingering clean trail on clothes and in the room. A very unique scent profile that stands out quietly — understated, classy, and memorable at the same time. Aurora Scents truly deserves more recognition for creations like this.

It has obvious similarities to Tygar and Vibrato DNA, but it also reminds me of Hedonist Extrait because of its earthy depth. Of course, it’s not on the level of Ex Nihilo or Hedonist (few fragrances are). It opens with that citrusy, effervescence this DNA is known for, but it’s not as bright as Tygar or Vibrato. It gives the impression of ginger, though that’s likely coming from the elemi. The opening is quickly joined by an earthy undertone that adds depth while the fresh citrus/ginger remains present even into the dry-down. Projection is moderate to good for the first couple of hours, then it starts to sit closer to the skin around the two hour mark. Even so, I’ve had people ask what I’m wearing five hours later. I either own or have owned most of the well known releases of this DNA. For the money, this is the best take on this DNA (at least in my opinion).

Simply amazing. Mr Morillas did an amazing job, one of his better scents in recent times. If this was offered by a more mainstream brand, it would quickly be sold out. Starts citrusy sweet with spicy floral facets in the mid, and settles down to a pleasant woody mossy base. Everything is blended to perfection. An elegant scent that is fresh yet somewhat dark and mysterious at the same time. Performance is good, I get around 6-7 hours with decent projection for the first 2 hours. If you can, try it. But also blind buy worthy IMO. The bottle is a great decoration too

I got a sample, I'm just buying the whole bottle, it deserves every attention. His name says more than words. A volcano of scents that never goes away without being remembered, stands out from the expansion of copies and behaves like a gentleman.....Gentlemen who are like a volcano should try this masterpiece.

Be prepared for all your 10 out 10 fragrances to pale in comparison after sniffing this one, 11 out of 10! Only bad thing is that it is not that well known, from what i've seen, so they might stop selling it.

I received the bottle today, it's a real pleasure to hold in my hand, a cool, black, marble ball, like a magic ball. I think it will take some time for the scent to develop.

This falls along the lines of scents like vibrato, ingenious ginger, turathi blue, tygar, al qiam silver etc. The elemi comes off like a spicy ginger but it tones down that screech of the aforementioned fragrances which actually makes it very soft and not so abrasive. The bottle is amazing, but the name and vibe doesn't match the scent at all. Very nice pick up for me for roughly $45 at a discounter

All these reviews are cooked. This is a feminine DNA that reminds me of ToSummer Osmanthus. Opens with citrus some light florals and what I assume is elemi and pepper giving it a kind of a balsamic playdough nuance. As it dries down, the citrus dissipates, allowing the osmanthus and Jasmine to shine through, with a lightly fruity-sweet and slightly earthy undertone. Low to moderate projection for 1-2hrs before settling into a small intimate scent bubble for another 2-3hrs then trails off to a skin scent.

This is quite unique and doesn't remind of any fragrance I've smelled before but it does remind me of Hawaiian Punch in the best way possible. May need to macerate a bit as the performance doesn't appear to be all that wonderful but nonetheless, it's a very good scent. I bought it for around $50 and for that price, you more than get some bang for your buck.

I’ll keep this simple — this fragrance smells at least 60% similar to Guerlain’s L’Homme Idéal Platine Privé. The resemblance is clear, but it still has its own nuances that make it worth exploring. If you love Platine Privé but want something in the same style with a slight twist, this is a solid option.

Aurora Scents Obsidian got that cool, laid back pressure to it. It ain’t doing too much, but it’s definitely making itself known. Smooth, clean, and got that dark edge that keeps it interesting. Date night energy for sure.niche quality with the niche price! Beautiful scent

Beautiful fragrance. Reminds me a lot more of Tygar just a bit heavier on the citrus opening. Dries down into a fresh spicy fragrance. Sort of has this fizzy ginger ale type of smell to it. Really nice fragrance.
