The Guardian Of Heaven

Bought blindly, somehow exactly what I was craving for the past few weeks. Why are the notes wrong here? (Pepper, Ginger, Jasmine are listed in the mid on the official site, top and base are correct.) There's definitely a gingeresque feel once the citruses subside a bit, and nothing powdery nor green-floraly that would suggest orris (which isn't mentioned in the official note breakdown, neither are muguet nor gardenia or rose). Starts very citrusy, with bitter grapefruit leading the way. Bergamot gives it an acidic smell, while the mandarin gives it sweetness. Surprisingly, all three listed can be identified. As it dries, ginger pops through, and some floral aspect, which I wouldn't necessarily connect to jasmine. Slowly, subdued vetiver comes through, while the scent overall freshens up and becomes almost aquatic in nature. In the far drydown, I fail to recognize amber, but tonka is clearly present. It's a lovely scent, and the packaging is stupendous. I once stated how impressed I was with this house, and, having bought a couple more, I must reiterate - I'm bedazzled by Aurora's scents.

Lalique Encre Meets Bvlgari Tygar This is a clone of Bvlgari Tygar, with a strong vetiver. That same fresh citrus for Tygar, and with vetivery woodiness of Encre. The vetiver also adds a greenness to the scent. Fresh, citrusy, woody, green, slightly sharp, and a little sweet. I would say that this is one of the best inspirations of Bvlgari Tygar/Encre Noire. Aurora Scents do have another Tygar clone, Habanera Black. However, this is better for me. It's deeper and richer. Habanera, in comparison, smells more synthetic. Yet, Habanera Black is still a good clone on its own Warm-to-neutral weather, masculine scent. "Love"

Amazing perfume with long standing and fresh

Top notch presentation that exudes luxury,, substantial boxy bottle with a nice pressurized atomizer, wooden box with velvet inlays, hefty well designed metal cap and a unique leather keychain. That's all there is for the price of $80 on the official website and even $175 on some other sites, the juice in the bottle is appalling. Luckily/unluckily I got mine from a friend who just got back from the UAE for $39. Jeez, I've had 2-5 dollar deodorant sticks that last and project longer than this. Well blended quality and smells good but it is so light that you can hardly smell anything in the air after 5-10min, literally 0 projection, I had to continually smell my wrist to remind myself that I was wearing something. I believe the oil concentration in the fragrance is high (could still see the oil shimmering on my skin after an hour) but why it's longevity barely makes it into the 2 hr mark is shocking. Made in Germany and a perfumer behind this, is shocking. Will let it sit for like a month to mature, hopefully it improves. If you're buying this just as a collectors item, just for the presentation, then awesome. But the juice shouldn't be called an EDP, there are Eau De Fraiches that performs better than this. Presentation - 10/10 Smell - 7/10 Longevity - 3/10 Projection & Sillage - 1/10 Quality of blend - 8/10

Update: After letting this mature for 2 weeks, it's improved a bit, but still damn bang average Smell - 8/10 became a lil bit richer. Longevity 6hrs 6/10 Projection & Sillage - 5/10 (arms lenth projection for first 1-1.5 hr but sillage below average.
