Clean Musk

I LOVE most of Authenticity Perfume's fragrances and REALLY wish they had the whole Line-Up represented here and wonder why its not. I admit that I have NOT tried (Clean Musk) but Id really like to. What I do own Is Tobacco Bo$$ which is a very well-made fragrance and I really like the vivid, strong "Orange Peel" like opening, but it does end up smelling very, VERY much like "Maple Syrup" in the mid which I really just don't wanna smell like if Im being honest. I have to give Tobacco Boss a 6 outta 10 only bc Im not liking the similarity to Maple Syrup which is really whatcha get through most of the wearing experience here, plus Im not really getting much "Tobacco" in this fragrance sadly. This is NOT a slight towards Authenticity Perfumes bc its an AMAZING Independent house which I FULLY SUPPORT and highly admire and absolutely recommended! I also own Cigar Musk which is very nice and has this "Classic Gentlemanly vibe" while still managing to be quite unique and super versitile, it's quite fresh, slightly spicey with light hints of Tobacco Leaf. It's not at all smokey or off-putting, but does lean quite masculine imo.Again, its a "Classic Masculine dna". Great fragrance and an 8 outta 10 fragrance imo. Autheniticy sent me a very nice sized decant of Cedar Pine which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I really love how the pine is done in such a modern way here! Its NOT astringent or off-putting. It NOT a "Alfa Male" hair on your chest tupe of Pine line i. Say, Ralph Laurens polo or Jaques Bogart Signature for example. Its a very beautiful, fresh, "Mass-Appealing" slightly woody summer/spring gem of a fragrance. Just stunning, somewhat unique fragrance which I highly recommend and also give an 8 outta 10. Now we arrive at Cherry Land 🍒. My absolute fave from this house so far. Its a GORGEOUS, ultra fresh, ultra UNIQUE fruity fragrance which surprisingly leans just a bit more Masculine than feminine IMO, but can absolutely be pulled of by women no problemo! I really love the fresh out the wash vibe that this excellent clean musk offers and it makes me hold my head up just a l' bit higher whenever I rock this fragrance when out and about. The sillage is truly insane with Cherryland as well as the longevity, and imo actually beats out Tobacco Bo$$ which I didn't think was even possible with this house, especially since Cherry Land is a "Freshie ". Again, there is the "Clean Laundry Vibe" along with that pleasant and persistent Cherry note which sticks with you throughout the life of the wear WO becoming annoying whatsoever bc its meet in equal parts by that beautiful, clean musk. This fragrance is definately a 9 outta 10 fragrance imo with MAD POINTS for not following the trend of smelling like Tom Ford's Lost Cherry which I also love, but have noticed tbat most of the time when another house does a cherry frag, its a very similar Fall/Winter fragrance.

Honestly my favorite day off / summer lazy day scent. Musky and clean first and foremost with nice fresh lime and creamy and slightly powdery sandalwood lies in the background

Finally adding AP fragrances I see. This is as the name explains sort of like Jovan men’s white musk mixed with the body shop men’s white musk.

Fresh out of the shower, clean white musk with lime and a touch of the creaminess of sandalwood. On clothing it does have a steamed linen with lime scent. What I get off of skin is something reminiscent of the scent when I first step out of the shower and the steam is still rising off my skin. This doesn't smell like shower gel or "blue" fragrances, I don't get a particularly soapy aroma, except in the sense that soap may have white musk, and perhaps, citrus. To me it lives up to the name - clean white musk with a fairly realistic-smelling lime. I use Dior Homme Cologne, which is another white musk scent but this is a more basic scent along similar lines. The musk is less refined and it's paired with lime, rather than the slightly floral grapefruit of the DHC. I live in humid Florida, and this works well in the steamy heat. It doesn't project very far and lasts a few hours before becoming a skin scent for a few more but that's fine for the heat. To me, it's a masculine take on the concept of a "your skin but better" scent.

This uses Habanolide musk (I'm pretty sure) which gives off a strong linen paper smell .. Honestly I can't get the smell of smell of paper out of my head. Its a blind buy regret. As someone who has reviewed nearly 200 fragrances and gravitates toward high-quality Middle Eastern musks and regal, soapy profiles (think PDM Percival or Dubai Musk), I found this to be a bit of an enigma. On paper, a 50% concentration sounds like a powerhouse, but in practice, this is a very quiet, minimalist molecular scent. It lacks the 'punch' or soapy radiance of a typical white musk. Instead, I get a distinct metallic, glossy paper, and Scotch tape vibe. It’s ultra-clean and modern, but it sits extremely close to the skin/fabric—almost too close if you’re looking for any kind of presence. If you’re someone who wants an 'Office Depot' fresh, industrial-clean aura that won't offend a single soul, this fits the bill. But you will in fact smell like office depot. It's just a scent that reminds of times when my dad was picking up copier paper at a large warehouse in the 90's. Blind buy regret but with the discount code it was only 35 bucks. Also I had to stick my nose close to it to actually smell it once I sprayed it. Also when I smell the cap it's almost like it's not even there. Other musk fragrances it's the opposite - some of them are nuclear and very radiant.

I admit, this was a blind buy for me based on YouTube reviewers' hype. It's a very basic, clean musky fragrance. The best way I can describe it is that it has the same smell as when I have ironed a shirt with a steam iron - the smell of fresh laundry combined with steam and heat. I guess the question is, when would I ever want to smell like this? The answer is - never. hahaha. I suppose it could have some use to spray on bed linens or a pillow to freshen it or to freshen up a linen closet. Perhaps it would have some use for layering, although I can't yet imagine how. So, my bottle sits in my collection, the most regretted purchase at this point.

I'm in TOTAL agreement with "Morenoetrata" (remark below). I came here to endorse the idea that more of Authenticity Perfumes selections might be reviewed on the site, based on two of them that he didn't even mention. Word seems to be that SUMMER VIBEZ is Sonny's, duh, summer banger, and, apparently, there's a new one, RECOGNITION, as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sha5RFYfKew 50% oil concentration, it appears, which ought to give an idea of what to expect, in terms of longevity, sillage, projection (in most cases) I also find myself leaning toward agreeing with "Smirky" (also below) In terms of the notes, all the stated experiences with Clean Musk, plus, the very name itself, would lead me expect this fragrance to smell as he described it, which has it's place, but, I probably wouldn't find myself using it too often, if, at all. Now, some of the other ones, though,...

This smells amazing. It smells exactly like clean linen. It smells in the vein of TF Oud Wood and Lamasat Oud. This is really good and performs like a monster.

This house has some of my favorite fragrances. Clean musk, fresh boss, barbershop, authenticity eau de parfum, summer vibez 5.0, and l’homme riche.
