Nude Musk

I love Ava Luxe ́s way of making perfume, even though not all of her (Serena Ava Franco) creations suits me that good. But Nude Musk was love at first sniff for me, and also the first big bottle I ́ve bought from her. It is subtle, soft and so damn sexy that it is one of the sexiest perfumes i ́ve ever encountered. It is a pleasant to wear, I can wear it all year round. If you like musk you must try it, if you ́re hesistant toward musk perfumes, still... this one is a must try and i think you can learn to appreciate musk after trying it. It is sweet, close to skin, powdery and very feminine. Still I can imagine it on some brave men... It is so cosy, relaxing and truly sultry. It says that you are much sexier without any clothes at all, and that true sensuality comes from within, not having anything to do with accesoars, sexy clothes or high heeled shoes. The bergamott is so pretty, the vanilla is smoth, creamy and pleasant and the musk and sandalwood base is heavenly. Not maybe the most complex scent around, but in this case simple is the most beautiful. Nude Musk will always have a special place close to my heart.

Nude Musk is one of my very favourite scents; it always feels appropriate and makes me feel subtly sexy. Years ago, I ordered a couple of different Ava Luxe scents and received a free sample of Nude Musk in my package. I had never considered myself a fan of musks but, literally, as soon as I smelled this I fell head over heels in love. It smells like warm, slightly humid summer heat, and just-out-of-the shower after a long day in the sun freshness. For a simple, fresh scent it has very decent sillage and lasting power. It goes just as well with shorts and sandals as with a little black dress. If I had to choose only one of my perfumes to keep for the rest of my life, this would be it.

A spicy musk, in the same general category as “Egyptian musk”, this perfume oil starts out with a rich combination of musks (of course), citrus, spice, powder, and vanilla, as well as a slight vinyl shower curtain note. The shower curtain gradually recedes, leaving a lovely, strong, powdery, clean vanilla musk that lasts for at least 8 hours on skin. I love all of AL’s musks, including this one.

Gorgeous, sensual, and soft. A creamy lemon musk that melts into the skin and has no harshness or "perfumeyness". One of the best clean musks out there.

Lovely, soft and musky vanilla goodness, without the cupcake or cotton candy (candyfloss) angle. There's the tiniest bit of citrus up top, followed by a gorgeous musk, vanilla and sandalwood. Of the perfume oils I have, this is my favorite. I reach for it when I can't decide which scent to wear, as once it settles, it's less a perfume and more of a sexy, delicious, slightly powdery skin scent. Have two back up bottles and I'm happy I do; an email to Serena (the perfumer behind the brand) reveals that it's been discontinued. She could no longer source the ingredients and one can assume that instead of offering up a poor reformulation, she decided to give it the axe. Very sad.

Ava Luxe NUDE MUSK is a simple yet satisfying musk perfume with an oriental edge imparted by vanilla-infused sandalwood. There is almost a cinnamony texture and scent to the sandalwood, albeit very light. As advertised, NUDE MUSK is fairly minimalist: no flowers whatsoever. However, the musk is clean and the oriental notes render this a sumptuous skin scent in the drydown. To state the obvious, you must love musk in order to appreciate NUDE MUSK, but this is a decided improvement over the infamous drugstore varieties!

Very very soft beautiful musk. This has a very soft vanilla dry down on me. The vanilla stands out. Love that it’s an oil because it last quite a long time on my skin. This does sit very close on skin. Best for office wear! Daytime wear! Summer wear.

I agree with everything rebella says, this is one pretty, easy to wear, light powdery sexy musk with a healthy dose of vanilla. I however, do not get any bergamot, but I can't say I'm unhappy about it.

One of the finest sheer musks out there. Lemon and musk, simple and clean. A bit powdery but never that dreaded baby powder feeling. Just lovely.
